To be fair to the police

I have been criticised for some of my comments about the police giving up during last week's riots and also for showing some videos of police brutality on the streets. As I have said before such brutality did not cause the riots, greed and a lack of respect for society or fear of the consequences were more important.

Here is a video I found on YouTube that shows some of what was happening on one night last week and I find it upsetting but not surprising that so many of 'da yout' are so willing to destroy, rob and burn property.

Here are some of the most disturbing scenes to come out of the London Riots. This video gives a true representations of what emergency services, businesses and communities had to face during the London Riots of August 2011.

Please bear in mind that now the genie is out of the bottle and people know that for one night they can probably get away with this sort of action, they may be tempted to try it again... Who knows when they will try it but I am willing to bet more incidents before the end of the year?
