News about the Obama administration that you won't find given much prominence on the BBC

The BBC pushed Barack Obama as the man to save America (Gil Scott-Heron 'B-Movie' reference intended) mostly because they wanted a black President of the USA, for their purposes the fact that Barack Obama had a white mother was irrelevant. As it became obvious that Barack Obama was no messiah, the BBC have tried to minimise coverage of any news detrimental to his reputation. Here's a piece of news that I found overnight that I predict the BBC will not be reporting.

The House of Representatives has voted to hold former IRS official Lois Lerner in contempt of Congress for refusing to answer questions about her agency's targeting of conservative and other groups. Republicans contend that the IRS, for political reasons, targeted for extra scrutiny groups seeking tax-exempt status. The IRS, the Obama administration and Democrats reject any political motivation. Lerner, who was put on administrative leave and then retired last year from the IRS, headed the unit that did the screening. So far, she has refused to testify before Congress.

Of course if you get your news mostly from the BBC TV or radio news then you won't even have heard of the IRS targeting scandal let alone of Ms Lois Lerner. The BBC news website has reported the story but very sotto voce indeed.
