Nigel Farage on Russell Brand after Question Time

'... my take on Russell Brand. The leader of the revolution. The messiah of hipster, new media. The doyen of stock statements and half-funny jokes.

Well I'll tell you what I found out tonight: the messiah has feet of clay, and the revolution is not occurring on Mr Brand's side – it's happening with UKIP, and it's happening fast."'

  1. Is that it? Is this the level which the media wants NF to present himself? FFS, this man will quite probably hold the balance of power after the next general election. From being dismissed as a 'far right party' by the BBC, UKIP is now to be included in leadership debates. Grudgingly, the media talk about, and talk to occasionally, UKIP people in the hope to ridicule them. Ok, I realise that NF himself has chosen this position, or rather has been forced into it, that was then, this is now. Two parliamentary seats, two bye election victories has finally placed UKIP to the fore. Let's see what happens come next Easter.
