The Guardian used to be called the Manchester Guardian; today it might well be called, by fans and foes alike, the Madrassa Guardian."

That's from a newspaper that often does have a good handle on a lot of the world's problems, The Times of India, as spotted by The Spectator and brought to my attention by Mr Eugenides.
