I think that might be the wrong word!

Nothing special or unusual about the story except this bit

When he and friends watched films they skipped romantic scenes because they perceived them as “not quite kosher”.'

'kosher', 'KOSHER', 'KOSHER', somehow I think that might be the wrong word to associate with a follower of Islam, maybe he meant 'halal'!
