Fascist, fascist, fascist...

Calling someone a fascist, is the go to response of the so many of the ill-educated, hatemongers of the left and one of them tried to post a link to a really nasty piece on a blog that seems to have been setup just to attack this post of mine.

I haven't posted this individual's comment because the link is to the sort of hate-filled, lies and left-wing crap that is all too prevalent on the internet. here's the comment, if you want to read the whole piece you can follow the link.

Here's one extract with my response.
'The stupid suggestion that Jordan is the real Palestine was a brain dead propaganda campaign launched by evangelical magicians and Zionists in the 1970’s. it was dead on arrival, except for some poor lost fascist orientated souls.'
Hmmm, On March 31, 1977, the Dutch newspaper Trouw published an interview with Palestine Liberation Organisation executive committee member Zahir Muhsein. Here's what he said:

"The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism.

For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan."

In 1965, King Hussein said: “Those organisations which seek to differentiate between Palestinians and Jordanians are traitors.” As late as 1981, Hussein repeated “Jordan is Palestine and Palestine is Jordan.”

In March 1971, The Palestine National Council, too, stated that “what links Jordan to Palestine is a national bond […] formed, since time immemorial, by history and culture. The establishment of one political entity in Transjordan and another in Palestine is illegal.”

I could fisk the rest of the article, but why bother Illan David isn't interested in facts, just spreading lies and hatred. It's not necessarily his fault though, there's a lot of this type of left-wing faux intellectual around, they seem to breed them at the lesser universities.
