That Nick Cosgrove interview...

This morning I asked
"Did you hear it? Could you believe the standard of questioning? Is embarrassment the reason that this interview is still not available on the Today Programme website, I think every other item is. I will wait for the whole programme to appear on Listen Again and post a transcript; it'll be well worth the wait! "

Well the interview is on Listen Again and here's that question posed by Nick Cosgrove to the AA's President, Edmund King:
"The union say that AA staff have worked flat out through the worst winter conditions in 30 years only to be told by their gluttonous private equity fat cats that they want to squeeze more blood out of the stone to line their own pockets, what do you say to that?"
I know that he prefaced the question to make it seem that the question was not his but the union's but is that really appropriate language for an interview with an industrial leader? I suppose that at the socialist BBC, it is.

  1. Straight out of the "And how long have you been beating your wife" handbook for junior journalists.
