No taxation without representation - close but not quite what the slogan should be today

"No taxation without representation" was one of the slogans of the British colonists in the Thirteen Colonies in the period 1763–1776 and it has seemed pertinent to the UK for a while but in a rearranged form.

The new slogan would be "No representation without taxation" as Tony Blair and Gordon Brown have between them created a Labour client state of those classified as unemployed, those classified as on incapacity benefit and those in new public sector jobs with unfunded but guaranteed final pensions who will mostly vote Labour come what may, as Labour guarantee their lifestyle.

I admit the last category is a tricky one as they do pay tax, albeit maybe less in tax than they they will eventually recover from the taxpayer in pension receipts, but should the other two categories be allowed to vote when they have no (to coin a popular Labour phrase) stake in the choice?
