Why the House of Commons? Surely she should apologise to the people whose money she falsely claimed.

It seems that the former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith has been told to apologise in the House of Commons for breaching expenses rules and that will be an end to the matter. Leaving aside the rights and wrongs of what she did, and I believe that the Sunlight Centre are still pursuing that matter; should Jacqui Smith not apologise to the Country from outside of the House of Commons? After all it is our money she was incorrectly claiming.

How about setting up some stocks on Parliament Green so MPs can apologise to the public and the public can express their views via the medium of fruit and veg.
