Is Jeremy Corbyn using the same definition of civilian as us?

In the past few days I have seen several times the following (or similar) form of words about Jeremy Corbyn's views on attacks on civilians in Israel and elsewhere:

"He is, of course, completely opposed to attacks on civilians."

Has anyone asked Jeremy Corbyn or the various spokesmen issuing these statements this question:

Which Israelis does Jeremy Corbyn consider 'civilians' and which does he not?

I recall reading of Islamist terrorist groups arguing that as all Israelis have to undertake National Service then they are not civilians. Further that as citizens of an occupying power they see all complicit in the occupation of Palestinian land and thus not civilians but part of the armed occupation. I wonder whether Jeremy Corbyn would agree or disagree with those sentiments.

I doubt that any BBC interviewer would dare to ask that question of Jeremy Corbyn or of his spokesmen.
