I am not a sheep, I have my own mind
I have had enough of being told what and how to think
Whilst we are still allowed the remnants of free speech,
I will speak out.
I also reserve the right to discuss less controversial matters should I feel the urge.

My heroes in 1978 - and then a stray into some other music of 1978
They were the act that finally knocked "Mull of Kintyre" off the Number One position in the UK singles charts and in 1978 that really mattered to me. Paul McCartney's music had a place in my heart but Mull of Kintyre did not. Mind you after one week Brotherhood of Man and "Figaro" replaced Althea and Donna's "Uptown top rankin'", maybe that's when I lost faith in the charts...
Whilst we are thinking about 1978's music, here's some more...
Best single of 1978...
That's The Buzzcocks with "Ever fallen in love with"
Best Beglian single of 1978, he learnt his whole act from watching the Damned you know...
That's Plastic Bertrand with "Ca plane pour moi"
Another great single from 1978...
That's The Jam with "Down in the tube station at midnight"
Now a performance that I really enjoyed in 1978, still makes me feel a bit funny now...
That was Blondie with "Denis"
and now Debbie Harry last year, not my favourite song but she's still got it at 60+
Whilst I am revisiting 1978, here's Jimmy Pursey's Sham 69 looking most ill at ease performing "If the kids are united" on a kids TV programme and an even more bemused audience....
and here is Jilted John with "Jilted John", altogether now "Gordon is a moron, Gordon is a moron"...
There was more than "punk" to 1978, here's Meatloaf with "Paradise by the dashboard light" with some great overacting by Meat and Karla...
OK back to punk...
That's Public Image with "Public Image"
Now John Peel's favourite track in his all time "Festive Fifty"...
The Undertones with "Teenage kicks", this was the promo video
Now one of my favourite songs of 1978...
Warren Zevon (may the Lord rest his soul) with "Werewolves of London"
and finally a return to reggae...
Bob Marley with "Is this love"
It's 'Mr Loaf' to you.....
