My plea to the left: treat Jews the same way you’d treat any other minority per Jonathan Freedland in The Guardian

'On the left, black people are usually allowed to define what's racism; women can define sexism; Muslims are trusted to define Islamophobia. But when Jews call out something as antisemitic, leftist non-Jews feel curiously entitled to tell Jews they're wrong, that they are exaggerating or lying or using it as a decoy tactic – and to then treat them to a long lecture on what anti-Jewish racism really is.

The left would call it misogynist "mansplaining" if a man talked that way to a woman. They'd be mortified if they were caught doing that to LGBT people or Muslims. But to Jews, they feel no such restraint.'

Jonathan Freedland gets very close to the truth about the left's double standards on discrimination when applied to Jews here in The Guardian and I recommend that you read the whole article, there's an extract at the top of this piece.

However there's a few important wrinkles that he has missed and I'll try and post these in a piece later this long weekend.

Press TV-Comment with Jeremy Corbyn

Jeremy Corbyn and his 'good friend' George Galloway...

Jeremy Corbyn has an odd selection of friends: George Galloway, Hamas, Hezbollah etc. etc.

Another Labour Party member with issues

'The leader of Brent Council has apologised for sharing a Facebook post which compared Israel with Islamic State.

Labour politician Muhammed Butt shared a clip which appears to show a Palestinian girl in a skirmish with an Israeli soldier, which at the bottom claimed "Israel is a terrorist state like ISIS."

When contacted by Jewish News, Muhammed Butt, who is also the Lead for Equalities at London Councils, said: "I apologise for sharing this on social media. I do not agree with these views and as Leader of Brent Council I have championed diversity, tolerance and respect for all faith communities, and will continue to do so."'

More here at the Jewish News but not on the BBC.

I do wonder why this Labour Party politician shared something with which he didn't share the view with.

Notice of arrangements for the closing of the 2016 Labour Party Conference

Could all Labour Party members please note that arrangements for the closing of the 2016 Labour Party Conference will be slightly different this year. The Red Flag will still be sung but that will be followed by the Horst Wessel Song...

Ha ha ha?
However that the Labour Party seems to be riddled with anti Semitism is no joke...

Rupa Huq defends Naz Shah

What's interesting is the way that the defence that she did this before she was an MP, albeit less than a year before is seen as an acceptable defence by Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party. I don't think they'd be so relaxed about a Conservative or UKIP MP saying something even 10 or 20 years ago when at university, but that's the hypocrisy you expect from the left.
Oddly the BBC interviewer didn't pick up Rupa Shah on her remark about just clicking on like or share. Naz Shah typed "the Jews are rallying", that seems to be the phrase that the BBC and the Labour Party are keenest to pretend was never said. So I will remind them of it at every opportunity.

Jeremy Bowen's written a book on The Six Day War

It seems that Jeremy Bowen wrote a book on the Six Day War. Reviews are as you'd expect, here's a few:

'1.0 out of 5 starsJeremy's prejudices, masquerading as history, surrounded by a false halo of "respected BBC ME correspondent".
on 30 July 2015
If you want the facts read history Professor Oren's book. Jeremy wasn't there, yet is able to quote Israeli Generals verbatim in the heat of battle. Of course if you believe, as does Jeremy, that Nasser consistent threatening to wipe out Israel since 1948, (apparently, according to Nasser himself, humiliating forced retreat from a position of great strength in 1948), his blockade of Eilat,(Suez was always closed to Israeli ships), his amassing multiple armies on Israel's Border, his joint military agreements with Syria and Jordan, a very nasty 6 months of radio propaganda towards Israel and provocation of sniping and artillery into Israel by all three countries, was nothing more than empty rhetoric. (Probably the Israelis didn't see it that way, you wonder why?). Therefore, in Jeremy's view, this was not a preemptive strike by Israel but a War of Aggression, then this book is for you, for those who want real facts, read Oren.

If you hate Israel you will love this book
on 15 July 2015
If you hate Israel you will love this book. It makes no pretence of being history, right from the first page. Why Simon and Shuster agreed to publish this re-writing of history is a mystery. Did they even read it, or did they assume it was clean because the author is a BBC correspondent? It tells a fantastic story of a mighty Israel attacking its pathetic Arab neighbours to conquer their territory, and weaves little bits of fact with very imaginative fiction. If you had no knowledge of the truth, it would be easy to believe this propagandist book is factual and, as I said, if you are looking for a justification to support your anti-Zionism this is it. I assume most of those who have reviewed the book favourably here are simply people who hate Israel and therefore love the book because it justifies their hatred, or part of the Muslim supremacist campaign against Israel who have not even read it.

Typical BBC pro-Palestinian propaganda
on 13 January 2009
Jeremy Bowen isn't known as al-Bowen around the 'net for nothing. This disgraceful book is simply an extended piece of apologia for the Arab cause. To give just two examples, Bowen dismisses Nasser's bloodthirsty threats against Israel as just Arab rhetoric. This you know how, Jeremy? By the fact that they weren't executed?

He also fulminates against Israel's bombing of an anti-aircraft position in a civilian area and hints darkly that this was a war crime. Here he has his case exactly wrong - the war crime, if any, consists in siting the gun battery there in the first place. If someone does so then the other side is quite entitled to attack it. Bowen hates Israel however and so this side of things never gets an airing.

Finally, you will struggle to find any mention of Islamofascist terrorism in this book. Bowen thinks Hamas and their ilk are freedom-fighting, peace loving victims of Israeli oppression.

A book so malignant it verges on being evil.

Profoundly tendentious
on 5 June 2007
Bowen is convinced the Arabs weren't out to destroy Israel, that the Israelis knew they would wipe the floor with their Arab antagonists. This hardly explains the Israeli chief of staff's (Rabin) nervous breakdown, or the then PM's (Ben Gurion) white hot fury with him for what he perceived as an existential danger.

Oren's book is far more extensively sourced from Arab, Hebrew, Russian documents as well as English one - and unlike Bowen evidently strives for precision and balance. The comparison between the two is highly illuminating.

Rife with anti-israel bias
on 10 January 2007
The book is superficial, derivative and rife with standard anti-Israel prejudice, namely, the portrayal of Israel as the source of the Middle-East conflict and the whitewashing of Arab-Palestinian rejection of Israel's legitimacy and decades of relentless violence against the Jewish state.

Problems With Credibility
on 22 May 2004
After Michael Oren's excellent history of the same war ("Six Days of War"), this book turned out to be a disappointment. Like so much of the reporting from the region (Bowen was a BBC journalist), it is unscholarly and superficial. One can't help suspecting that Bowen's main motivation might be something other than just an interest in history. Oren's book was highly praised so Bowen, by choosing an almost identical title, may have seen a chance to make a quick buck. But mostly he probably wanted to give his own version of events -- he is famous for his strong anti-Israel bias and his tendentious "reporting" for the BBC. Don't bother with this book; it's not a serious history. For now, Oren's book remains the definitive work on this war.'

I could carry on with the one star reviews.

I could also post some favourable reviews to make this a fair and balanced article on Jeremy Bowen's book but if he's not unbiased about Israel why should I be unbiased about him? Also I'm not a BBC employee

I do wonder what the Balen Report said about Jeremy Bowen, don't you?

Jeremy Bowen at it again

The BBC's Jeremy Bowen blocked me from following his Tweets so I was surprised to see the above one on my Twitter Feed.

'Killed', no context, it looks as though Jeremy Bowen hasn't changed whilst I was banned.

There was a part 2 tweet...

Being totally independent Jeremy Bowen then Tweeted the Israeli claims that the Palestinians reject... Didn't he? Oh he didn't, how odd.

I'd complain to the BBC but since the release of the Balen Report we know there's little point.

Maybe Jeremy Bowen could chat it all out with Jeremy Corbyn, John McDonnell and Ken Livingstone - they should have a lot of common ground re Israel.

ONE ARREST A DAY!

Jeremy Corbyn's weasel words on Naz Shah

Guido Fawkes has Jeremy Corbyn's weasel words http://order-order.com/2016/04/27/corbyn-statement-on-naz-shah/
' CORBYN STATEMENT ON NAZ SHAH

"What Naz Shah did was offensive and unacceptable. I have spoken to her and made this clear.

"These are historic social media posts made before she was a Member of Parliament.

"Naz has issued a fulsome apology. She does not hold these views and accepts she was completely wrong to have made these posts.

"The Labour Party is implacably opposed to anti-Semitism and all forms of racism."'

My comment related to 'fulsome', really?

Also if she doesn't hold these views then why did she express them? Any chance of an answer to that?

Labour's disgusting antisemitism per The Telegraph

This Telegraph article http://www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/2016/04/27/labours-disgusting-anti-semitism/ deserved wide readership. Here is the beginning of the piece:
'The word is overused, but the details of Naz Shah's Facebook postings are shocking. That anyone, in Britain in 2014, should gleefully spread material discussing the (presumably forcible) transportation of Jews from Israel is troubling enough. That the person concerned was only months later elected to the House of Commons is truly disturbing. Even today, her actions exposed to the public, the best Ms Shah can offer is that the repellent material concerned does not reflect her current view, a weasel-worded statement that all but confirms the she endorsed a quintessentially anti-Semitic position at the time.

Perhaps this story raises questions about Bradford, where Ms Shah won her seat for Labour in a bruising fight with George Galloway – himself an unpleasant demagogue who is no stranger to distasteful comments on the Middle East. What do her constituents make of the views expressed in her fateful post? Perhaps there are issues to explore relating to the British Pakistani community of which Ms Shah is a prominent member. Do all the people who live in this country accept that anti-Semitism is as unacceptable as any other racism?

But the most pressing questions are those facing Labour under Jeremy Corbyn, for this is just the latest in a string of cases to emerge under his leadership. Mr Corbyn himself is friendly towards hateful groups seeking Israel's destruction. Is it any wonder then, that his party contains and – perhaps even attracts – anti-Semites? So far, Ms Shah has lost her job as an aide to John McDonnell, the shadow chancellor, but remains a Labour member. That speaks volumes about Mr Corbyn's disgustingly inadequate response to anti-Semitism in his party. '

That the Labour Party has a problem with antisemitism is obvious. That the BBC is running cover for them is too.

9/11 and Saudi Arabia

'Twenty-eight secret pages of a report locked away in a room in the Capitol in Washington lie in the centre of a crisis between America and Saudi Arabia which threatens to have severe and widespread repercussions.

The US Congress is considering legislation which would enable the families of victims of the September 11 attacks to sue Saudi Arabia, presented by the West as its most valuable ally in the Middle East, over alleged links with al-Qaeda terrorists who carried out the attacks on New York and Washington.'

Malia Bouatti on Channel 4 News

Malia Bouatti on Channel 4 News neatly evading answering whether she has a problem with Israel's existence and oddly being able to condemn Israeli actions but not that of the Palestinians.

Look carefully, is that a smile playing across her lips as she squeezes another point past the Channel 4 interviewer?

"It's not for me to condem Palestinian violence", a good interviewer wold ask her why is was then for her to condem Israeli violence but this is Channel 4 so that wasn't going to happen.

US election 2016 and the BBC's use of language is revealing again

The start of this BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2016-36147183 uses similar language to a report from last week.

'Donald Trump has won presidential primaries in all five US states that voted on Tuesday, while Hillary Clinton triumphed in four out of five.'

Donald Trump wins all five primaries but Hillary Clinton triumphs... It's about mood setting and narrative establishing. It's about pushing the Hillary Clinton campaign. It's about BBC bias.

Naz Shah, who's she?

Whilst Naz Shah's anti-Israel comments are all over the Internet, the BBC seem to be totally ignoring the story. I can find absolutely nothing about Naz Shah on the BBC website, other than pieces from a while ago that boost her...

So the BBC are happy to highlight alleged smears against Naz Shah whilst ignoring her support for comments that argued the “solution” to the Israel-Palestine conflict is to “relocate Israel into the United States”, claiming the “transportation costs” of deporting Israelis would be “less than 3 years of defense spending”. Do I smell hypocrisy and a desperation at the BBC to keep signs of possible anti-Semitism in the Labour Party under wraps with the local elections less than two weeks away?

Naz Shah is still a Labour MP, she's still on a Home Affairs Committee that is investigating anti-semitism but I read that she's resigned from her role as the Shadow Chancellor's PPS. I wonder when or if the BBC will cover this news story.

If a Conservative MP had been discovered making derogatory comments about Muslims or another (BBC) favoured minority group the story would be a headline topic on the BBC but as this is a Labour MP, a Muslim woman Labour MP in fact, and she was only agreeing with ethnically cleansing Israel then there's just no interest in reporting the story.

The BBC disgust me...

UPDATE:
The BBC have posted a piece about Naz Shah   and it's the mealy mouthed one that you would expect. The BBC report doesn't include the referred to graphic or any of the accompanying tweets, Guido Fawkes managed to show these graphics, maybe the BBC want to keep the article as dry as possible and of course to hide it away on the politics page not on the main news page.

This line from the BBC report is of interest:
'In a statement, Ms Shah said: "This post from two years ago was made before I was an MP, does not reflect my views and I apologise for any offence it has caused."'
So did it reflect her views then? What made her change her views between then and now? Other than being exposed by Guido Fawkes of course.

As an aside John McDonnell, the man for whom Naz Shah was a PPS, said about people who made such comments:
Out, out, out. If people express these views, full stop they’re out.. People might be able to reform their views and the rest of it. On this? I can’t see it. I’m not having it. People might say ‘I’ve changed my views’ – well, do something in another organisation.’
Did he mean it? Does Jeremy Corbyn stand by such zero tolerance attitudes towards expressions of anti-Semitism or is he happy to lead a party where holding such sentiments is tolerated?

The Obamamessiah turns people off!

Sky News report http://news.sky.com/story/1684878/sky-poll-obamas-eu-warning-counterproductive something that the Obamamessiah worshippers at the BBC just won't be able to understand.

'Barack Obama's intervention to encourage Britons to vote to stay in the EU appears to have been counterproductive, a Sky Data Snap Poll reveals.

Prior to his visit to the UK, the US President's support for Britain's EU membership appeared to be a positive for the Remain campaign.

More people were attracted to vote Remain as a result of his support than were put off (25% to 17%, with 57% saying he made no difference).

However, Mr Obama's hard-hitting intervention, in which he suggested that Britain would be sent "to the back of the queue" in negotiating trade deals with the US, appears to have turned him from an asset to a drag.

Almost one in three (29%) now say they are less likely to vote Remain as a result of the US President's support for Britain's EU membership, up 12 percentage points since last Thursday – and now a higher proportion than the 22% who say Mr Obama makes them more likely to vote Remain.

And he appears to have both put off sympathetic younger people and incurred the wrath of sceptical older people.'

Dear oh dear... But at the BBC it's Obama worship and pro EU sentiment all the way.

Sadiq Khan shared platform with five Islamic extremists per London Evening Standard

It doesn't matter how much the BBC cover-up for Sadiq Khan, the truth keeps creeping out. Of course by running cover for Sadiq Khan the BBC are doing their best to ensure that he is elected London Mayor in two weeks time.

Here's something that the pro Labour Party BBC won't be reporting...

'Labour's candidate for Mayor of London took part with an activist who has threatened "fire throughout the world", a supporter of terror group Hamas, a preacher who backs an Islamic state and a Muslim leader accused of advocating attacks on the Royal Navy if it stopped arms being smuggled into Gaza.

Invitations said "all welcome" but made clear that women would be segregated at the door, stating: "Ladies' entrance on Lessingham Avenue next to the snooker club."

Also on the platform was a controversial Surrey vicar and conspiracy theorist who has claimed Israel could have been responsible for the terrorist attack on New York's Twin Towers.

Mr Khan was billed on the list of speakers as Labour's parliamentary candidate for Tooting, despite his insistence that he attended "as a human rights lawyer".'

An unbiased national news broadcaster would cover stories like this but the BBC isn't unbiased.

Melanie Phillips on Sadiq Khan

'... Khan has been sustained, indulged and encouraged by the Labour party. They winked at his questionable attitudes because he belongs to what is, for many of them, an untouchable victim group. If he becomes Mayor, it will be the Labour party beyond Corbyn that is to blame.'

The BBC have played a clever game with their coverage of this London mayoral election. They've not given it as much prominence as they have to previous contests. This has enabled them to minimise the amount of reporting of criticism of their preferred candidate Sadiq Khan.

A health warning that should be given

I've noted before the terms that EU pensions are paid on, that they can be forfeit if the recipient doesn't support the EU.

Surely in the run up to the EU referendum whenever someone who is (or will be)  receiving a pension from the EU (Peter Mandelson, Neil Kinnock, Nick Clegg etc.) are asked for an opinion on the EU, in the interests of openness it should be made clear that they are (or will be) reciving an EU pension and that this pension may be forfeited if they say anything detrimental about the EU.

Indeed one could argue that in the current climate of financial transparency it would not be too onerous to mention the size of the respective pensions.

How could the UK cope outside of the EU?

How could the UK cope outside of the EU is a question sometimes posed by supporters of the REMAIN campaign.

It's a good question, after all:

The UK is the world's 5th largest economy

The UK is a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council

The UK is a member of the G7

The UK is a founder member of NATO and one of the biggest contributors to NATO

The UK is a member of the the Commonwealth of Nations

It's a mystery how the UK would cope if it left the EU.

Death on the beaches of Europe

'...  it was revealed ISIS is planning terror attacks across Europe this summer, targeting holidaying tourists by posing as ice cream and T-shirt sellers.

German media reports that ISIS is sending jihadists to pretend to sell refreshments before detonating suicide vests and bombs buried under sun loungers at Spanish, French and Italian resorts. '

An interesting choice of words by the definitely unbiased BBC re the New York primaries

As we all know the BBC are completely unbiased in their reporting. So what an odd choice of words in this article http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2016-36088637 on the New York primaries results.

'Donald Trump has won the Republican presidential primary in New York while Hillary Clinton has triumphed in the Democratic race.
...
With almost 95% of the results in, Mr Trump is leading with just over 60% of the vote while Mrs Clinton has just under 58%.'

Donald Trump 'won' whilst Hillary Clinton 'triumphed'. An interesting choice of words for an unbiased news reporting organisation. It can't be based upon vote share in their respective contests as

Donald Trump won more of the share of the Republican vote than Hillary Clinton did of the Democrat vote.

Who'd be a gay air steward?

'Air France has resumed flights to Iran after ignoring pleas gay crew who feared they could be executed.

A petition launched last week complained that it was 'inconceivable' gay cabin staff should have to travel to a country where homosexuality is illegal.

But on Sunday, the airline recommenced flights from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Tehran - the first since 2008 - having taken no action over the protest.

A week earlier female employees of the company were told they would be allowed to opt out of working on the resumed flights so that they can avoid having to wear a headscarf.

The incompetent usage of an apostrophe, should we expect any better from the leader of Her Majesty's Opposition?

The one hundred and thirteenth weekly No Shit, Sherlock award - UK 'obliged' to accept judgments of European courts, official document from ministers ahead of EU referendum reveals

'Britain is "obliged" to accept European Union laws and judgments, according to an official report slipped out by ministers ahead of the formal start of the referendum campaign.

The 96-page paper, which was published without fanfare, was described by Brexit campaigners as the "Government report No.10 does not want you to read".

The document highlights the fact that Britain has to adopt EU law and accept the rulings of the European Court of Justice.'

Jeremy Corbyn accused of 'rewriting history' after deleting hundreds of articles and speeches from his website per Telegraph

'Jeremy Corbyn has been accused of "rewriting history" after deleting hundreds of outspoken articles and speeches from his website including a number of pieces critical of the EU.

One of the articles sets out the Labour leader's true feelings on the European Union in a damning attack about the influence the bloc has over the British Government.

Mr Corbyn has wiped his entire archive of writing from his personal blog meaning that none of the articles can be accessed.'
This Telegraph article http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/Jeremy_Corbyn/12184405/Jeremy-Corbyn-accused-of-rewriting-history-after-deleting-hundreds-of-outspoken-articles-and-speeches-from-his-website.html is interesting for two reasons. First because doesn't Jeremy Corbyn realise that his old articles do still exist in cyberspace but secondly because it shows his mindset, remind me who in history tried to erase facts and even people from photographs?

Also maybe someone should tell Jeremy Corbyn that George Orwell's 1984 is not an instruction manual.

News from an ex BBC 'expert' that the BBC won't be reporting

Ex BBC 'expert' Robert Preston has an interesting take on the John Whittingdale news http://www.itv.com/news/2016-04-13/tom-watson-now-labours-deputy-leader-cautioned-sunday-people-against-publishing-whittingdale-affair-story/ but as it doesn't chime with the BBC / Labour Party line I doubt that the BBC will pay it any notice.

'Tom Watson, now Labour's deputy leader, cautioned Sunday People against publishing Whittingdale-affair story'

The BBC are minimising coverage of the London mayoral election thus hoping their favoured candidate, the Labour Party one  gets elected.

The BBC are shameless in their bias and bile

Shock horror an unmarried heterosexual man has sex with an unmarried heterosexual woman. It's nearly as much of a scandal as that a man makes a modest investment and pays his tax correctly.

This isn't about reporting news, this is about the BBC promoting the Jeremy Corbyn and Tom Watson strategy of continual mud-slinging in the hope of discrediting and undermining the democratically elected Conservative government.

The BBC appear to have concluded that the David Cameron lead Conservative government are not actually going to do anything to curb them and so they have decided to use their free hand, impartiality be damned.

How reassuring, not (part 2)

'The intelligence chief made another surprising admission – that some 70 percent of refugees entering Germany did not arrive with a valid passport and have been registered based solely on the information they provided.

"I am concerned that we (the BfV) and our partner agencies may, in fact, have information about dangerous individuals saved in our databases. However, we might fail to notice that they are here because they enter with false identities," he said.'

Are we collectively insane?

How reassuring, not (part 1)

'The head of Germany's domestic intelligence agency said in an interview published Sunday that security officials had misjudged the Islamic State group's ambition to sneak terrorists into Germany under the guise of asylum seekers.

In an interview with the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, Hans-Georg Maassen, head of Germany's Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, or BfV, admitted there had been a "misjudgment" regarding the Islamist group's strategy.'

Why would a European intelligence agency think that ISIS wouldn't try to sneak terrorists into Europe amongst the 'refugees' aka economic migrants aka invaders? After all it's not as though UKIP politicians and others hadn't been warning of this.

Why so shy BBC?

The BBC's current article on the UK political fallout from the Panama data leak/theft is interesting in not just it's relentless anti-Conservative message allied with pro-Labour talking points - that is no more than I would expect from the BBC. What is more interesting is what the BBC ignore. The Mail amongst others manage to report this:

Jeremy Corbyn has been branded 'chaotic' and 'sloppy' after it emerged he failed to include thousands of pounds of income on his tax return.

Aides to the Labour leader have confirmed he was receiving a pension from his time in local government worth thousands of pounds in 2014-15.

Mr Corbyn, who turned 65 in May 2014, was also getting the state pension of around £6,000 a year.

However, neither streams of income appeared on the return he published yesterday.

Asked whether the veteran left-winger had filled out the form wrongly, his spokesman told MailOnline: 'That is between him and HM Revenue & Customs,'

Why would the BBC decide that every aspect of the tax returns of David Cameron (and other Conservative politicians)  was worthy of examination but ignore this interesting aspect of Jeremy Corbyn's? Is it because the BBC is so biased towards the Labour Party and against the Conservative Party that they have, in many areas, put aside honest news reporting in favour of campaigning for their pet causes?

Jeremy Corbyn's tax return

First we discovered that Jeremy Corbyn submitted his last tax return late, now we learn that it may have been incorrect as well.

'Jeremy Corbyn has been branded 'chaotic' and 'sloppy' after it emerged he failed to include thousands of pounds of income on his tax return.

Asked whether the veteran left-winger had filled out the form wrongly, his spokesman told MailOnline: 'That is between him and HM Revenue & Customs,''

How not to get asked back onto the BBC

After that interview James Quarmby is unlikely to be asked back by the anti Conservatives BBC.

'James Quarmby, a specialist in tax planning and wealth structuring at Stephenson Harwood, challenged on the Today programme the use of the word trust, rather than fund:
"Can you do me a big favour and not ever use the term offshore trust again in relation to this investment," he said to John Humphrys.'

Majority Of Muslim Students Think Brussels Terrorists Are 'Heroes' Say Teachers

Despite the BBC's honeyed words of reassurance, the proportion of European based Muslims who support Islamic terrorists is not necessarily tiny.

'Teachers working in the predominantly Muslim districts of Molenbeek and Schaerbeek in Brussels have reported that "90 percent of their students, 17, 18 years old" called the Islamist terrorists who attacked Paris and Brussels "heroes".

The revelation came in an article in theNew York Times, wherein Steven Erlanger spoke to a Belgian policymaker who relayed the information from Belgium.'

What have we imported from the Indian sub continent?

Police hunt on-the-run child rapist from Rochdale paedophile gang

This news story beggars belief, what was the trial judge thinking?

'A child rapist jailed for 19 years for his role in a Rochdale paedophile gang has been on the run for more than four months and is feared to have fled to Pakistan.

Choudry Ikhalaq Hussain, 38, was sentenced to imprisonment in his absence on Friday for rape, sexual activity with a child and conspiracy to rape.

But Hussain, who was part of a 10-strong child abuse ring all of whom were of Pakistani and Bangladeshi heritage, absconded during his trial last November and police believe he is now in hiding abroad.

During the trial at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court Hussain claimed a family member had died.He was given permission by the judge to attend the funeral - which he had said was due to be held in Britain.

However, Hussain never returned to court.'

Unbelievable? Actually, and worryingly, it's not.

Belgian Jihadi Carried Toxic Material Used to Infect People with Fatal illnesses like Typhoid and Cholera per Pamela Geller

Some news about the Belgian Jihadi attack that you won't learn about from the protect the reputation of Islam at all costs BBC.

' "Belgian Suspect Ameroud Said to Have Carried Potentially Toxic Material," By Laurence Norman, Wall Street Journal, April 9, 2016:

BRUSSELS—Belgian police sent an internal note around in recent days warning that a terror suspect arrested three days after the Brussels attacks was carrying material that could be used to infect people with fatal illnesses like typhoid and cholera, a police official confirmed. But prosecutors separately dismissed the threat that the material posed.

The note was earlier reported by the website of Belgian newspaper Derniere Heure earlier this week. On Saturday, the website published the communication, which the police official confirmed to The Wall Street Journal was an "official internal note."

Belgian federal prosecutors said in a statement Friday there was no threat from the material found on Abderrahmane America... '

The voice of the Palestinians that the institutionally anti Israel BBC won't report

'A former Palestinian official cited the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a forged text produced in Russia at the turn of the last century that purports to outline Jewish plans to take over the world, as proof that the world economy was controlled by Jews.

"Global Judaism, which controls the world's financial markets, constitutes a virus and a plague which strikes at the entire world," said Dr. Fouad Bseiso, the former governor of the Palestinian Monetary Authority, according to a translation provided by the Middle East Media Research Institute.'

More here http://www.timesofisrael.com/former-pa-official-global-judaism-is-a-virus-a-plague/ but certainly not on the institutionally anti Israel BBC where the Palestinians' true feelings about Jews are not to be revealed to the public lest they realise that the Palestinians are not the cuddly bunnies that the BBC like to portray them as.

The BBC's suspect fact checking

This BBC piece http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-35990076 claims to fact check the government's pro EU pamphlet. Here's an extract:

'The claim: Less than 8% of EU exports come to the UK while 44% of UK exports go to the EU.
Reality Check verdict: That's true, although looking in percentage terms makes UK trade look less important to the EU. In cash terms, the UK in 2014 exported £227bn worth of goods and services to other EU countries and imported £288bn from them, which makes the UK look like a much more important customer for the rest of the EU.'

Does that 44% include UK exports that go via Rotterdam and Hamburg, amongst other ports, on their way outside of the EU? If so, why? BBC fact checking seems a little careless.

Another Labour Party anti Semitism story

'Labour's John McDonnell in anti-Semitism row over website that has carried 'tributes to suicide bombers'

EXCLUSIVE: In 2014 Mr McDonnell linked from his own web page to a site that has carried "tributes" to suicide bombers.

Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell was today caught in his party's growing anti-Semitism storm after directing people to a website that has carried "tributes" to suicide bombers.

Labour MPs reacted with fury after learning that in 2014 Mr McDonnell linked from his own web page to the site, which once carried sympathetic articles about at least two bombers.

One of the pieces focused on a man who murdered 19 Israelis outside a nightclub.

Among other archived articles carried on the site was one posted in 2002 claiming Israel has no right to exist and should be "dismantled".

When the Standard asked the Shadow Chancellor's office for a comment, his spokesman said the link from Mr McDonnell's site would be removed immediately.

Just days ago Mr McDonnell said Labour had to "sit up and listen" to claims of anti-Semitism in the party, adding that anyone with offensive views should be banned.

A spokesman told the Standard: "John was supporting a peaceful campaign against the bombing in Gaza at the time in 2014. The campaign suggested using the link to this website in order to take part.
"He was obviously not aware of  the views this website historically expressed 10 years previously but John's office has subsequently removed the link in question immediately.

"John has a zero tolerance approach to anti-Semitism and has a record of campaigning against all forms of racism."

Mr McDonnell wrote a post on his MP website in 2014 promoting a boycott against Israeli goods but then directed readers to another website called Innovative Minds.

Among articles it has carried are one from 2001 entitled Why The Road To Paradise? An Interview With The Family Of A Martyr, about Saeed Hotary, who blew himself up outside a Tel Aviv disco, killing 19 party-goers.

The piece quotes the bomber's father saying: "The only way the Palestinians can be stronger is through these bombings. When martyrs blow themselves up, the Jews and Americans listen."

A piece thought to be from 2002 entitled A Bride In The Dress Of Martyrdom told the story of Aayaat al-Akhras, who killed two Israelis when she blew herself by a Jerusalem supermarket.

Calling the attack a "successful heroic operation", the article went on to say the bomber will "remain an example for every Palestinian woman".

A third piece from 2002 argued that "even if the Zionist State is the size of a postage stamp it has no right to exist."

Labour MP Michael Dugher said material the website previously published was "extreme and deeply offensive", adding: "The Labour Party must take anti-Semitism seriously and tackle it in the strongest possible way.

"Sadly these efforts are undermined when things like this are once again exposed."

Tory MP Sir Eric Pickles, chairman  of Conservative Friends of Israel, said the articles amounted to "tributes to suicide bombers".

By massively inflating death toll, as Sanders suggests Israel killed 'over 10,000 innocents' in Gaza, he may get the BBC's approval

The BBC have been cheerleaders for Hillary Clinton from before this Presidential campaign began. Thus they have had to be negative about Bernie Sanders although his socialist views chime more with the BBC.

With these recent comments about Israel fitting right into the BBC's views maybe he'll get a better press from the institutionally anti Israel BBC.

'Massively amplifying even Hamas's own figures, Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders suggested Israel had killed "over 10,000 innocent" Palestinian civilians in Gaza during the war there in the summer of 2014, and said the high casualties were the result of an "indiscriminate" Israeli military offensive. Hamas health authorities in Gaza put the civilian death toll at about a seventh of the figure cited by Sanders; Israel puts it lower still.'

Extremist toured UK mosques to preach jihad per The Times

More from the 'religion of peace' in The Times:

'Britain's biggest Islamic sect allowed a militant linked to al-Qaeda to tour dozens of mosques on a jihadist recruitment drive that spawned terror plots and murders.

Senior representatives of the Deobandi sect, a supposedly moderate movement that controls almost half of Britain's 1,600 mosques, hosted the extremist cleric Masood Azhar during a 30-day visit in which hundreds of young Muslims were urged to seek weapons training at terrorist camps in Pakistan.'

Islamic State - Teenage jihadis 'planned' terror attack in Brighton per Daily Express

This Daily Express article http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/657779/Islamic-State-ISIS-terror-plot-Brighton-jihadis-Syria doesn't surprise me, there's a serious problem with Islamists in the UK, Europe and the world that's only going to get worse.

Here's the headline from this report:

'BRIGHTON TERROR PLOT: Teen ISIS jihadis 'planned' gun and knife attack on seaside town
A GANG of nearly 30 young people from seaside town Brighton have been unmasked as budding jihadis who were feared to be plotting a terrorist attack.

Counter-terrorism officials identified the large group, of which roughly half are teenagers, as highly likely to flee to the Islamic State (ISIS) strongholds of Iraq and Syria.

The 28 strong gang, which includes five teenage girls who converted to Islam, were thought to be planning a terror attack in Brighton using knives or a pistol.

But it transpired five people, including three brothers, already slipped the clutches of UK security and managed to travel to war-torn Syria, joining up with Jabhat al-Nusra, an affiliate of al-Qaeda.

A further three, including one girl, have court orders preventing them from leaving for Syria. '

I predict that one of these jihadi groups will succeed in carrying out a mass murder attack in the UK this year or next and when they do the BBC will still obsess over a potential 'backlash' more than the deaths of innocent British people.

Anti-semitism at the heart of Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party per Daily Mail Online

The antisemitism that has long existed at the left of the Labour Party has become more mainstream and more overt as the Labour Party has become under the control of the left.

Guido Fawkes has exposed many of the antisemitic left, I've tweeted and blogged about some of these Labour Party members and more.

'... in the words of Jeremy Newmark, head of the Jewish Labour Movement, Corbyn's election has sparked a 'resurgence of the acceptance of anti-Semitism' in the party.

As Newmark and others see it, world views that have for years been confined to what one might call the party's 'lunatic fringe' are now, thanks to his leadership, creeping into the mainstream. One such world view revolves around unquestioning support for the Palestinian lobby, and equally intransigent opposition to Israel. As the Labour Herald showed all those years ago, it often manifests itself in knee-jerk anti-Semitism. Another revolves around the idea that a sinister group of capitalists, led by Jewish bankers, is seeking to control the world's media and economy.

To see how ugly its adherents can look in practice, one need only venture into such internet chat-rooms as the Labour Forum, a prominent, invitation-only Facebook group which has around 25,000 members.

Earlier this week, a blogger called Daniel Sugarman did just that, and within a few seconds stumbled across posts by Joanne Parkin, a Labour activist from Darlington, claiming (falsely) that the media mogul Rupert Murdoch is a 'Zionist Jew' at the centre of a sinister plot to control the media. She also called George Osborne (who is actually Anglican) a 'Zionist pig Jew'.'

If you want to see such views Twitter is another easy place so to do. My Twitter feed is infested with antisemitic scum whose views are as vile as they are unhinged.

A decent Labour Party would disassociate itself from such views rather more forcibly than it has to date. But that would require strong leadership and I fear that Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell just can't give that strong leadership against their own supporters.
