Some Star Wars geeks have way too much time on their hands...
DVD Active takes us through the differences between different versions of Star Wars IV: A New Hope... Way too much information!
Sometimes I find that it is SCARY to be a fan of STAR WARS. No matter where I go there are always people griping about Lucas's alterations and saying that they somehow spoil the films. Now granted, I don't think ALL of his alterations are perfect, but does that take away from the entertainment value of these movies? Of course not. One could spend just as much complaining as much as they can just watching it again. I've been looking at the STAR WARS 2004 DVD set again, and while I DO notice some oddities in the restoration, I feel that their entertainment value is too strong to even quibble about them.
The prequels I'm kinda iffy about, although I DO like REVENGE OF THE SITH.
But even so, I think it's just as well that I have other things to do in my spare time than to just talk about STAR WARS ad nauseum.
