Are the Conservative Eurosceptics really Eurosceptics

The Boiling Frog has worked out that Conservative 'Eurosceptics' are nothing of the sort and uses a football analogy to explain why:
I have supported my team for over 25 years, in that time I’ve criticised players, managers and the board but every year I still renew my season ticket. That makes me a supporter not a sceptic. And the same is true of Tories, despite the criticism of some aspects of the EU, when that EU season ticket renewal comes up they gleefully renew. They are supporters not sceptics.
What a great explanation of the 'Eurosceptic' mindset. Should real Eurosceptics stay in the Conservative party?

    Poor analogy, because Conservatism is not defined by Euroscepticism.

    A better analogy would be Chelsea fans who think Torres is a waste of money but continue to pay his wages. Trouble is, the fans don't pay his wages (or not directly), so the analogy does not work.

    Anon: I doubt that anyone thinks that Europe does not exist, nor the Euro. Eurosceptics are sceptical of the benefits of the Euro.

    In any case Europe is not the same as the EU, although the crazy Eurofanatics would like us to believe it is.
