Katerina Thanou update

Even the BBC have to report that Katerina Thanou, the disgraced Greek sprinter who you can read more about in my earlier article, has been excluded from the Beijing Games after the International Olympic Committee refused to accredit her. Good Thanou and Keneteris behaved disgracefully in 1004 and it is to the credit of the IOC that they have acted this Olympics. Somehow I doubt that the IOC will quite as quick to react to any doping offences committed by Chinese athletes - more on this matter later.
