What will Google's April Fool be this year?

Last year it was Google Nose...

This year... Watch this space!

Can you hear the gritted teeth?

Poor Robert Peston is forced to admit that:
'This leads to two stupidly obvious thoughts.

First, it would be wrong to characterise the recovery as debt-fuelled.

Second, with austerity rolling relentlessly on this year, and GDP at market prices likely to keep rising faster than private sector debts, 2014 should be a year in which the overall leverage or indebtedness of the British economy falls pretty sharply.'
Poor Robert Peston, having to report some good economic news with the Conservatives in government.Never mind, I'm sure he and the Labour party will have a new line of attack shortly.

A piece of surprising polling data

The excellent Political Betting website reports

The chart(s) ...based on the finding new form of questioning which has just been tested by Opinium for its latest Observer poll.

After the main voting intention question the firm asked “You said that you would vote [Party] if an election were held tomorrow. Would you say that this is because you’d want to vote for [Party] or because you’d want to vote against someone else?”

For those who indicated that there choice was wholly or partly negative this was followed by a second question “You said that you’d vote [Party] mainly/partly to vote against someone else. Who would you want to vote against?”
Hree are the charts and they are fascinating as well as surprising...

So, proportionally, more Conservative voters are voting for a party rather than against a party, and the proportion of UKIP voters voting as a protest vote is no higher than Labour or Lib Dem voters!

BBC News - Gordon Brown: Create Pakistan child marriage-free zones

The BBC manage to report the news that 'Former prime minister Gordon Brown has announced that "child marriage-free zones" are to be set up in Pakistan.' without mentioning why there is child marriage in Pakistan.

For a moment I thought that the BBC had mentioned Islam but that was only in the name of the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.

More biased BBC reporting here and indeed all over the BBC.

BBC News - Turkey downs Syria military jet 'in airspace violation'

It's incredible that the BBC manage to report this whole story without referring to the allegations of false flag operations that even I blogged about yesterday.

Are the BBC incompetent or just trying to protect one of their anti Israel heroes? BBC article is here.

My brain is officially boggled as Michael Gove breaks (pun intended) into the Wham Rap!

Not cool Michael and mannah from heaven for your enemies in the Labour party and the BBC. I expect The News Quiz and Have I Got New For You are already licking their lips in anticipation of repeating this as often as they repeated John Redwood's failure to sing along with the Welsh National Anthem.

Hamas: We Must Slaughter the Jews - Israel Today

There are idiots on Twitter who claim that Hamas doesn't really want to destroy Israel AND kill all Jews. It's just rhetoric they tell me. Hmmm what about this?
' Hamas member of the Palestinian parliament said in a recent televised address that Palestinian Muslims must either subdue or massacre the Jews, and that genuine, long-lasting peace with the infidels is not achievable.Speaking on Hamas’ Al Aqsa TV, MP Yunis Al-Astal explained that in the Quran, Allah taught the Muslims that “they [the Jews] are the ones with whom you made a covenant, but they break their covenant every time.”Seeking a solution to this conundrum, Al-Astal continued his reading of the Muslim scriptures, pointing out that Allah commanded his followers that should they “gain mastery over them [the Jews] in a war, use them to disperse those who follow them that they may remember.”'

Here Is The YouTube "Start A False Flag War With Syria" Leaked Recording That Erdogan Wanted Banned per Zero Hedge

The reason for Turkey's Erdogan banning Twitter and then You Tube has been explained and it's staggering...
'To summarize: a recording confirming a NATO-member country planned a false-flag war with Syria (where have we seen that before?) and all the Prime Minister has to say is the leak was "immoral."'

I'm assuming that Erdogan will now either just blame Israel or maybe start with some anti Israel rhetoric.

Anti Semitic attack in France

'"They started to curse me out: ‘dirty Jew,’ ‘death to the Jews,’ ‘son of a b***,’ etc. Then they started to beat me up,” David says in a clip before breaking down in tears. “I was hit on my face, I got my nose fractured… And then one of them took something out of his pocket, I thought it was a knife… It was a marker… And this is what they did to me (showing his chest), a swastika as they were screaming ‘dirty Jew.’ ”David then shows the Nazi symbol drawn on his bare chest by the attackers. When members of the public started coming close to the scene of the attack, the assailants ran away and yelled “we are not finished, we’ll get back to you!!” he said.'

Max Clifford's penis (NSFW)

I never thought that I'd write a piece with that heading!

Max Clifford's trial was previously told that women had claimed that Max Clifford had claimed to have only a 'tiny' penis.

Today I read that '"His doctor has recently measured his penis. "When flaccid, it is five and a quarter inches long - certainly not freakishly small, certainly not enormous"

Five and a quarter inches flaccid? Wikipedia (don't visit this page if pictures of penises would upset you) reveals that:
'One study found the mean flaccid penis length to be 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) (measured by staff).[5] A review of several studies found average flaccid length to be 9–10 cm (3.5–3.9 in).[9] Length of the flaccid penis does not necessarily correspond to length of the erect penis; some smaller flaccid penises grow much longer, while some larger flaccid penises grow comparatively less.[10]'
Sounds like Max Clifford's penis is by no means 'tiny', in fact it could be rather larger than normal.

The Washington mudslide - who's to blame?

Earlier today I posted this piece and promised to reveal who's to blame for the deaths and destruction...

Please note that that is Anjem Choudary's view, not mine.

I have asked Anjem Choudary this

I have not had a response from Anjem Choudary.

Barack Obama foreign affairs Genius?

Somehow I doubt that the Obama worshipping BBC will remember this tweet.

BBC News - Washington mudslide death toll reaches 16

The disaster in Washington is getting relatively little news coverage because today's dumbed down news can usually only cope with one main story at a time.

Here's the BBC's latest report http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-26743714

I'll post later a tweet telling us who caused this disaster. You might be surprised...

Harriet Harman expressing solidarity with her former economics advisor Duncan Weldon, now BBC Newsnight's new economics editor

When I saw this tweet, and thanks to Guido Fawkes for the spot, I remembered that I had some video of Harriet Harman giving assistance to another BBC presenter...

The BBC and the Labour party - two cheeks of the same arse.

No Dogs No Blacks No Jews

The real apartheid state is Saudi Arabia. The Saudis have just refused access to their country for one of the journalists due to accompany Barack Obama to that country. That one journalist is not an Israeli, not that banning Israelis would be in any way acceptable, but he is Jewish.

Will Barack Obama take a stand on this issue? Of course not, he's got oil producing, Jihad enabling arses to kiss in Saudi Arabia and anyway it's only Jews that will be upset and why should Barack Obama care about the feelings of Jews?

'Sharia is incompatible with the fundamental principles of democracy'

That sharia is incompatible with the fundamental principles of democracy is not just my view but that of the European Court of Human Rights.

In the case of Refah Partisi v Turkey, the ECHR upheld the Turkish Constitutional Court's dissolution of The Welfare Party (Refah Partisi) for violating Turkey's principle of secularism (by calling for the re-introduction of religious law). The ECHR held "that sharia is incompatible with the fundamental principles of democracy."

The ECHR justified this by reasoning that a legal regime based on sharia would diverge from the Convention's values, "particularly with regard to its criminal law and criminal procedure, its rules on the status of women and the way it intervenes in all spheres of private and public life in accordance with religious precepts."

Yet the British establishment seem more and more intent on accomodating sharia law in the UK, why?

Labour are against hereditary privilege, well unless...

Labour are against hereditary privilege, well unless it keeps jobs in their families...

People who rely on the BBC for their news just wouldn't understand Boris's reference to 'Ed Balls' and a 'Nazi uniform'

This Telegraph article contained a quotation from Boris Johnson

(Ed) “went into his stock rant about which schools everyone used to attend, and which university clubs they belonged to (a bit much, when you consider that both he and I were at the same prestigious forcing-ground of talent that was Primrose Hill Primary School, Camden; or when you consider that Ed Balls himself was a member of an Oxford drinking club so egregious that he once appeared in Nazi uniform).”
People who rely on the BBC for their news just wouldn't understand Boris's reference to Ed Balls' Nazi uniform as the BBC have carefully protected one of their allies in the Labour Party from embarrassment. I am less protective of the nasty bully that is Ed Balls, so here he is in his Nazi uniform...

Am I being hard on the BBC?

I don't believe so, in 2011 the BBC published this article under the headline 'How common is Nazi fancy dress?' which began
'A Conservative MP has apologised after reports he attended a stag party with Nazi overtones. But just how common is Nazi fancy dress?'
No mention of Ed Balls in that article let alone a photo.

Then there was this article from 2008 which allowed Ed Balls the then Labour Education Secretary to indulge in mock outrage
'over Conservative claims that Labour had not lived up to a promise of free educational visits to Auschwitz concentration camp.

The Conservatives included the Labour pledge in a list of 26 "gimmicks" it said the government failed to deliver.'
Schools Secretary Ed Balls said: "Anyone who has seen the horrors of Auschwitz at first-hand knows what a life-changing experience it is."

He's absolutely right, so what changed in Ed Balls' life from when he dressed as a Nazi when at University?

Had Ed Balls not heard of the holocaust when at university? If he had then why did he think dressing as a Nazi was fun or appropriate? Surely someone studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Keble College Oxford, indeed going on to get a First, would have had some knowledge of the true nature of Nazism and what that uniform represents.

Aborted babies incinerated to heat UK hospitals - the NHS truly is 'the envy of the world'

'The bodies of thousands of aborted and miscarried babies were incinerated as clinical waste, with some even used to heat hospitals, an investigation has found. Ten NHS trusts have admitted burning foetal remains alongside other rubbish while two others used the bodies in ‘waste-to-energy’ plants which generate power for heat.”'
The NHS truly is 'the envy of the world'

Labour manifesto 'should include thing about killing all the rich people'

'As polls showed the Conservatives closing the gap, left-leaning think tanks told Miliband to be ‘more straightforward’ about threatening Britain’s wealthiest with firing squads.

In an open letter published in the Guardian, they said: “Go on, just do it. Everybody hates rich people, so it’ll be really popular.“

Also, promise to make all the nice things cheaper. Dead millionaires and cheap nice things. That’s how you win elections.”'
I think this is satire but with the Labour party who can tell...

That Wayne Rooney goal against West Ham this weekend

Yes it was a great long-range volley, up there with David Beckham's of a few years back, but was it any better than this volleyed goal scored against Manchester United with Peter Schmeichel in goal?

That was Matt LeTissier scoring of course.

If the goals are comparable, could you imaging Wayne Rooney or David Beckham managing anything like this in the 'numbers round' on TV's Countdown?

Le God rules on the pitch and in the Countdown studio!

But why is England the only place to 'escape' to?

This BBC piece shows the desperate lengths that people will go to in order to get to the UK. Whilst the article tells us that:
'Immigration Minister James Brokenshire said there had been an "increase" in people trying to get into the UK through the channel ports.

This was mainly due to conflict in the Middle East and North Africa, he explained.'
It does seem odd that these people are desperately trying to get to the UK (for which you can read England or most likely London) not from Syria or Egypt or 'Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Eritrea' but from France. They've already escaped from civil war, persecution etc. but for some reason '"This country is not good to live in, we have to go to England."'

What is is so bad about France and so good about England? Is it the benefits system? Don't expect the BBC to ask those types of questions, that would be against the narrative.

In Paris: Muslims screaming "Death to the Jews" break Jewish teacher's nose, draw swastika on his chest

The rise of virulent & violent anti Semitism in France is real and not surprising when you see the huge increase in Islamism in parts of France.
What I found interesting in that report were the comments of the French Interior Minister, Manuel Valley, who called anti-Zionism “an invitation to anti-Semitism.”

He was speaking at a rally in Paris commemorating the four Jews murdered in Toulouse.

This comment is something that the individuals who infest Twitter whilst claiming to be anti Zionist not anti Semitic should be made to read over & over until they get it. The Twitter handles @DD1958 @wotsit4 @jtvdknoppen @AjustEgg come to mind.

The one hundred and eighty eighth weekly "No shit, Sherlock" award - Gordon Brown

The Mail seemed shocked to discover that Gordon Brown is a little inconsistent in his views.

He once described Gazza’s wonder goal against the Scots at Wembley as one of his favourite footballing memories.

But Gordon Brown, who no longer courts the English vote, has now spoken of his heartbreak at watching Gary McAllister’s botched penalty for Scotland in that famous Euro ’96 match.

In a plea to Scots to vote against independence in September’s referendum, the former Prime Minister said he ‘yields to no-one’ in his love of Scotland.

He spoke fondly of his trips with the Tartan Army to Wembley, Spain, Italy and France and recalled Jim Baxter’s skills against then-world champions England in an historic 3-2 victory for the Scots in 1967.

Mr Brown also said he was as ‘humiliated’ as any Scot with the rugby team’s massacre at the hands of the Welsh in last weekend’s Six Nations match.

'The only comfort is that we were beaten by Wales, and not England,' he said.

His comments, made at an event in Perth where Labour is holding its annual Scottish conference, are a far cry from previous attempts to woo English sports fans when he was Chancellor and Prime Minister.

In the run-up to the 2006 World Cup, Mr Brown said: 'Two-thirds of all Scots want England to win, and I’m certainly one of them.

'[I have been to] lots of England matches, but the most memorable were the Euro 96 game against Scotland, with Gazza's great goal, and the 0-0 game in Rome the following year when England held on to qualify for France 98.'

...

Mr Brown said: 'I yield to no one in my patriotic pride in being a Scot. I was there when Gary McAllister missed the penalty.'

A politician, a Labour politician at that, changes his tune depending upon the audience and his immediate needs? "No shit, Sherlock"

Islamic law is adopted by British legal chiefs (part 2)

More from that Telegraph article...
'The male heirs in most cases receive double the amount inherited by a female heir of the same class,” the guidance says. “Non-Muslims may not inherit at all, and only Muslim marriages are recognised.'
Imaging that any other type of will discriminated on the grounds of sex or religion? The screams of protest from the 'liberal' left would be deafening. But as this is Islamic law, not a word of complaint, just dhimmified submission.

Islamic law is adopted by British legal chiefs

Britain is finished.
'Islamic law is to be effectively enshrined in the British legal system for the first time under guidelines for solicitors on drawing up “Sharia compliant” wills.

Under ground-breaking guidance, produced by The Law Society, High Street solicitors will be able to write Islamic wills that deny women an equal share of inheritances and exclude unbelievers altogether.'

I'm sure Anjem Chaudary and the BBC will be cheering this news. I'll be looking for how to leave dhimmified Britain.

Reporting Israel's reaction first

The BBC report thus:
'Israel attacks Syrian army sites after Golan bombing

Israel says it has attacked several Syrian military sites in retaliation for a bombing that wounded four of its troops in the occupied Golan Heights.

Among the targets were a headquarters, a training facility and artillery batteries, the Israeli military said.

The Syrian army had "aided and abetted" the attack on a patrol near the ceasefire line on Tuesday, it added.

There has been no comment yet on the air strikes from Syria and it is not clear if there were any casualties.'
So far as I am aware the BBC did not report the Syrian shelling of Israeli military sites until the Israelis retaliated. I suppose if your anti-Israel rather than an unbiased news organisation why would you?

Very interesting news re BBC anti-Israel bias

The excellent Is The BBC Biased has a very interesting piece that I have taken the liberty of quoting in full below. The BBC's anti-Israel bias is clear to anyone who follows their coverage and their hiding of the Balen Report speaks volumes for what was discovered by Mr Balen.

Failure to observe due impartiality

“The BBC’s news division is on course for another row with the corporation’s internal watchdog about its coverage of Israel. The BBC Trust has upheld a complaint which alleged that a five-minute report on Radio 4’s Today programme about the Six-Day War was misleading and biased, The Times has learnt. The findings, due to be published later this month, will inflame internal tensions that have lingered since the trust partially upheld several complaints about the accuracy and partiality of Jeremy Bowen, the BBC’s Middle East editor, five years ago.”
So begins an article in today’s Times(?)
The latest complaint relates to an item by Kevin Connolly aired on the Today programme in June 2011. My goodness, that’s a long time ago. I wonder what has been happening to this complaint in the meantime? Oh. It seems it had been bobbing about within the internal complaints process, which “had dragged on for two and a half years”
The complainant alleged. 1.) that the impression given was that “Israel had occupied land three times its original size as a result of the 1967 war, when it had given back 90% of the land captured in 1967 back to Egypt” and 2.) the misleading impression was given that “Israel was not willing to trade land for peace, when it had reached peace deals with Jordan and Egypt that had included transfers of conquered territory”
"The Trust found that the Today report had been inaccurate on both points, and that the complaints should be upheld."
“Consequently, there had been a failure to observe due impartiality.”
The Times observes that the publication of the Trust’s findings on March 25th is likely to lead to outrage  among the corporation’s journalists.  The Times also sees fit to reference Jeremy Bowen’s protestations in the Independent that we mentioned here, and for a finale, a tidbit about the Balen report,
"which it refused to release on the grounds that it was produced as an internal editorial exercise."

“It was rumoured to have found that its coverage was anti-Israel.”

I've made a note in my diary for the 25th March as the findings will not be published with any fanfare.

What British Political Party do you side with?

I'm not sure about the questions as there are policy areas that weren't asked about and unless you opt for 'Choose another stance' the offered options are somewhat restrictive.

Israel Ranked Best Middle Eastern Country to Live in as a Woman | Jewish & Israel News Algemeiner.com

Who apart from the screaming and shouting at Israel brigade would be surprised?
'Israel was the ranked the best country in which to live as a woman in the Middle East and North Africa region, according to a 2013 report cited by The Huffington Post on Thursday.

Each year since 2006, the World Economic Forum has released its annual Global Gender Gap Report examining efforts to close the gap in four categories: economic participation and opportunity, educational attainment, health and survival and political Empowerment.

While raked first for its region, the Jewish state came in 53rd in the overall Gap Reportfor 2013, moving up three spots from its 2012 ranking.Iceland took the top spot for the fifth year and Colombia was the biggest riser, moving up 28 places to rank 35th.'

Redistribution of income

'Calls are being made for a probe into claims that members of Australia's Eritrean community are being forced to pay a so-called 'diaspora tax'. (Transcript from World News Radio)

The federal government is being urged to investigate claims that representatives of the Eritrean government are forcing members of Australia's Eritrean community to pay an income tax banned by the United Nations.'

I'm not too surprised, how many other such arrangements are in place in Western World?

Clarissa Dickson Wright R.I.P.

The excellent chef and fascinating person Clarissa Dickson Wright has passed away far too young, at the age of

Now I suppose we'll never find out why she claimed Tony Blair's nickname at the Bar back in the 1970s was Miranda. Nor what dirt she had on Peter Mandleson, Jack Straw, Cherie Blair and others.

This and some other fascinating stories are alluded to in this Telegraph piece from 2007

'I wish I could relate Clarissa Dickson Wright's gossip about "Miranda", as she claims Tony Blair was known at the Bar when they moved in similar circles, back in the 1970s. The dirt she would like to dish on him is eye-popping. Ditto Derry Irvine, Peter Mandelson, Jack Straw and Cherie Blair. "In fact, I could tell you stories about all that Cabinet," she says.
"Go on then," I challenge the remaining half of the Two Fat Ladies cooking duo, "tell me something I don't know about Gordon Brown."
She rises to the occasion with a snippet that, if true, would end the Prime Minister's career. "I heard it from an Edinburgh taxi driver," she says, putting down her embroidery to savour this moment of wickedness, so at odds with the polite surroundings of London's Goring Hotel.

Sadly, these stories are far too outrageous to print either here or in her autobiography, Spilling the Beans - so lurid, indeed, that they probably say more about her wish to shock than anything else.'
I wonder if the BBC will remember these stories in her obituary, I think I know the answer to that.

BBC reveals: 2,500 year-old Jewish text contains 'negative messages for women'

The wonderful BBC Watch reveals http://bbcwatch.org/2014/03/16/bbc-reveals-2500-year-old-jewish-text-contains-negative-messages-for-women that '... the BBC has also added some interpretations of its own to the Purim story and has made the shocking discovery that a 2,500 year-old text contains “negative messages for women”.'

I look forward to the BBC's shocked revelation of the negative messages for women that run through the Koran, but I won't hold my breath.

Council of Islamic Ideology declares women's existence anti-Islamic | Pakistan Today

I had to read this article twice in case it was a parody. Maybe it is because otherwise it's truly horrific.
'Islamabad - Sharia Correspondent: The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) concluded their 192nd meeting on Thursday with the ruling that women are un-Islamic and that their mere existence contradicted Sharia and the will of Allah. As the meeting concluded CII Chairman Maulana Muhammad Khan Shirani noted that women by existing defied the laws of nature, and to protect Islam and the Sharia women should be forced to stop existing as soon as possible. The announcement comes a couple of days after CII’s 191stmeeting where they dubbed laws related to minimum marriage age to be un-Islamic.
After declaring women to be un-Islamic, Shirani explained that there were actually two kinds of women – haraamand makrooh. “We can divide all women in the world into two distinct categories: those who are haraam and those who are makrooh. Now the difference between haraam and makrooh is that the former is categorically forbidden while the latter is really really disliked,” Shirani said.
He further went on to explain how the women around the world can ensure that they get promoted to beingmakrooh, from just being downrightharaam. “Any woman that exercises her will is haraam, absolutely haraam, and is conspiring against Islam and theUmmah, whereas those women who are totally subservient can reach the status of being makrooh. Such is the generosity of our ideology and such is the endeavour of Muslim men like us who are the true torchbearers of gender equality,” the CII chairman added.
Officials told Khabaristan Today that the council members deliberated over various historic references related to women and concluded that each woman is a source of fitna and a perpetual enemy of Islam. They also decided that by restricting them to their subordinate, bordering on slave status, the momineen and the mujahideen can ensure that Islam continues to be the religion of peace, prosperity and gender equality.
...

The CII meeting also advised the government that to protect Islam women’s right to breathe should also be taken away from them. “Whether a woman is allowed to breathe or not be left up to her husband or male guardian, and no woman under any circumstance whatsoever should be allowed to decide whether she can breathe or not,” Shirani said.'

Surely this is a joke, a parody, surely! But in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is such humour allowed or even just wise?

OK, it is a parody, the byline is the clue ' - Telling it like it almost never is.'

Does the British 'Justice' system want the Islamist terrorists to win?

Read the whole of this Mail article http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2581477/Terrorist-freed-jail-early-plotting-blow-transatlantic-planes-caught-trying-Syria.html and despair at the stupidity of the British justice system.
' A terrorist freed early from jail after plotting to blow up transatlantic planes has admitted trying to sneak out of Britain on a fake passport.

Nabeel Hussain, 30, who was convicted in 2009 for his part in a suicide mission to blow up seven passenger jets with liquid explosives disguised as soft drinks, was arrested at Stansted on  September 23 as he tried to board a plane to Turkey.'

Original sentence only 8 years, for plotting to kill over a thousand people? Mostly kuffar true but surely even non Muslims deserve to live? Then he served only half his sentence like vast majority of those sentenced. Get a grip...

US 'disturbed' by death of Chinese activist Cao Shunli

Human rights in China?
'The United States has said it is "deeply disturbed" by reports of the death of activist Cao Shunli at a hospital in Beijing.Cao's lawyers said she had died in detention after being denied medical treatment for several months. The human rights activist was arrested at Beijing airport in September, when she attempted to board a flight to Geneva to attend a UN training course. She had previously served at least two terms in prison camps for her activism.'

But still we pretend that China and Russia are civilised members of the world.

A quick question that I have not seen raised before re aircraft communication systems

In all the coverage of the 'missing' Malaysian Air 777 - Flight MH370 - people are accepting that the aircraft's communication systems were turned off in the plane, whether by one of the pilots or by a third party (or parties). What I'd like to have answered is why can theses systems be turned off from within the plane? Under what normal flying circumstances would that be necessary?

I feel dirty...

Sitting here cheering on France against Ireland in the Six Nations. I missed most of the first half, in fact whilst until I started watching France were ahead, now with 5 minutes to go Ireland are ahead... England will long rue their unnecessary late substitutions in the match against France that lost them that match and indeed cost them points today as well.

French try!!!!   No, forward pass?  Aagh but right call.

So tense...

Ireland win, and Ireland win the 6 Nations. If only England had not blown it against the French and also not brought Tuilagi on for Burrell rather than May. Surely more power was required...

Oh well, great tournament, I'll post my team of the tournament tomorrow.

BBC3's Free Speech denies censoring debate about being gay and Muslim | Economy | The Guardian

Free Speech? Not when the BBC behave like cowardly dhimmis in the face of Islamic intolerance.

For the BBC, Islam is top of the tree for protection, even outranking homosexuals.

Open letter to the Presbyterian Church USA from an Iraqi Jew

For the idiots and liars who say that Jews and Muslims used to live together peacefully before Israel was recreated.

Not that the anti-Semites, including those that pretend to just be anti-Zionists, will take any notice of such inconveniences as facts.

Catching a yawn is linked to age, study shows

Finally proof that I'm still young, as the BBC report that
'People are less likely to yawn when others do as they get older, a study has found.'
I'm young! Because I started yawning just reading this report, for once I'm not bring sarcastic...

Missing Malaysia Airlines flight systems disabled

The BBC are reporting that which many people had suspected for a while that foul play may account for the disappearance of flight MH370. I wonder who might be too blame...
' The communications systems of missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 were deliberately disabled, Malaysia's Prime Minister Najib Razak has said. The new evidence, based on satellite and radar tracking of the plane, is "consistent with the deliberate action of someone on the plane", he said.
The investigation is "now entering a new phase", he said, focusing on the crew and passengers on board.Flight MH370 disappeared a week ago with 239 people on board.'

I think we know where this is heading...

The BBC are utterly shameless

I hear that the BBC have replaced Stephanie Flanders, former girlfriend of both Labour leader Ed Miliband and Labour's Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls, with the TUC’s senior economist Duncan Weldon. He previously worked for the labour party, was a Labour candidate in 2010, has written for several Labour blogs (including LabourList and Owen Jones and UNITE's CLASS think tank.

How can anyone think it right that such a person be appointed as the economics expert on the BBC's flagship news and current affairs programme at any time, let alone just over a year before a general election?

Have the BBC heard of unbiased reporting or do they not feel they even need to pretend to be unbiased anymore?

Will the Conservatives do anything other than quietly express disquiet? I doubt it, they are too scared of the BBC's reach and power. The BBC is out of control, for some time it has not been an unbiased news reporting organisation but an organisation campaigning for left-wing causes. Increasingly it now functions as the propaganda arm of the Labour Party in the UK, the Democrats in the USA and radical Islam around the globe.

Update: I learn that Duncan Weldon was also the economic adviser to Harriet Harman when she was acting leader of the Labour Party.

Oh come off it, seriously BBC?

The left don't want cleaned up electoral rolls, they want nice fat electoral rolls, so long as they are fat with left wing voters

American Thinker has this story from Florida but I'm sure similar would be found all over the UK. I'd link to think that central governmnet in the UK would not be as anti-truth but when we next get a Labour government I may be proved wrong.

WBBH TV in Ft. Myers, Florida has performed a public service with its investigative reporting documenting non-US citizens voting regularly in local elections.  The segment can be seen below, but Judicial Watch summarizes it:
The segment focused on Lee County, which has a population of about 620,000 and Collier County with a population of around 322,000. The reporter spent about two months digging around the voter rolls in the two counties and the discoveries are dumbfounding.
In that short time, more than 100 people registered to vote in those two areas were proven to be ineligible by the reporter. A Cape Coral woman, eligible to vote in elections, was tracked down through jury excusal forms that verify she’s not a U.S. citizen. A Naples woman, who is not a U.S. citizen either, voted six times in 11 years without being detected by authorities. A Jamaican man is also registered to vote though he’s not eligible. The reporter obtained his 2007 voter registration form, which shows the Jamaican man claims to be a U.S. citizen. Problem is, no one bothers checking to see if applicants are being truthful.
Incredibly, election supervisors confirmed on camera that there’s no way for them to verify the citizenship of people who register to vote. The only way to detect fraud is if the county offices that oversee elections receive a tip, they say, and only then can they follow up.

But Gov. Rick Scot has launched a program to purge ineligible voters form the rolls, only to be sued: Judicial Watch notes:
The Department of Justice (DOJ) was quick to sue the state to stop the purging because the agency claims it discriminates against minorities. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) has colluded with the DOJ in Florida and the head of the group’s local chapter says purging voter rolls disproportionately affects the state’s most vulnerable groups, namely minorities.
Kudos to WBBH and Judicial Watch for exposing this fraud and government encouragement of it in the most important swing state in presidential elections.

One of Tony Benn's views that the pro-EU BBC won't be repeating

Tony Benn hits out at unelected EU officials, something the BBC will not allow to be heard if they can help it.

What is the best number?

Today is the 73rd day of this year.

Big Bang Theory fans will guess what's coming.

Sheldon: What is the best number? By the way, there's only one correct answer.

Raj: 5,318,008?

Sheldon: Wrong! The best number is 73. [Short silence] You're probably wondering why.

Leonard & Howard: No no, we're good.

Sheldon: 73, is the 21st prime number, its mirror 37 is the 12th and its mirror 21 is the product of multiplying, hang on to your hats, 7 and 3. Did I lie?

Leonard: We did it! 73 is the... Chuck Norris of numbers!

Sheldon: Chuck Norris wishes! In binary, 73 is a palindrome, 1001001, which backwards is 1001001, exactly the same. All Chuck Norris gets you backwards is Sirron Kcuhc!

Raj: Just for the record, when you enter 5,318,008 in a calculator, upside down it spells BOOBIES!
Posted on the 73rd minute of the 73rd day of 2014.

The 73rd day of the year is also Pi Day in the USA - 3.14 - Geek heaven!

Ed Balls 'daunted' by chancellor task - but the BBC will do their best to ensure that Ed Balls is in that position

The BBC report that:
'Ed Balls has told me that he is "daunted" at the prospect of becoming Chancellor of the Exchequer, given the scale of cuts a future Labour government may have to make.'
There follows a list of the key points that were discussed, unsurprisingly the matter of the last Labour government's overspending from 2003 not 2008 as Ed Balls and other Labour ministers have decided to claim was the case.

Here are the facts, I wonder if the BBC's Nick Robinson is aware of them, or does he prefer to take Ed Balls line?

Maybe the British public aren't as stupid as the BBC would like them to be as the latest IPSOS MORI poll finds Osborne leading Balls as the " most capable potential chancellor" by 38 to 33. Personally I'm staggered it's that small a margin...

Instilling hate in children, now why should that be an 'unresolved issue'?

The BBC report that re peace between Israel and the Palestinians:
'Unresolved issues include:
  • The borders between Israel and a future Palestinian state
  • The status of Jerusalem
  • Israel's insistence that it be recognised as a Jewish state
  • The Palestinians' demand that their refugees be allowed to return to their former homes in what is now Israel
  • Security arrangements in the West Bank.'
Apparently brainwashing Palestinian children to hate Jews and to call them 'barbaric monkeys' and 'wretched pigs' is not of any relevance to preventing peace. Apparently describing the Jews as being so 'impure' that 'Jerusalem vomits from within it your (Jews) impurity' and describing Jews as 'you who are filth' is not of any relevance to the peace process.

)

When was the last time the BBC reported on the Palestinian authorities brainwashing of children to hate Jews? Why don't the BBC report such brainwashing?

Islam and child-brides

Over the last few days I have had my attention drawn to four reports of Islamic countries and child-brides.

1. The Nation in Pakistan reports:
ISLAMABAD- The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) ruled today that Pakistani laws prohibiting marriage of underage children are un-Islamic. At the end of its two-day session today, the CII said there is no minimum age of marriage according to Islam.
“Islam does not forbid marriage of young children,” the council said. “However, the consummation of marriage is only allowed when both husband and wife have reached puberty.”

2. Reuters reports from Iraq:
BAGHDAD (Reuters) – About two dozen Iraqi women demonstrated on Saturday in Baghdad against a draft law approved by the Iraqi cabinet that would permit the marriage of nine-year-old girls and automatically give child custody to fathers.
The group’s protest was on International Women’s Day and a week after the cabinet voted for the legislation, based on Shi’ite Islamic jurisprudence, allowing clergy to preside over marriages, divorces and inheritances. The draft now goes to parliament.
“On this day of women, women of Iraq are in mourning,” the protesters shouted.

“We believe that this is a crime against humanity,” said Hanaa Eduar, a prominent Iraqi human rights activist. “It would deprive a girl of her right to live a normal childhood.”
The UN’s representative to Iraq, Nickolay Mladenov, also condemned the legislation. Mladenov wrote on Twitter the bill “risks constitutionally protected rights for women and international commitment”.
The legislation goes to the heart of the divisions in Iraq since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein in 2003, as Shi’ite Islamists have come to lead the government and look to impose their religious values on society at large.
It describes girls as reaching puberty at nine, making them fit for marriage, makes the father sole guardian of his children at two and condones a husband’s right to insist on sexual intercourse with his wife whenever he wishes.
 ...

Iraq’s current personal status law enshrines women’s rights regarding marriage, inheritance, and child custody, and has often been held up as the most progressive in the Middle East.
The proposed new law’s defenders argue that the current personal status law violates sharia religious law.

3. In April 2011, the Bangladesh Mufti Fazlul Haque Amini declared that those trying to pass a law banning child marriage in that country were putting Muhammad in a bad light:
“Banning child marriage will cause challenging the marriage of the holy prophet of Islam, [putting] the moral character of the prophet into controversy and challenge... Islam permits child marriage and it will not be tolerated if any ruler will ever try to touch this issue in the name of giving more rights to women.”

4. In the Islamic Republic of Iran, Article 1041 of the Civil Code states that girls can be engaged before the age of nine, and married at nine:
“Marriage before puberty (nine full lunar years for girls) is prohibited. Marriage contracted before reaching puberty with the permission of the guardian is valid provided that the interests of the ward are duly observed.”
Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini married a ten-year-old girl when he was twenty-eight. Khomeini called marriage to a prepubescent girl “a divine blessing,” and advised the faithful to give their own daughters away accordingly: “Do your best to ensure that your daughters do not see their first blood in your house.” When he took power in Iran, he lowered the legal marriageable age of girls to nine, in accord with Muhammad’s example.

And it's that last part that explains the issue, we can turn to the influential Islamic website Islamonline.com from December 2010 which justified child marriage by invoking not only Muhammad’s example, but the Qur’an as well:
The Noble Qur’an has also mentioned the waiting period [i.e. for a divorced wife to remarry] for the wife who has not yet menstruated, saying: “And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women, if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated” [Qur"an 65:4]. Since this is not negated later, we can take from this verse that it is permissible to have sexual intercourse with a prepubescent girl. The Qur”an is not like the books of jurisprudence which mention what the implications of things are, even if they are prohibited. It is true that the prophet entered into a marriage contract with A’isha when she was six years old, however he did not have sex with her until she was nine years old, according to al-Bukhari.

Islam and child-brides, for which you can read child-sex, is allowed, indeed encouraged because it's following the Islamic Prophet Muhammed's example:
“The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death)” (Bukhari 7.62.88).
As, in Islam, Muhammad is the supreme example of conduct (cf. Qur’an 33:21), he is considered exemplary in even until today, so who can argue with the practice?

What shocks me is that the radical feminists who find anti-female discrimination in so much of Western society, can't seem to see it in the matter of child-brides in Islam, why?

BBC News - David Cameron to discuss Mid East peace with Blair and Abbas

Finally, albeit in the middle of this piece, the BBC get around to mentioning the Palestinian rockets fired at Israel.

' Despite Palestinian rocket attacks on Wednesday, which were followed by Israeli airstrikes, Mr Cameron is still expected to hold a video conference with young Palestinians in Gaza to discuss the humanitarian situation.'

I suppose supporters of Israel should be satisfied with such small droppings from the BBC's table.
You can read the whole piece here and wonder why the BBC summary heading for the passage I quoted above is "unbreakable". Has a BBC sub editor made a decision to show their support for the Palestinians or is it a mistake? I would complain to the BBC but what's the point?

Actually it would seem that incompetence is to blame here as the 'unbreakable' passage heading was from the article referenced  here.

Ed Balls gets away with it again

Ed Balls was on Iain Dale's LBC Radio show this afternoon. At one point Ed Balls claimed that the last Labour government only overspent because of the financial crisis etc. etc. etc. The trouble is that as I and others have pointed out time and time again, the last Labour government started spending more than the national income in 2002. The proof is here...

I don't know if Iain Dale understands simple bar charts, but maybe he should study this one before his next cosy chat with the slippery Ed Balls. Maybe he could then challenge Ed Balls' statements rather than meekly accepting them.

BBC News - Prime minister's belief in Israel 'unbreakable'

A whole BBC article about David Cameron's speech to the Israeli Parliament today, allegedly updated within the last 20 minutes, that makes absolutely no mention of today's rocket attacks from Gaza into Israel. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-26526096

The lengths that the BBC willingly go to in order to protect the Palestinian terrorists whose aims they apparently support absolutely disgust me.

Of course as soon as Israel dares to retaliate the BBC will be headlining that news.

This Dry Bones cartoon really does tell the truth...

Happy Birthday World Wide Web

The World Wide Web is 25 today, well it's 25 years since Tim Berners-Lee published his paperroposing an “information management” system. This evolved very quickly into a framework for the world wide web.

The world wide web dominated our lives so much that it's hard to remember life before 'the web'. I do, I remember showing 'the web' to a client who opined 'useless, too slow and it'll never replace paper encyclopedias and digests', I wonder what he thinks now?

The web has brought us many things, some good some bad, but on today I thought I'd show a little video that I found called First Kiss. It's film ofwhat happend when 20 people were asked to kiss for the fist time, it's rather sweet and what the web should deliver more of, and less porn and hatred.

George Galloway handed his arse on a plate

George Galloway shown up for what he is by the David Henshaw from Channel 4's Dispatches programme 'Undercover Mosque: The Return'. George Galloway loves to ridicule the interviewees with whom he disagrees but I think you'll agree that in this case he failed miserably.

You can see more about this very revealing programme here on my blog.

BBC News - Ed Miliband outlines Labour's EU referendum policy

The BBC report Ed Miliband's new EU policy and can't find a single Labour MP who disagrees with it. I wonder how hard they tried...

Apparently 'A future Labour government would call an in/out referendum on the UK's membership of the EU - but only if it was being asked to transfer more powers to Brussels, Ed Miliband has said.'

Can you recall the last time a new Conservative policy was reported without anyone opposing it being quoted? Anyone from within the Conservative party, or a Lib Dem, or even someone from the other side in the House of Commons...

But for the BBC, any policy, any speech, anything at all from the Labour leader is the truth, the only way forward.

More pro Labour propaganda here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-26538420 and indeed all over the BBC.

Do the BBC think that we've forgoten?

Read this BBC article about the 10th anniversary of the Madrid Train bombings. Do you notice what pertinent fact they have managed to omit? Yes the BBC have managed not to mention that the perpetrators were Islamist terrorists. Quite shameless in protecting their radical Islamist friends aren't they.

Treat time...

Quint: Here's to swimmin' with bow-legged women.

Quint: Poking fun at Brodyn>] Ah, the missus, Chief. If they don't like you going out, they'll love you comin' in.

"Here lies the body of Mary Lee; died at the age of a hundred and three. For fifteen years she kept her virginity; not a bad record for this vicinity."

Hooper: You were on the Indianapolis?
Brody: What happened?
Quint: Japanese submarine slammed two torpedoes into our side, Chief. We was comin' back from the island of Tinian to Leyte... just delivered the bomb. The Hiroshima bomb. Eleven hundred men went into the water. Vessel went down in twelve minutes. Didn't see the first shark for about a half an hour. Tiger. Thirteen footer. You know, you know that when you're in the water, chief? You tell by lookin' from the dorsal to the tail. Well, we didn't know. 'Cause our bomb mission had been so secret, no distress signal had been sent, huh. They didn't even list us overdue for a week. Very first light, chief. The sharks come cruisin'. So we formed ourselves into tight groups. You know it's... kinda like 'ol squares in battle like uh, you see on a calendar, like the battle of Waterloo. And the idea was, the shark goes to the nearest man and then he'd start poundin' and hollerin' and screamin' and sometimes the shark would go away. Sometimes he wouldn't go away. Sometimes that shark, he looks right into you. Right into your eyes. You know the thing about a shark, he's got... lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eye. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'. Until he bites ya and those black eyes roll over white. And then, ah then you hear that terrible high pitch screamin' and the ocean turns red and spite of all the poundin' and the hollerin' they all come in and rip you to pieces. Y'know by the end of that first dawn, lost a hundred men! I don't know how many sharks, maybe a thousand! I don't know how many men, they averaged six an hour. On Thursday mornin' chief, I bumped into a friend of mine, Herbie Robinson from Cleveland. Baseball player, Bosun's Mate. I thought he was asleep, reached over to wake him up. Bobbed up and down in the water, just like a kinda top. Up ended. Well... he'd been bitten in half below the waist. Noon the fifth day, Mr. Hooper, a Lockheed Ventura saw us, he swung in low and he saw us. He's a young pilot, a lot younger than Mr. Hooper, anyway he saw us and come in low. And three hours later a big fat PBY comes down and start to pick us up. You know that was the time I was most frightened? Waitin' for my turn. I'll never put on a lifejacket again. So, eleven hundred men went in the water, three hundred and sixteen men come out, the sharks took the rest, June the 29, 1945. Anyway, we delivered the bomb.

Could life be any better than watching Jaws on a Tuesday afternoon?

Tweet from McLaren (@McLarenF1)

McLaren (@McLarenF1) tweeted at 9:29 AM on Tue, Mar 11, 2014:
On this day in 1990 Ayrton Senna won the #USGP at #Phoenix after a feisty fight with Jean Alesi's Tyrrell. #F1 http://t.co/Q6D3KBKtsh

But why have McLaren eradicated the Marlboro logo from Senna's rear wing? Rewriting history? Just because cigarette advertising is banned in F1 now, doesn't change that it was allowed back then. Ridiculous decision.

Female vs Male Logic

Woman: Do you drink beer?
Man: Yes

Woman: How many beers a day?
Man: Usually about 3

Woman: How much do you pay per beer?
Man: $5.00 which includes a tip
(This is where it gets scary !)

Woman: And how long have you been drinking?
Man: About 20 years, I suppose

Woman: So a beer costs $5 and you have 3 beers a day which puts your spending each month at $450. In one year, it would be approximately $5400 correct?
Man: Correct

Woman: If in 1 year you spend $5400, not accounting for inflation, the past 20 years puts your spending at $108,000, correct?
Man: Correct

Woman: Do you know that if you didn't drink so much beer, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting for compound interest for the past 20 years, you could have now bought a Ferrari?

Man: Do you drink beer?
Woman: No
Man: Where's your Ferrari?

Thanks to Orbitup for the explanation.

Getting ever more interesting

CNN are reporting the following:
Tickets linked to stolen passports for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 were purchased by an Iranian man, authorities say.

At least two people on board the plane were traveling on passports stolen from an Austrian and an Italian.

According to Thai police officials, an Iranian man by the name of Kazem Ali purchased the tickets for two friends who he said wanted to return home to Europe. While Ali made the initial booking by telephone, either Ali or someone acting on his behalf paid for the tickets in cash, according to police.

Iran, possible Islamist terrorism... I expect the BBC to be all over this story!
