'New computer simulations have shown how the parting of the Red Sea, as described in the Bible, could have been a phenomenon caused by strong winds.
The account in the Book of Exodus describes how the waters of the sea parted, allowing the Israelites to flee their Egyptian pursuers.
Simulations by US scientists show how the movement of wind could have opened up a land bridge at one location.
This would have enabled people to walk across exposed mud flats to safety.'
I am sure in the past I have read BBC articles eagerly explaining how some Christian miracle, I think they have done the resurrection but I am not 100%, could be explained by science. However I have no recollection of the BBC ever reporting on any scientific challenges to any tenents of Islam.
In fact of the three monotheitstic religions whilst the BBC is ready and indeed eager to challenge and find fault in Christianity & Judaism and its modern day practitioners, the BBC is somewhat less willing to pas any negative comments on the religion of islam.
I don't see your angle here. If the wind happened to blow in just the right direction and force to part the Red Sea, that would be pretty miraculous.
ReplyDeleteThen you must be either blind or stupid Alex.
ReplyDeleteThe piece is nothing to do with the 'miracle' and everything thing to do with the national Public Broadcasting Service, funded with money stolen from our pockets, continually criticising the Western, Christian standpoint but never raising a word of criticism against any left-of-centre dogma, be that socialism, gays or Islam.
Its OK to have a go at Gary Glitter, but I don't seem to recall the founder of Islam coming in for any criticism for doing the same thing (only with younger kids).
It seems its OK to teach notionally Christian kids how Muslims pray as part of their religious education (indoctrination?) but I don't seem to recall Muslim kids being taught how to celebrate Mass.
And, of course, we're now all eating Halal meat whether we like it or not.
Things are so bad that, by and large, any critical comment of Islam has to be made anonymously for fear of losing your job.
