It seems that just like Rover pre the 2005 election, Labour have found a British company that they can pretend to care about only to forget about in a few months time.
The real scandal here is the rewriting (by omission) of news history by the BBC. I know that '1984' parallels are a cheap shot, but this really does smack of the work if the Ministry of Truth (minitruth) in George Orwells's '1984'. As with the other Ministries in George Orwell's novel, the Ministry of Truth was a misnomer and in reality served an opposing purpose to that which its name implied, being responsible for the falsification of historical events; and yet was aptly named in a deeper sense, in that it created "truth" in the newspeak sense of the word... Falsifying news history, the BBC should be so proud; but then George Orwell did work at the BBC for a while...
