BBC news priorities

I note that the BBC seem to have managed to keep General Anatoly Nogovitsyn's comments about Poland now being a Russian nuclear target off of their web news headlines. The BBC have of course managed to find room for " Israel 'worry' at settler attacks" -

"Israeli security officials are reported to have raised concerns about an increase in violence by Jewish settlers in the West Bank."

Is there a department at the BBC devoted to minimising stories that show Russia or any other ex-"communist" state and to denigrating the one democracy in the Middle East, or is it just second nature to the BBC?
