Massachusetts Senate seat election

The death of Edward "IRA Supporter" Kennedy has necessitated an election for his rock solid, safely Democrat seat. However recent opinion polls have shown that the Republican candidate, Scott Brown, has seen a recent surge in voting intentions with leads in four of the last six polls. It seems possible that a Republican could win this safe Democrat seat. Meanwhile I can find nothing about this election on the BBC news website, nothing at all. I wonder how they will cover a Republican win without reflecting badly on Barack Obama's uncriticisable record as President. The trouble with publishing only adulatory articles about Barack Obama's Presidency is that when the voters turn against him, the British people just won't understand why; I wonder if that is the BBC's intention...
