Why I don't trust the UNHRC on Israel and the Palestinians

The UNHRC has a “Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights on Palestinian territories occupied since 1967” , in fact they are about to appoint a replacement for Richard Falk. That job title  implies some sort of regional jurisdiction, however the UN mandate is unique in the UN system because it focuses on only one side, Israel.

By way of contrast, violations of human rights committed by the Palestinian Authority, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and others, whether in the form of terrorism against Israelis or the oppression of fellow Palestinians are excluded from the mandate.

The UNHRC’s rules and consequences are clear: only Israel gets investigated thus only Israel gets condemned.
