Lloyd's of London confirms Brussels base!

When I read the above headline on the BBC front page I thought wow, are Lloyd's really moving to Brussels?

Reading on I learn that it's a subsidiary,  you can read the BBC article here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business

Of course the truth is somewhat less exciting as Lloyd's chief executive Inga Beale said this morning, "It's not moving our whole London base, it's just setting up an EU subsidiary."

Lloyd's Chairman John Nelson said:

"London will remain the major financial centre for Europe. It's certainly going to remain the major financial centre for Lloyd's."

John Nelson also said that the number of jobs in the Brussels subsidiary would be in the "tens, not the hundreds".  Lloyd's of London currently has 995 staff. It is not even clear that any jobs will move from London to Brussels or if these will be extra jobs.

But for the BBC facts are less important than pushing the BBC's anti Brexit narrative.

BDS Fail: UN Ambassador Nikki Haley Says 'U.S. Has Israel's Back' Against 'Hateful' Boycott Movement per Breitbart

Is the tide turning against BDS lies?

'U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley received a standing ovation at the General Assembly on Wednesday after pledging to defend Israel against the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, saying it was a modern day incarnation of an "ancient hatred."

"Know that the United States has Israel's back, and know that you now have a fighter and a friend in the UN to help you,"'

United Airlines are not a Misogynist Regime

The recent furore over the United Airlines preventing some users of free travel passes to use them whilst they were inappropriately dressed was simply ridiculous. The BBC along with other media pushed the line that this was a misogynistic policy and was unfair. As is so often the case, the BBC were wrong.

Anyone who has flown a fair amount will have been made aware of the airline employee perk of free (or near free) by chatting to the smartly dressed passenger, usually travelling alone.

'When most people choose jobs in the airline industry, a huge draw for them is the flight benefits. Most airlines worldwide allow their employees free standby travel on their own airline, and nearly free travel on many others. As if that isn't enticing enough, the benefits are usually extended to spouses, parents and children, with buddy passes also offered for anyone else the employee would like to offer them to. These perks are about as wonderful as getting keys to the world. I still feel like I stole something whenever my name is called by the agent to claim my free seat.

In return, our employers make very clear what they would like from us and others to whom we extend our privileges. They take great pains to spell these simple requirements out: We are to not abuse the benefits we are given by selling passes or fraudulently adding dependents, we do not cause a fuss if there is not a seat for us and, lastly, we have to observe the dress code. It doesn't seem a lot to ask, especially now that the requirements have been eased to the point where a t-shirt, jeans and sneakers are permissible. My dependents have never had a problem with it, and neither have I. Nor have I ever heard complaints from others in the industry.'

The BBC like people to have benefits but not have to comply with the regulations around those benefits. In a way this reminds me of the fuss over the increase in NIC for some self-employed in the UK. For some time the BBC happily pushed the line that it was unfair that the self-employed didn't have sick pay or holiday pay, never mentioning the tax and other benefits of being self-employed,  and rejoiced at the fairness of such benefits being so extended. However when a Conservative government decides that the extension of in work benefits to the self employed means that their Tax and NIC advantages might have to be reduced - pandemonium.

For the BBC the worker must have all the benefits possible without any concomitant increases in tax or National Insurance. What's the problem after all it all comes from the magic money tree.

UK breaks with EU at U.N., changes stance on Israel, adopts UN Watch statistics per UN Watch

The institutionally anti Israel BBC will not be happy...

'In an unprecedented move, Prime Minister Theresa May's government changed the UK's vote on Friday at the U.N. Human Rights Council on what it rightly called a "perverse" resolution condemning Israel for allegedly maltreating the Druze residents of the Golan Heights — and London warned that it would oppose all UNHRC resolutions on Israel if the UNHRC's bias does not stop.

In past votes on the same text — introduced annually by Syria's Assad regime, and more recently by the Islamic group acting as a surrogate — the UK had abstained, together with EU states.

This time, however, the UK joined the U.S. in voting No, in what experts say is a move by London to closely align itself with Washington. Brexit is about to begin and the UK increasingly needs to rely on close ties with America.

More significantly, the UK also declared on Friday that if the UNHRC doesn't change its anti-Israel bias, they will begin to vote No on all five of the annual resolutions concerning Israel.

"Today we are putting the Human Rights Council on notice. If things do not change, in the future we will adopt a policy of voting against all resolutions concerning Israel's conduct…"

To explain their new principled approach, the UK adopted UN Watch's statistics showing the council's bias, instead of numbers put out by the council's champions which, in order to downplay the UNHRC's bigotry, dilute the figures by wrongly conflating consequential resolutions that condemn countries with toothless texts that praise countries.

Here is the full written statement put out by the UK, in which it noted that the UNHRC's resolutions on Israel failed to address Palestinian terrorism or glorification of terrorism:

But we must also recognise the continuing terrorism, incitement and violence that Israel faces. According to the Quartet's report last year, there were 250 terrorist attacks, leading to the deaths of at least 30 Israelis. Renewed Hamas efforts to rebuild their tunnels are a grave concern. The scourge of anti-Semitic incitement and glorification of terrorism continue. And for as long as terrorists are treated as martyrs, peace will prove distant.

That is why we continue to call on all parties to act in accordance with international law. And that is why we supported UN Security Council Resolution 2334, which tackles both settlements and terror alike.

And yet neither "terrorism" nor "incitement" were a focus of this week's Council discussions and resolutions. This is not acceptable.
The UK statement went on to address the overall UNHRC bias against Israel—and adopted UN Watch's statistics (as opposed to those of council defenders and apologists which wrongly conflate UNHRC country condemnation with resolutions that praise the country concerned.)

Our enduring commitment to the universality of rights is also our source of enduring disappointment with the Council's bias against Israel. Israel is a population of eight million in a world of seven billion. Yet since its foundation, the Human Rights Council has adopted 135 country-specific resolutions; 68 of which against Israel. Justice is blind and impartial. This selective focus on Israel is neither.

Israel is the only country permanently on the Human Rights Council's agenda. Indeed when the Council voted to include Israel as a permanent item in 2007 – the so-called agenda Item 7 – it was Ban Ki Moon who expressed his deep disappointment "given the range and scope of allegations of human rights violations throughout the world."
In an unprecedented move, the UK changed its vote from abstain to oppose on the Golan Heights resolution, saying that it sent a "perverse" message:

Nowhere is the disproportionate focus on Israel starker and more absurd than in the case of today's resolution on the occupation of Syria's Golan. Syria's regime butchers and murders its people on a daily basis. But it is not Syria that is a permanent standing item on the Council's agenda; it is Israel. Ten years have passed since Item 7 was instituted, and there has been no sign of change. Whilst we are unswerving in our conviction that the Golan Heights are occupied and do not recognise Israel's annexation, we cannot accept the perverse message sent out by a Syria Golan resolution that singles out Israel, as Asad continues to slaughter the Syrian people. So we have voted against the Golan resolution.

Finally, the UK put the UNHRC "on notice," announcing that if the "unacceptable pattern of bias" does not stop, the UK will adopt a policy of voting against all resolutions on Israel:

Ultimately peace is built, brick by brick, through trust and goodwill on all sides. Human rights violations break down that trust. And so it is incumbent on Palestinians and Israelis alike to abide by International Human Rights Law. But by continuing an unacceptable pattern of bias through Item 7, the Council discredits its necessary voice, hardening positions on both sides. For as long as the Human Rights Council continues down this disproportionate and biased path, it will make the achievement of a negotiated two-state solution harder not easier.

So today we are putting the Human Rights Council on notice. If things do not change, in the future we will adopt a policy of voting against all resolutions concerning Israel's conduct in the Occupied Syrian and Palestinian Territories.'

Will the BBC manage to calm down enough to even report this? Presumably they'll find a Middle East expert to say how dangerous for the prospects of peace in the Middle East this is.

J Scott Armstrong: Fewer Than 1 Percent Of Papers in Scientific Journals Follow Scientific Method per Breitbart

'Fewer than 1 percent of papers published in scientific journals follow the scientific method, according to research by Wharton School professor and forecasting expert J. Scott Armstrong.

Professor Armstrong, who co-founded the peer-reviewed Journal of Forecasting in 1982 and the International Journal of Forecasting in 1985, made the claim in a presentation about what he considers to be "alarmism" from forecasters over man-made climate change.'

London Stock Exchange-Deutsche Boerse deal blocked by EU per BBC News

It's odd that on the very day that the Article 50 process is put into place, the EU makes a positive decision for the UK.

'EU regulators have blocked London Stock Exchange's £21bn merger with German stock exchange Deutsche Boerse.

The European Commission said the deal would have created a "de facto monopoly" for certain financial services.

The merger would have combined Europe's two largest stock exchange operators.'

Hundreds of Islamic State Volunteers Have Returned to Britain - be afraid, be very afraid

This Breitbart report http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/03/28/hundreds-islamic-state-volunteers-returned-britain/ should scare the crap out of you. Here's an extract, but do read the whole article:

'Security sources have told Sky News that more than four hundred British jihadists who travelled to the Middle East to fight for terror organisations like Islamic State and the al-Nusra Front have returned home, and most have evaded the authorities.

Former Scotland Yard Specialist Firearms Officer and author Tony Long told the broadcaster these fighters could pose serious problems for the British authorities.'

If the primary duty of the State is the safety of its people then the British state has been derelict in performing that duty.

Look what the BBC choose to omit from a report

When I read the BBC report of Mustafa Bashir attacking his then wife, Fakhara Karim, I thought how sad and terrible.

Now thanks to Biasedbbc.org and The Express I know what aspects of the trial the BBC chose to omit from their reports.

'Curiously the BBC report does not include this…from the Express…

Passing an 18 month jail term suspended for two years Judge Mansell QC  said…..

"She would buy clothes that were of a western style which you disapproved of and called her a slag and said her friends were 'English slag girls.'

Why would the BBC hide the fact that a Pakistani Muslim called white girls that?

Is the BBC biased about Brexit? Guess what?

The magnificent Craig at isthebbcbiased.blogspot.co.uk has a report of a news-watch analysts of the BBC Radio 4 Today program coverage of Brexit

'... News-watch have (correctly) taken the maximal approach and covered every business spot on Today over a six month period.

In summary, the stats show that of the 366 guest speakers featured:
192 (53%) were negative about the impact of Brexit
114 (31%) were neutral contributions
60 (16%) were positive about the impact of Brexit

In other words, "there were three times more anti-Brexit speakers than pro-Brexit ones invited by the BBC to participate in the prestigious slot".

And, to make matters worse, a mere 2% (10 contributors) were with supporters of withdrawal from the EU. '

You can read more here http://isthebbcbiased.blogspot.co.uk/2017/03/guess-what.html and you can hear, read and see more pro Remain bias all over the BBC.

Italian Public Prosecutor Accuses NGOs of Abetting Illegal Immigration into Italy

I am so unsurprised by this revelation. The left are set on destroying European civilisation and mass third would immigration is the weapon that they have chosen so to do.

'An Italian public prosecutor has called for monitoring of the funding of NGOs engaged in rescue operations in the Mediterranean Sea, noting that "the facilitation of illegal immigration is a punishable offense regardless of the intentions."

The remarks of Carmelo Zuccaro, the chief prosecutor of Catania (Sicily), followed closely on the release of a report last week by the border control agency of the European Union (EU), suggesting that NGOs have been complicit with human traffickers by providing a shuttle service from North Africa to Italy.

In point of fact, the report stated, NGOs engaged in maritime rescue operations "help criminals achieve their objectives at minimum cost, strengthen their business model by increasing the chances of success."'

More here at Breitbart http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/03/26/italian-public-prosecutor-accuses-ngos-of-abetting-illegal-immigration-into-italy/ but obviously not on the pro unlimited immigration BBC.

UK: What British Muslims Really Think

Post the latest Islamist terrorist attack on London the usual idiots and liars are telling the British public that there are only a tiny minority of Muslims who support terrorism and that the Islamists ideology is a perversion of a great religion of peace. Fine words, shame they're crap.

The truth is out there, it's pretty easy to find too.

'The 615-page survey found that more than 100,000 British Muslims sympathize with suicide bombers and people who commit other terrorist acts. Moreover, only one in three British Muslims (34%) would contact the police if they believed that somebody close to them had become involved with jihadists.

In addition, 23% of British Muslims said Islamic Sharia law should replace British law in areas with large Muslim populations.

On social issues, 52% of the Muslims surveyed said they believe homosexuality should be illegal, compared to 22% of non-Muslim Britons.

Nearly half believe it is unacceptable for a gay or lesbian to teach their children.

At the same time, almost a third (31%) of British Muslims think polygamy should be legalized. Among 18-to-24-year-olds, 35% think it is acceptable to have more than one wife.

Thirty-nine percent of Muslims surveyed believe women should always obey their husbands, compared to 5% for non-Muslims.

One in three British Muslims refuse completely to condemn the stoning of women accused of adultery.

The poll also found that a fifth of British Muslims have not entered the home of a non-Muslim in the past year.

Of the British Muslims surveyed, 35% believe Jewish people have too much power in the UK, compared to 8% of non-Muslims.'

You can read more about this here https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/7861/british-muslims-survey but obviously not on the BBC whose support for the narrative that they have helped shape leaves no room for inconvenient facts.

Pro-settlement hardliner Friedman confirmed as US envoy to Israel per BBC News

This BBC report http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-39375961 contains the usual BBC anti President Donald Trump trigger words - hardliner and right wing prominent amongst them.

However it also includes this line:

'The Palestinians want East Jerusalem as the capital of their promised future state - but Israel claims the entire city as its undivided capital.'

Is that really all the Palestinians want? Hamas want all of Jerusalem, all of Israel and as many dead Jews as possible, ditto Hezbollah, and do Fatah/PLO/The Palestinian Authority really want anything less than that?

Man held for 'driving at crowd' in Antwerp, Belgium per BBC News

Guess who?

The BBC have to report http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-39369202 that:

'A French national of North African origin has been arrested in the Belgian city of Antwerp on suspicion of driving at a crowd, officials say.

A car was driven "at high speed" on De Meir, the northern city's main shopping street, before it was intercepted. There were no reports of any injuries.

Knives, a non-lethal gun and some unidentifiable liquid were found in the car, prosecutors say.'

London attack: Khalid Masood identified as killer per BBC News

BBC news are forced to report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-39372154 that the perpetrator of yesterday's attack in Westminster has been named by police as Khalid Masood.

'Kent-born Masood, who was shot dead in the attack, was not the subject of any current police investigations, but had a range of previous convictions.

The 52-year-old was believed to have been living in the West Midlands.

The so-called Islamic State group has said it was behind the attack, in which PC Keith Palmer, Aysha Frade and US tourist Kurt Cochran were killed.'

A Muslim killing in the name of the Islamic State, who saw that coming?

And here they come

Leading Labour figure Harriet Harman has said that the attack should not "be used as a pretext for division… and Islamophobia". The Prime Minister "absolutely" agreed.

Words cannot express my feelings re comments such as those.

Westminster Attacker ‘British Born’, Known to MI5 - quelle surprise

In possibly the least surprising development following the terrorist attack on Westminster:

'Prime Minister Theresa May has confirmed the Westminster attacker who killed three on Wednesday was "British-born" and had been investigated by security forces in the past.

Speaking in parliament, Mrs May said the man was known to police and MI5 and had been investigated "some years ago" "in relations to concerns about violent extremism".

However, she described him as a "peripheral figure" and said, "the case is historic"."

He was not part of the current intelligence picture", the Prime Minister added. "His identity is known to the police and MI5, and when operational consideration allow he will be publicly identified".'

This sums up the extent of the problem we face. He was investigated years ago and was deemed to be a peripheral figure and not part of the current intelligence picture. Some years later this peripheral figure carries out a terrorist attack at the heart of London.

How many more peripheral figures are there?

How many of them are ready and willing to kill?

Is it time for internment?

Islamic State Supporters Celebrate 'Blessed' Westminster Terror Attack and reminders of the warnings

We were warned, we just didn't want to know.

'Jihadists have repeatedly threatened to strike the UK in recent years. In April last year, Islamic State released a video, praising the attacks in Paris and Brussels and promising London, Berlin, or Rome will be next.

The video, titled, "Fight them, Allah will punish them by your hands" after a Quran verse (009:014), quotes another verse (191-193) calling on Muslims to "kill [infidels] wherever you find them" and promised more "dark days" for Europe.

"Nations of the cross this message is for you. Know that your options are few: either you join Islam, or pay tribute, or face the war," the narrator added.'

They mean it, regardless of what moral relativists, Marxists and BBC 'experts' tell you, the Islamists really mean it. They want us kufr dead and they've got the Koranic verses to support their actions.

More here http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/03/23/islamic-state-supporters-celebrate-blessed-westminster-terror-attack/ but definitely not ever on the BBC.

In the aftermath of an Islamist terrorist attack - please follow the dhimmi approved 20 point plan

1. An immediate declaration is made that this has nothing to do with Islam and the terrorist does not represent real Islam. White leftist often atheist experts on the Quran and Islamic doctrine suddenly emerge on BBC News to save the day.

2. Muslims claim to be followers of the religion of peace and media outlets, especially the BBC and the pro immigration Labour Party push this agenda hard and fast down your throats.

3. Strong claims that the UK arms and US presence in the Middle East is the cause of this attack.

4. The terrorist is claimed as mentally ill or simply misguided, perhaps poor and desperate without any evidence that suggests that as nobody even knows who he really is yet. Once they know, every effort is made to find a way to place him into one of the justified excuses above which is supposed to somehow give him immunity for their crimes.

5. The terrorist attack is declared as a "lone wolf attack".

6. Claims that it's just part of everyday living in a big city are made.

7 Claims that Christians and Jews do these things too are made but with zero evidence of this.

8. Facebook profiles are changed to the flag of the inflicted country "Pray For (insert country or city here)"

9. Candles are lit, vigils are held and people go on a peace march to show solidarity with Muslims not with the victims and their families.

10. Claims are made that Muslims are the real victims here.

11. All religions are equated as being a danger to society even though we all know there is only one violent religion on our planet.

12. Israel is blamed especially on Wednesday and Thursday, Monday and Tuesday, obviously Friday and at the weekend.

13. Many thousands of Muslims worldwide both online and in public rallies including Imaams and political leaders praise the attacks as heroic in the name of Jihad. All media outlets ignore this completely.

14. Random and very irrelevant statistics are brought out about how you have more chance of dying from a shark in your bath than in a terrorist attack.

15. Token Muslims and lefty dhimmis and liars come out to express their disgust at the actions of the terrorist and then somehow blame it on the actions of the country where it took place and Israel too.

16. Token leftist Jews come out to express their feelings about how we need to embrace the Muslim community and not behave like Nazis and also end the occupation in Israel.

17. Token leftist Christians come out to express how we should all just get along and sing Kumbaya together.

18. Those who object to any of the above are called racist, bigots or closed minded Brexiters.

19. Everyone then waits for the next Islamist terrorist attack to happen.

20. Go back to 1.and repeat as needed.

London attack: Seven held after armed police raids per BBC News

The BBC report on the latest terrorist atrocity in the UK http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-39363297 includes this police plea:

'In a statement made outside Scotland Yard, Mr Rowley said: "The inquiries in Birmingham, London and other parts of the country are continuing."It is still our belief - which continues to be borne out by our investigation - that this attacker acted alone and was inspired by international terrorism.

"To be explicit, at this stage we have no specific information about further threats to the public.

"He said he would not name the bridge victims yet, who were "a mix of nationalities", and urged journalists not to publish the attacker's name while searches were continuing.'

So the attacker's name shouldn't be published? I don't know what it is but I can probably guess what sort of name it is.

Sadiq Khan: London mayor says terror attacks 'part and parcel' of living in a major city per The Independent

'Sadiq Khan: London mayor says terror attacks 'part and parcel' of living in a major city

Labour politician says capitals 'have got to be prepared' for attacks... '

Remember that comment from sentence 2016 when you read any facile comments from the London Mayor. He's probably right terror attacks are likely to be part and parcel of living in a major city like London, but I'd like him to explain why, and who the terrorists are.

London attack - latest updates - BBC News

The BBC news latest update http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-39355940 saya that four people have died in the attack including the attacker.

I'd prefer to say that three people have been killed in a terrorist attack this afternoon. A fourth person, believed to be the perpetrator, was also killed by armed police so as to end the incident.

That seems fairer and more accurate but not if you're a moral relativist I suppose.

London attack: Woman dies in Westminster 'terror' incident per BBC News

This horrific news http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-39355940 is no great surprise. Such attacks are commonplace in Israel and have come to mainland Europe already.

How long until we discover the name of the perpetrator? How long after that before we are told that he/she had psychological problems? That is still the code used unless the attacker is a supporter of right-wing causes of course, isn't it?

Martin McGuinness' IRA past in Derry per BBC News

The BBC have acknowledged Martin McGuinness's terrorist past, but it's hidden away in this piece http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-39341862

Here's an extract from that report to give you a flavour of the sort of man he was:
.
'However, several well-placed security sources agree that Martin McGuinness would have had advanced knowledge of virtually every Provisional IRA attack in his home city of Derry after he was appointed chief of staff.

"The bottom line is that nothing happened in Derry without Martin knowing about it," says one.

"He wouldn't have been involved in planning every attack, but he would have been told what was planned. If he didn't object, the attack went ahead. If he objected, it didn't. It was that simple, he had a veto"

One of the attacks police sources have claimed Martin McGuinness authorised was one of the most notorious of the Troubles. In October 1990, Patsy Gillespie, a Catholic who worked in a local army base, was taken from his home and strapped into a van containing 1,000lbs of explosives.

Labelled a "collaborator" by the IRA, he was told to drive the van to an army checkpoint at Coshquin near the border, while his family was held hostage.

When he reached his destination, Mr Gillespie was not given time to escape. The bomb was detonated by remote control, killing him and five soldiers.

"Given the way Martin McGuinness controlled the IRA in Derry at that time, it is inconceivable that he would not have had prior knowledge about such an attack because of its scale and the huge public outcry the IRA would have known would follow," says another former senior security source.

"He may not have drawn up the plan, but he would have known, and could have intervened to stop it."'

That's the freedom fighter that the BBC want to praise today. I'm rather more in agreement with Lord Tebbit.

Minister told to remind Germany of cancelled WW2 debt amid EU demand for £50bn Brexit fee per Express.co.uk

This Express article http://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/781613/Brexit-news-Article-50-talks-EU-exit-fee-50billion-Sir-Bill-Cash-Germany-war-debt-WW2 is rather interesting.

This section was especially of interest:

'The peers' report revealed legal evidence shows if the UK walks away from the EU at the end of two-year Article 50 talks without a divorce agreement "all EU law will cease to apply and the UK would not have an obligation to make any financial contribution at all".'

Not the sort of view that the institutionally pro EU will ever publicise.

Why are the incidents of hate crime increasing? Is it as a result of Brexit or are there other, more prosaic, reasons?

G at biasedbbc.org has some fascinating background information:

'G on March 20, 2017 at 9:26 am

I followed through the online registration of a 'hate crime' process some months ago. As you indicate (but give no evidence for), every entry appears to count as an actual 'hate crime'. During the online registration process, it is explained to the registrant that they are under no obligation to give their personal details and if that is the registrants preference, the police can take no further action to investigate the allegations. Common sense, yes but the fatal flaw in the system is that all those who feel aggrieved at being subject to an alleged 'hate crime' have their submitted circumstances taken as an ACTUAL hate crime for statistical purposes without providing sufficient information for the police to investigate.Question: What stops (for example) Islamic charities (of which there are many cashing in on the generosity of the UK Charities system), putting 'employees' to work, simply registering hate crimes 24/7 but not including names and addresses? The registration process is the forerunner of some system to trigger Thought Police?'

Information that you won't find on the biased BBC, so thank heaven for biasedbbc.org https://biasedbbc.org/blog/2017/03/20/start-the-week-open-thread-117/#comments

Martin McGuinness R.I.P or R.I.H?

The BBC article on the death of former IRA Commander Martin McGuinness it seems only partially quotes Lord Tebbit,  see my previous post.

For more of his words I turned to Guido Fawkes who quotes Lord Tebbit thus:
"I'm just pleased that the world is a sweeter and cleaner place now. He was not only a multi-murderer, he was a coward. He knew that the IRA were defeated because British intelligence had penetrated right the way up to the Army Council and that the end was coming. He then sought to save his own skin and he knew that it was likely he would be charged before long with several murders which he had personally committed and he decided that the only thing to do was to opt for peace. He claimed to be a Roman Catholic. I hope that his beliefs turn out to be true and he'll be parked in a particularly hot and unpleasant corner of hell for the rest of eternity."

It would seem that for Lord Tebbit, Martin McGuinness should Rest In Hell.

I'll just repeat what Lord Tebbit has said:

Orly airport: France launches terror investigation per BBC News

The BBC have had to go a fair way down their excuse list for Islamist terrorists for the attack at Orly Airport.

'French anti-terror prosecutors are investigating an attack at Paris's Orly airport by a gunman who was eventually shot dead by security forces.

Ziyed Ben Belgacem, 39, was killed on Saturday after he put a gun to a soldier's head saying he wanted to "die for Allah", officials say.

Earlier that day he had been involved in a shooting and then a carjacking.

Belgacem is described as having been radicalised in prison, and was on a police watch-list.'

The BBC can't say he wasn't an Islamist, he said that wanted "to die for Allah", they can't blame mental illness (yet anyway), they can't blame Western security services for trying to recruit the attacker either. All the BBC have left is that the attacker 'is described as having been radicalised in prison'.

Some questions arise from the deployment of this excuse:
Who has idescribed him as having been radicalised in prison?

What do they have to gain from this excuse being accepted as narrative?

Electrifying feminist sci-fi novel makes political prize longlist per BBC News

I thought that feminism was about equality between the sexes, it seems that I may have been mistaken.

This BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-39291178 seems to be approving of this book and its premise:

'"She throws her head back and pushes her chest forward and lets go a huge blast right into the centre of his body."

That's a line from Naomi Alderman's book The Power, the only novel to appear on this year's longlist for the Orwell Book Prize for political writing.

It imagines a world in which almost every woman suddenly develops the ability to electrocute people at will - "from a tiny tingle all the way to full electro-death".

On her website, Alderman says her "feminist science-fiction" novel explores what would happen if women had the power to cause pain and destruction.'

Delightful...

BBC’s ME editor ditches impartiality in portrayal of ‘international law’ per BBC Watch

This is a fascinating read https://bbcwatch.org/2017/02/19/bbcs-me-editor-ditches-impartiality-in-portrayal-of-international-law/ and its detailing of Jeremy Bowen's actions is clear.

The last thought bears repetition here:

'When the BBC covers stories concerning disputed territory in places such as Cyprus or in Western Sahara it does not find it necessary or appropriate to provide its audiences with an opinion on what is legal or illegal. The difference of course is that the BBC has not adopted a campaigning role in relation to those locations. '

Whereas it does with relation to Israel. The BBC is institutionally anti Israel as I assume the Balen Report showed, which is why the BBC is so desperate to keep it hidden.

The facts that show the problem with US judges obstructing President Donald Trump's immigration reforms

The BBC are delightedly reporting as a few US judges try to stop the implementation of President Donald Trump's immigration reforms.

Thanks to Breitbart http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/03/15/judges-inventing-new-reasons-obstruct-donald-trumps-popular-immigration-reforms/ I now know that:

'... the written law is entirely clear that the written Constitution and the elected Congress give only the elected president and his Senate-confirmed deputies the legal power to accept or deny entry of alien foreigners into the United States.

Here's the relevant statute, 8 U.S.C. § 1182 (f):

(f) Suspension of Entry or Imposition of Restrictions by President

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

The Supreme Court has accepted and validated this "plenary power" of the elected president. For example, the court declared in its 1950 judgment lawsuit, titled Knauff v. Shaughnessy, that "It is not within the province of any court, unless expressly authorized by [congressional] law, to review the determination of the political branch of Government to exclude a given alien."'

Fascinating but irrelevant to the anti President Donald Trump and pro unlimited immigration BBC.

As you won't read on the pro Labour Party BBC - Labour Hit With Maximum Expenses Fraud Fine, McNicol Broke Law per Guido Fawkes

From October 2016 at Guido Fawkes https://order-order.com/2016/10/25/labour-given-maximum-fine-expenses-fraud-mcnicol-committed-offence/

'Labour has been hit with the maximum £20,000 fine after the Electoral Commission found a total of 107 invoices were missing from the party's general election expenses return. Labour general secretary Iain McNicol was found to have committed an offence under section 82(4)(b) of PPERA in respect of the missing payments and a further offence under section 82(4)(b) in respect of the missing invoices. Labour have also been slammed for failing to declare payments in relation to their Labour Express and Labour Students bus tours, which were revealed by Guido.'

The BBC will do their best not to refer to this in their coverage of the Conservative Party fine.

Islam: The world's fastest growing religion per BBC News

The BBC are excited to report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-39279631 that Islam will overtake Christianity as the world's most practiced religion by 2070. The BBC report this research by the US-based Pew Research Center,  oddly they usually ignore Pew Research when it comes up with research that paints Islam in a negative light.

Dutch election: PM Rutte celebrates 'rejection of populism' per BBC News

This BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-39287689 is headlined as a 'rejection of populism'  but the details are a little different.

'With more than 90% of votes counted, the VVD had won 33 out of 150 seats, a loss of eight seats from the previous parliament.

Mr Wilders' Freedom Party (PVV) was in second place on 20 seats, a gain of five, with the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) and the liberal Democrats 66 (D66) close behind with 19 seats each.

The Green-Left party also did well winning 14 seats, an increase of 10.

The Labour Party (PvdA), the junior party in the governing coalition, suffered a historic defeat with only nine seats, a loss of 29.'

It would seem to me that the only rejection was of the Labour Party who lost three quarters of their seats.

Mr Wilders's Party increased its number of seats by a third.

The ruling VVD party, who's leader the BBC is so keen to quote, lost almost a fifth of their seats.

Donald Trump tax: Leaked 2005 document reveals $38m bill per BBC News

This BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-39275838 includes the line that the White House said that publishing this tax return was against the law.

That's a claim, is it true? If it wasn't true then the BBC would surely tell us so, so I assume that the White House statement is correct.

It's interesting that the BBC will happily publicise the result of an illegal act but also spend money on stopping the British public learning what the Balen Report revealed about BBC bias against Israel.

Diane Abbott text row: 'How is it racist or sexist to say you don't fancy someone?' asks Julia Hartley-Brewer per talkRADIO

A fascinating interview but LBC's Julia Hartley-Brewer with Labour's Claudia Webbe.

http://talkradio.co.uk/news/diane-abbott-text-row-how-it-racist-or-sexist-say-you-dont-fancy-someone-asks-julia-hartley

'Julia Hartley-Brewer got into a fiery dispute with a member of Labour's National Executive Committee over the texts David Davis sent about Diane Abbott.

The Brexit Secretary has issued an apology after texts in which he appeared to insult the shadow home secretary's appearance were leaked to the press.

In the texts, Davis was asked if he had tried to hug Abbott in a bar after the final vote on the Article 50 bill in the House of Commons, and replied "I am not blind."

Claudia Webbe, a former advisor to Ken Livingstone, said the texts were "racist, sexist, was absolutely vile and should not have happened."

However, Julia took the view that David Davis was "treating her like one of the boys", and challenged her to explain why the texts were racist.

Julia also rather cheekily asked Claudia whether she herself fancies David Davis - a question which didn't go down well..."

BBC Radio 4 - Radio 4 in Four, The British private schools teaching fundamentalist Christianity

The BBC have made a programme investigating 'fundamentalist Christianity' http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04wg7w9

'The British private schools teaching fundamentalist Christianity
Jolyon Jenkins investigates the network of private Christian schools in Britain that teach that evolution is untrue, homosexuality is wrong, and that wives should submit to their husbands.

These schools use the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum. The entire curriculum, including science, makes continual reference to God's plan. It promotes creationism, and the false idea that humans and dinosaurs co-existed on earth. Jolyon speaks to former pupils who feel that the system has not served them well.'

Is there another religion that teaches that 'homosexuality is wrong, and that wives should submit to their husbands'? Not so far as the BBC are concerned, obviously.

Owen Jones quits social media after threats of "torture and murder" prr BBC News beat who misrepresent what Owen Jones said

This BBC article http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/39242759/owen-jones-quits-social-media-after-threats-of-torture-and-murder misrepresents what Owen Jones said:

'Writer and activist Owen Jones is quitting social media due to the abuse he faces online.

Owen says he has been threatened with "torture and murder" by far right extremists.

But he says the abuse has come from both sides in UK politics with criticism from Labour and Conservative supporters.'

I'm sorry but I've read Owen Jones's statement here - https://m.facebook.com/owenjones84/posts/1283629501730559 (which the BBC article links to) and he doesn't blame Conservatives for these attacks. He does blame various elements of the left and also right wing extremists, but not Conservatives; maybe at the BBC Conservatives are right wing extremities. I would complain to the BBC but what's the point? Anyone else got any time spare?

Tear gas attack on a train in Hamburg but not a word on the BBC, which may mean that...

'Unknown attackers launched a tear gas attack on a train in Hamburg that reports say has injured up to 50 people and led to a massive police presence at the Hamburg train station.

At 6:55 pm Friday evening passengers on a train in Hamburg on the S-Bahn line 11 were subjected to a tear gas attack by two young men injuring 50 including a three-year-old girl.

Paramedics and police arrived on the scene to treat the passengers of the train for various ailments including respiratory injured German paper Bild reports. '

I believe that is the train line that runs to Hamburg airport, which is where there was another tear gas release recently. Germany seems to be experiencing a lot of odd attacks in the last few years, if only we could find the common factors.

Germany axe attack: Seven injured at Duesseldorf train station per BBC News

This BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-39225847 requires no comment from me:

'Seven people have been injured in an axe attack at the main railway station in the western German city of Duesseldorf, police say.

The attack happened at about 21:00 local time (20:00 GMT) on Thursday.

One man has been arrested. The 36-year-old suspect from the former Yugoslavia suffers from psychological problems, Duesseldorf police said.

They said the assailant "attacked people at random". No fatalities have been reported.

One person was injured seriously, and the attacker was also badly injured after jumping from a bridge while trying to escape, police said.

He is being treated in a hospital.

...

The motive for the attack is unclear, and police are not describing it as being related to terrorism.

German federal police earlier tweeted a warning to the public not to engage in speculation.'

The budget's National Insurance change

I must admit that even I thought that this government had broken an election promise for no reason. I still think that it was a bloody stupid thing to do but at least I know the reasoning now. Of course the reasons weren't made clear by the BBC, instead I had to rely upon biasedbbc.org who quoted the Chancellor of the Exchequer's speech:

'An employee earning £32,000 will incur between him and his employer £6,170 of National Insurance Contributions. A self-employed person earning the equivalent amount will pay just £2,300 – significantly less than half as much.

Historically, the differences in NICs between those in employment and the self-employed reflected differences in state pensions and contributory welfare benefits.

But with the introduction of the new state pension, these differences have been very substantially reduced.

Since 2016 self-employed workers now build up the same entitlement to the state pension as employees, a big pension boost to the self-employed.

The most significant remaining area of difference is in relation to parental benefits, and I can announce today that we will consult in the summer on options to address the disparities in this area as the FSB and others have proposed.

Mr Deputy Speaker, The difference in National Insurance Contributions is no longer justified by the difference in benefits entitlement. The abolition of Class 2 NICs for self-employed people, announced by my predecessor in 2016 and due to take effect in 2018, would further increase the gap between employment and self-employment….from April 2018, when the Class 2 NIC is abolished, the main rate of Class 4 NICs for the self-employed will increase by 1% to 10%, with a further 1% increase in April 2019.

The combination of the abolition of Class 2 and the Class 4 increases I have announced today, raises a net £145m a year for our public services by 2021-22,an average of around 60p a week per self-employed person in this country.'

The reasons are logical and it's interesting that the BBC happily push the government to increase benefits for people without considering how they will be paid for, just like the Labour Party that they act as the propaganda arm of.

However from a presentational point of view and indeed from a tactical position, this was a very clumsy announcement. It's almost as though this Conservative government want to once again be portrayed as 'the nasty party'.

Labour 'confident' Jeremy Corbyn paid right amount of tax per BBC News

This BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-39175570 has already disappeared from the BBC News home page, the BBC do try to protect Labour politicians as much as possible.

What struck me was the Labour Party defence, quoted by the BBC.

'Labour has said it is "confident" that Jeremy Corbyn has paid the correct amount of tax.'

A tax return isn't just about the tax paid being correct, it's also about the correct recording of information.

'The party's leader published his tax return as part of a call for transparency from politicians.

The return appeared to show his salary as an MP, plus pension payments, but not the money he is entitled to as leader of the opposition.

However, the party said the allowance of £27,192 was included under the pension and benefits income.'

Why was a salary included under pension and benefits income? If this was a Conservative politician the BBC would be headlining the story and explaining the problems with the tax return.

Security services 'prevented 13 UK terror attacks since 2013' per BBC News

Who are the Palestinians?

Zuheir Mohsen, leader of the Palestinian Arab terror group As Saiqa, famously told a journalist in 1977:

The Palestinian people does not exist.

The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity.

In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese.

Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism.

Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem.

However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan".

Oddly I've never heard this mentioned on the institutionally anti Israel BBC.

Uber loses legal test case over language per BBC News - the oh FFS comment

This BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-39154428 on Uber losing their case for drivers not to have to speak and understand a reasonable level of English contains a fantastic defence by Uber:

'Tom de la Mare QC, for Uber and the drivers, told the judge that the language requirement would result in 70,000 applicants failing to obtain a licence over three years.

The proposals would have a disproportionate impact on drivers from countries where English was not generally spoken and give rise to "indirect discrimination on grounds of race and nationality".'

Oh FFS, if that defence had worked then I would literally have despaired for this country.

Being able to speak English should be a prerequisite for most jobs in the UK, certainly customer facing ones. It would be wrong if it was found discriminatory, directly or indirectly, to require this.

If this news was aboiut was Israel killing Muslim Arabs this would be headline news on the BBC

If this news was about was Israel killing Muslim Arabs or Christians this would be headline news on the BBC but as it's about Muslims killing Christians the BBC aren't interested.

Reuters report:

'Christian families and students fled Egypt's North Sinai province in droves on Friday after Islamic State killed the seventh member of their community in just three weeks.

A Reuters reporter saw 25 families gathered with their belongings in the Suez Canal city of Ismailia's Evangelical Church and church officials said 100 families, out of around 160 in North Sinai, were fleeing. More than 200 students studying in Arish, the province's capital, have also left.

Seven Christians have been killed in Arish between Jan. 30 and Thursday. Islamic State, which is waging an insurgency there, claimed responsibility for the killings, five of which were shootings. One man was beheaded and another set on fire.'
As this news doesn't fit the BBC narrative it won't be reported by the BBC. If Israel can't be blamed  then the institutionally anti-Israel just isn't interested.

Orthodox Jew told by Lib Dem candidate he’s unsuitable for Manchester mayoralty because of his religious beliefs per Campaign Against Antisemitism

If this story is accurate then I am disgusted. Disgusted but not surprised, I don't think there's any anti Semitic comment by a Labour Party or Lib Dem member that would surprise me any more.

'The Liberal Democrat candididate for Mayor of Greater Manchester, Councillor Jane Brophy, has made an extraordinary attack on UK Independence Party (UKIP) candidate and orthodox Jew, Shneur Odze, saying he is unsuitable to stand for Mayor because of his religious beliefs.

Councillor Brophy made this outrageous slur which was captured on video at an LGBT campaign event that Mr Odze was unable to attend due it being held on the Sabbath. She stated that he was unsuitable to be a candidate because of his religious belief of not having physical contact with women. It is also disturbing that her comments received applause from some in the audience.

Mr Odze responded to the apalling smear in a statement posted on social media: "I find it shocking and ignorant for Councillor Brophy to have made these comments. This is not just an attack on myself personally; she is effectively saying no orthodox Jew can stand for public office anywhere."

Campaign Against Antisemitism calls on the leadership of the Liberal Democats, a party that prides itself on being open, inclusive and tolerant, to immediately discipline and repudiate Councillor Brophy for her comments and apologise to the orthodox Jewish community for their candidate's inference that orthodox Jews are not fit for public office.'

Taken from here https://antisemitism.uk/orthodox-jew-told-by-lib-dem-candidate-hes-unsuitable-for-manchester-mayoralty-because-of-his-religious-beliefs/

Please let me know if the claim is untrue.

Labour's by election blues

Yesterday the political junkies at Political Betting http://politicalbetting.com/ gave the result at the last council elections of the seats who were holding by elections.

Here's one:

'Kersal on Salford (Lab defence, death of sitting member)...
Result of ward at last election (2015): Labour 2,110 (49%), Conservative 1,872 (43%), Green Party 250 (6%), Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition 89 (2%)
CandidatesEstimate: Labour HOLD (Lab 44%, Con 38%, Lib Dem 10%, Ind 5%, Green 3%)'

So a long time Labour seat predicted to stay Labour.

In fact the result was:
CON: 42.0%LAB: 27.3%IND: 17.5%UKIP: 9.0%GRN: 2.4%LDEM: 1.9%

A quite incredible Conservative gain, an almost inexplicable one?

Maybe not: Kersal has a very large Jewish population, probably over a third of the seat. Even usually Labour voting Jews can see what's happened to the Labour Party in the last 20 years or so, and accelerated under Jeremy 'friends in Hamas' Corbyn.

Unfortunately there are probably no more than half a dozen council seats with a Jewish population of more than a third in the country, there's hundreds with a Muslim majority. So I doubt that this result will cause the Labour Party more than a momentary concern, they've more to gain by pandering to Muslims than standing up for Jews.

If Labour had taken a Conservative seat on such a swing the BBC would be cheerleading the result but as it's the other way around there's no mention that I can find on the BBC website.

Sessions steps aside from Russia probe per BBC News

The BBC are exultant http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-39148114

'US Attorney General Jeff Sessions has removed himself from an FBI investigation into alleged Russian interference in the US election.

Calls for his recusal mounted after revelations that he met Russia's envoy during the election, apparently contradicting his earlier statements.'

The BBC and other left of centre media have tasted blood, they will want more...

Transphobia is a hate crime in the West but not in Saudi Arabia?

Transphobia hjas been fingered as a huge hate crime problem in the West at the moment, cheer lead by the priests of political correctness - the BBC. Objecting to men who identify as women using the ladies at a public facility is a hate crime and the BBC will report every infraction BUT this sort of story is of no interest to the BBC because it hapened in a Muslim majority land.

Apparently:
'Two transgender Pakistanis were reportedly packed into sacks and thrashed to death with sticks by police in Saudi Arabia.

The pair from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan, were arrested in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for cross-dressing in public.

It is a punishable offence in the kingdom for a man to imitate a woman and officers arrested 35 people in a raid on a guest house.

...

While 11 were released later after paying a fine of 150,000 riyals (£32,000), 22 are still in police custody, Naseem added.

'The suffering ended for these two after being physically tortured, however, the rest are still languishing in Saudi jails.

'No one is there to save them as the life of a transgender is not of any value to anyone, not even for our own government.' '
It seems that when the BBC's pro-transgenderism comes into conflict with its pro-Islam obsession, it's Islam that wins.

Does the BBC coverage reflect even that support for President Donald Trump?

In amongst this snide BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-39123474 on President Donald Trump's address to Congress is this sentence:

'His popularity, however, has hit a historic low for modern presidents after a month in office - just 44% of Americans think he is doing a good job, according to RealClearPolitics.'

What percentage of BBC interviewees in America are from the 44% that support President Donald? I'd hazard an estimate of somewhat less than 44%.

What percentage of BBC 'journalists' are supporters of President Donald Trump's views? I'd hazard an estimate of closer to 0% than 44%, in fact 0% would be my guess.

But the BBC is famed for its lack of any bias in its reporting!
