Was God sending a message?

The Telegraph reports that:

'Seville's famous Good Friday processions were cancelled for the first time since the Spanish Civil War, bringing bitter disappointment to women allowed to participate in the religious event for the first time ever.'

Hmmm, was God sending a message about allowing women to participate in this traditionally men only procession? No he wasn't but you can see why the thought arose!
