Another climbdown by this failing Government

Jack Straw has backed down and dropped plans to hold secret inquests without juries. In a Commons written statement, Mr Straw said the move did not command the necessary cross-party support, despite earlier government concessions.

A victory for freedom of information and civil rights, two things that this Labour government have been no friends of.
