Justin Webb shows his prejudices and gets his just desserts

You can watch Justin Webb interview the rather impressive Carly Fiorina here. Do watch it and see Justin Webb's repetition of the lie that Sarah Palin's is a "creationist".

Justin Webb's opening question referring to "the rational side of the Republican party" shows how Justin Webb views the Republican party, as having an irrational side. I wonder if Justin Webb thinks that any part of the Democratic party might be irrational? Justin Webb then all but calls Sarah Palin a climate-change heretic, as if the science was settled - do read up on the subject Justin, rather than swallowing Al Gore's line. Also, I wonder if following Justin Webb's use of the word "rational", would he like to formally call all religious Muslims irrational for believing in creationism, or does he reserve his insults for "the west" and give the rest of the world a free ride on belief?

Carly Fiorina gives as good as she gets about the comparative experience of Barack Obama and Sarah Palin and also the sexism inherent in much of the criticism of Sarah Palin, interestingly Justin Webb does not respond.

If you want to spot your own BBC bias you might want to take a look at James "If we win the election" Naughtie's blog as well.
