BBC News - Prison meat supplier suspended over non-halal meat' fears

The horror, the absolute horror...
'A meat supplier to the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has been suspended after tests found that it may have supplied Halal products to prisons which contained traces of non-Halal meat.
The products concerned, thought to be pies and pasties from a Halal-certified supplier, have been withdrawn.

Justice minister Jeremy Wright said the situation was "absolutely unacceptable". '

That will cause far more trouble than horse meat in burgers - and expect to see £s more paid out in compensation than that paid out to accidental horse meat eaters. No doubt lawyers are already sharpening their pencils to help certain inmates.
