Desperation?

The BBC report that:

"Gordon Brown is ready to debate with David Cameron on TV not just during the general election campaign but before it, the BBC understands."

I wonder is that connected with the latest Ipsos Mori survey that puts the Conservatives on 36%, Labour on 24% and the Liberal Democrats on 25%.

Desperate times mean desperate measures; after all what has Gordon got left to lose?
