Morrissey claims sex assault by security at US airport per BBC News

'British singer Morrissey has claimed he was sexually assaulted by a security officer at San Francisco International Airport, who he says "groped" him.'

Heaven knows he's miserable now...

Thou Shall Not Murder by Aussie Dave aka Israellycool

Two vile attacks by Jews in or around Israel have left me disgusted. Israellycool puts it brilliantly here http://www.israellycool.com/2015/07/31/thou-shall-not-murder/ read it all. But here's an extract:
'Less than 24 hours. 2 shocking acts of murder and attempted murder.

Seemingly perpetrated by fellow Jews.

The first: Stabbing of participants at yesterday's Jerusalem gay pride parade, by a so-called "Orthodox" Jew.

The second: The murder of a toddler in an arson attack perpetrated against a palestinian family, in an apparent "price tag attack."

I cannot not address these acts.

Both attacks had a religious element. As a religiously observant Jew, I feel compelled to speak out loudly and clearly against this desecration of G-d's name and corruption of the ideals of the Torah from where we are taught "Thou shall not murder."

There is no way it is G-d's will to have His name desecrated in commission of crimes going against one of His Ten Commandments.

There are no ifs and buts about it. These are deplorable, evil acts and we need to speak out promptly and clearly against them, just like we do against palestinian terrorism.'

However what strikes me is the indecent eagerness of media outlets, especially the institutionally anti Israel BBC, to cover these stories and push them to the top of the news. It's almost as though they want to say, or at least imply, that 'look at this, the Israelis are intolerant, baby killing terrorists, we told you so. No wonder the poor Palestinian people have to respond'.

All populations have bad people, bad people do bad things. You should judge a people by how their leaders react to one of their people doing a bad thing. In the case of these recent attacks, the Israeli government, Prime Minister and religious leaders have denounced the perpetrators and apologised for their actions. Do contrast that with the response of the Palestinian leadership to their people committing acts of terrorism against Israelis, where the terrorists are paid and may well have streets or sports stadiums named after them.

A fair and unbiased media would make this distinction clear, but the BBC is neither fair nor unbiased.

Jerusalem Gay Pride: Six stabbed 'by ultra-Orthodox Jew' per BBC News

I think that the BBC news department have had a collective orgasm. The top news story on their world site, also third lead story on the main news site is that 'Jerusalem Gay Pride: Six stabbed 'by ultra-Orthodox Jew''

The BBC are going big on this story, never mind that the perpetrator has been arrested, never mind that the Israeli government has denounced the attack. This is just the type of story that gets the BBC's collective juices flowing as they can use it as yet another excuse to vilify Israel, coincidentally increasing the amount of anti Semitic sentiment in the UK and around the world. Meanwhile the Iranian state kills homosexuals just for being homosexual and other Islamic states persecute homosexuals, but that's not important news for the BBC as that might show Islam in a bad light and risk Islamophobia and that would never do.

How the BBC's Middle East 'journalists' sleep at night I'll never know.

More poisonous shite from the BBC here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-33726634

Sharp rise in anti-semitic incidents in UK, figures suggest per BBC News

The BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-33713259 on a sharp rise in anti-semitic incidents in the UK without ever mentioning the perpetrators or causes.
I'd hazard a guess that a large number of the perpetrators were Muslim and one of the reasons is the anti Israel hysteria that the institutionally anti Israel BBC has helped create.

Kerry: We Don't Have 'Access' to the 'Actual Agreement' on Iran Side Deals per Breitbart

Oh marvellous, Kerry hasn't seen the whole agreement and doesn't think Rice has either. So how will Congress know what's actually in it?

More here http://www.breitbart.com/video/2015/07/28/kerry-we-dont-have-access-to-the-actual-agreement-on-iran-side-deals/ but not on the BBC who are desperate for Iran to have nuclear weapons and so threaten, maybe destroy Israel.

NHS is forced to remind doctors and nurses that they must give water to dying patients

The 'envy of the world', the NHS is at it again...
'Doctors and nurses are having to be reminded to give water to dying patients.

It is being spelled out to them in basic guidelines following concerns that patients are being denied fluids before their deaths.

Experts fear the controversial Liverpool Care Pathway – under which food and drink was withdrawn from the dying – has left a 'hangover' in the NHS a year after it was abolished.

Staff are routinely waiting up to three days before putting the terminally ill on drips or feeding tubes while they debate whether it is in their 'best interests'.

... warned that he still regularly sees severely dehydrated patients on wards

Now guidance from NHS watchdog Nice – the first of its kind – expressly tells staff to 'support' dying patients to drink, or get them to suck sponges soaked in water if they are very frail.

It specifically points out that dehydration is 'unlikely to hasten death' and fluids will not 'prolong' the dying process, but in fact ease a patient's suffering.'

The BBC with half an explanation

This BBC report starts thus:
'The number of pupils attending England's secondary schools is set to rise by 20% over the course of the next decade, government figures show.

By 2024, nearly 3.3 million pupils are expected to be attending state-funded secondaries, compared with just over 2.7 million in 2015, a rise of 547,000.

The increase is mainly due to the upturn in the birth rate since 2002, the Department for Education says.

The rise follows years of falling rolls due to low birth rates in the 1990s.'
Well partially yes. But surely the part missing from the explanation is the phenomenonal increase in immigration post 1997. How many of the rise in secondary school pupils is accounted for by the children of people who immigrated to this country post 1997? Immigrants who had children as late as 2002 would now see those children entering secondary school this September. What was the rise in immigration between 1997 and 2002?

Living Wage 'could harm home care sector' per BBC News

It may be my imagination but I could have sworn that when the Labour Party were pushing the concept of a 'living wage' the BBC were all in favour and arguments against it were dismissed.  Now that the Conservatives have, however cynically, adopted the policy it seems that the problems with the policy need to be aired.

This article http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-33678919 investigates the possible negative impact on part of the health service and local government.

It is incredible how the left, including the BBC, can change their minds about a policy so rapidly depending upon who's proposing it. Now where's my copy of 1984...

@TribeswithFlags isn't always amusing, sometimes he's really nasty

I posted earlier about a recent amusingly stupid tweet from @TribeswithFlags

Unfortunately it seems that he's not just an amusing fool, here's two earlier tweets that oddly enough he/she/it has chosen not to defend or justify.

Here's the first...

Interesting, an accusation that the Israelis are sending Palestinians to the ovens, with the implication that this is just as the Jews were sent by the Nazis. This sort of slur is more common than you might imagine amongst the nastier elements on Twitter.

Here's the second...

Strange that @TribeswithFlags thinks that the worst place in the world to be a Christian is Bethlehem not those areas of Iraq and Syria where Christians are being killed by ISIS for being insufficiently Muslim, or many other Islamic countries such as Pakistan.

I wonder what first attracted @TribeswithFlags to hate Israel...

Hard left plot to infiltrate Labour race per The Sunday Times

'HARRIET HARMAN has been urged to suspend the Labour leadership race after evidence emerged that hard left infiltration is fuelling a huge surge in party membership.

More than 140,000 new activists are projected to have joined by the deadline for registration to vote, a rise of more than two thirds since the election, with many signing up to back the hard left candidate Jeremy Corbyn.

The Communist party of Great Britain has called on supporters to join and back Corbyn as part of its revolutionary "strategy" while Green party activists have also been discussing how to vote for him.

Labour MPs say their local parties have been flooded with new members, most of them supporting Corbyn, the MP for Islington North, who polls have suggested is the frontrunner in the leadership race.

Some of the new members have previously stood as candidates for the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition... '

It would take a heart of stone not to laugh at the problems mounting up for the Labour Party.

"Palestinians murdering striped hyena"

Why would someone do that? Why is stoning a poor lost wild animal acceptable? How sick are these people?

A reminder of how a non institutionally anti Israel news organisation reports from Gaza. Feel free to compare with the BBC.

Farmer faces fine for smoking break in tractor per BBC News

This BBC news report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-33607067 is quite ridiculous but one thing that struck me is that the farmer was caught by a 'tobacco control officer'. How many of these tobacco control officers are there? How much does each get paid? What is the management structure that runs them?

I hate smoking but the criminalisation of smokers is just another example of raising money via transgression taxes. Smokers and motorists are cash cows for government, whether national or local.

The two hundred and seventh weekly No Shit, Sherlock award - Climate change debate 'dictated by left-wing anti-capitalists', says Amber Rudd - Telegraph

'Climate change secretary says she can understand why people see tackling global warming as "cover for anti-growth, anti-capitalist, proto-socialism"

Left wing anti-capitalists have dictated the debate on tackling climate change and a Conservative approach is needed to prevent global warming, Amber Rudd, the energy and climate change secretary, will say on Friday.'
No Shit Sherlock

Jeremy Corbyn calls for end to 'silly remarks' by critics per BBC News who show that you can forget about those tricky science stories, their Arts graduates can't even write decent English...

Read this passage, spot the dreadful English?
'How does it work? If no candidate gets 50% of all votes cast, the candidate in fourth place is eliminated. Their second preference votes are then redistributed among the remaining three. If no-one has still not got 50% of votes the third place candidate is eliminated with their second preferences (or third in the case of votes transferred from the fourth place candidates) redistributed. It is then a straight head-to-head between the last two candidates with the one having the most votes winning.'
'If no-one has still not got... '

Not very impressive is it?

The candour, humour and body swerve of a US president per BBC News

John Sopel doesn't hide his positive feelings for Barack Hussein Obama in this grade A suck up piece - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-33646545 I can't imagine a similarly positive piece about any Republican President.
One piece struck me for a different reason:
'"I am not a fan of discrimination and bullying of anybody on the basis of race, on the basis of religion, on the basis of sexual orientation or gender," he told me.'
This was re Africa. Which would raise an obvious followup question for an unbiased journalist - what about Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries where non Muslims suffer because of their race and religion, where homosexuals are persecuted, sometimes fatally so, and where women are definitely second class citizens? Oddly this question was not asked by the BBC's Sopel, I don't know why...

BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Arctic summers ice-free within 5 or 6 years

This BBC report is absolutely shocking, an ice free Arctic within 5 or 6 years.
'Scientists in the US have presented one of the most dramatic forecasts yet for the disappearance of Arctic sea ice.

Their latest modelling studies indicate northern polar waters could be ice-free in summers within just 5-6 years.

Professor Wieslaw Maslowski told an American Geophysical Union meeting that previous projections had underestimated the processes now driving ice loss.

Summer melting this year reduced the ice cover to 4.13 million sq km, the smallest ever extent in modern times.

Remarkably, this stunning low point was not even incorporated into the model runs of Professor Maslowski and his team, which used data sets from 1979 to 2004 to constrain their future projections. In the end, it will melt away quite suddenly... '

That is a truly scary prospect, an ice free Arctic within 5 or 6 years.

Hold on though, that report is from 2007 and 8 years on the Arctic isn't ice free. But scaremongering continues and now we are being told that the Arctic could be ice free by 2030. The trouble is that that's also the predicted year for the Maunder minimum so probably not an ice free Arctic then.

That BBC 2007 report also included this:
'"Our projection of 2013 for the removal of ice in summer is not accounting for the last two minima, in 2005 and 2007," the researcher from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, explained to the BBC."So given that fact, you can argue that may be our projection of 2013 is already too conservative."'
More scaremongering here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/7139797.stm

Arctic ice 'grew by a third' after cool summer in 2013 per BBC News

'But they say 2013 was a one-off and that climate change will continue to shrink the ice in the decades ahead.'
You've gotta have faith... because the facts just don't support the hypothesis.

How Could We Have Known: The Jews Who Voted For Obama per The Jewish Press

'You want to tell me you really didn't know about Obama's hatred for the Jews and for Israel? Sorry, but I'm having trouble buying that story.'

Is John Kerry stupid or a liar?

If he believes that because "they're not allowed to do that", then Iran won't, then he's stupid. If he says it whilst knowing the true position then he's a liar.
Any other options?

#BBCtrending: What pilgrims showed the world from Mecca per BBC News - a vague acknowledgement of Saudi Arabian apartheid

The BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-33572433 on the Haj and include this thought...

'... the Saudi city of Mecca, a city typically closed to non-Muslims'

Apartheid? 'Typically'?

Chattanooga attack: Gunman Abdulazeez 'sent war text' per BBC News

This BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-33581753 is full of the sort of mental confusion that you'd expect from a 'news reporting' organisation whose world view is crumbling.
Here are some long extracts from the BBC report with my comments....

' The night before a gunman killed five US service personnel in Tennessee, he sent a text message linking to a religious verse about "declaring war", reports say.'

A religious aspect, which religion? Maybe the BBC will deign to tell us.

'Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez also spoke out against conflicts in the Middle East, according to the Reuters agency.'

Well of course he did, and the BBC are desperate to hold on to that as the real cause.

'Police have said his motives are still being investigated.'

The police being almost as desperate as the BBC.

'His family said Abdulazeez, who was killed in a shootout with police, suffered from depression.'

Of course, and depressive people do go on shooting sprees?

......

'Meanwhile, Reuters and the New York Times say they have seen a text sent the night before to a friend linking to a passage of Islamic text - Hadith 38 - containing the verse: "Whosoever shows enmity to a friend of Mine, I will indeed declare war against him.'

So the religious aspect is Islam, that's a surprise from someone called Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez.

"Full text of Hadith 38
Allah the Almighty has said: "Whosoever acts with enmity towards a friend [wali] of Mine, I will indeed declare war against him. Nothing endears My servant to Me than doing of what I have made obligatory upon him to do. And My servant continues to draw nearer to Me with supererogatory [nawafil] prayers so that I shall love him. When I love him, I shall be his hearing with which he shall hear, his sight with which he shall see, his hands with which he shall hold, and his feet with which he shall walk. And if he asks [something] of Me, I shall surely give it to him, and if he takes refuge in Me, I shall certainly grant him it."

That verse doesn't like something that 'the religion of peace' would say, but what do I know.

'The friend, who requested anonymity, said he thought nothing of the text at the time, but now wonders if it was a hint at the attack to come.'

Well of course not. Who of us doesn't receive links to religious texts that declare religious war from our friends all the time?

'Other friends also told Reuters that Abdulazeez spoke of his anger about conflicts in the Middle East, including Israeli bombing campaigns in Gaza and the civil war in Syria, after returning from a trip to Jordan last year.'

Ah it's all Israel's fault, well that was always going to appeal to the institutionally anti Israel BBC.

'"He had always talked about it, but I'd say his level of understanding and awareness really rose after he came back," said one of the friends interviewed.'

'Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez needn't have travelled to the Middle East to raise his anti Israel consciousness, he could have just visited the BBC website where the works of Jeremy Al Bowen, Lyse Doucet and Jon Donnison would have had the same effect.

'They said he had purchased three guns online following the visit, and used them for target practice.'

But no alarm bells were raised by this?

.......

'It would be premature to speculate on exactly why the shooter did what he did," FBI agent Ed Reinhold said. "However, we are conducting a thorough investigation to determine whether this person acted alone or was inspired or directed."'

Of course, that religious text will be a red herring, how could it be of possible relevance?

Iain's Perfect Response To Holocaust Caller per LBC

This post might surprise some...
'A caller tells Iain Dale that Jews should "get over" the Holocaust - until Iain's passionate response shuts him up.

Tom in Chelsea called after Oskar Groening, known as "the book-keeper of Auschwitz", was sentenced to four years in prison for being an accessory to the murder of at least 300,000 Jews.

He told Iain that Jewish people should stop going on about what happened under the Nazis in the 1940s - until the LBC presenter put him in his place. '
I'm actually partially in agreement with Tom from Chelsea. Not about Jews getting over the Holocaust, that's a vile and insensitive suggestion. But in relation to the way that the BBC and other media, as well as governments of all hues commemorate the evil of the Nazis whilst ignoring the greater numbers killed in the name of furthering communism by Stalin's Russia and Mao's China. The number of people still in the Labour Party and, presumably the BBC, who supported the Russian and Chinese communist regimes when, or soon after, they killed millions and imprisoned as many fills me with disgust.

Until we recognise that the number of people killed by the left is something that we should take warning from, we leave ourselves open to it happening again.

The two hundred and sixth weekly "No Shit, Sherlock award" - Khamenei: Nuclear deal won't change our regional alliances

'The nuclear agreement with major powers will not change Iran's policy against the "arrogant American government" nor will it change the Islamic Republic's policy of supporting its "friends" in the region, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Saturday.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran will not give up support of its friends in the region — the oppressed people of Palestine, of Yemen, the Syrian and Iraqi governments, the oppressed people of Bahrain and sincere resistance fighters in Lebanon and Palestine… Our policy will not change with regards to the arrogant US government," said Khamenei.

His remarks were greeted by chants of "Death to America" and "Death to Israel" at a ceremony in Tehran marking the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, which was broadcast live on state television. '
Iran will continue to support Islamist terrorists and forment hate of the only majority Jewish state, no Shit Sherlock.

Why they lie to us, and keep on lying regardless of the evidence that disproves their lies

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."

EU Official: Migrant Boats Also Carrying ISIS Fighters per Breitbart

'EU OFFICIAL: MIGRANT BOATS ALSO CARRYING ISIS FIGHTERS

 by BREITBART NEWS
6 Jul 2015

BRUSSELS (AP) — The European Union's top prosecutor said Monday she has been told that smugglers' boats bringing migrants across the Mediterranean to Europe are also carrying Islamic State group fighters.

Michele Coninsx, head of the EU's judicial cooperation agency Eurojust, told reporters she received the information as part of the organization's efforts to help EU nations jointly respond to illegal immigration, terrorism and cybercrime.'

You could look to the British Broadcasting Corporation for coverage of this story but somehow I doubt that they'll be interested.

Why agreements with the EU are worthless

From Guido Fawkes this morning:
'Conservative Party manifesto, May 2015:
"We took Britain out of Eurozone bailouts, including for Greece – the first ever return of powers from Brussels."
July 2015:
"Britain will be liable for close to £1 billion of emergency loans to Greece after Jean-Claude Juncker tore up a "black and white" deal to protect UK taxpayers from Eurozone bailouts."
This is why whatever renegotiation David Cameron says he's achieved will make no difference to Eurosceptics, they know that post a vote to stay in, the EU will do what they like and David Cameron will meekly acquiesce.

Chattanooga shootings: House searched after marines killed per BBC News

The BBC's Gary O'Donoghue has managed to name the Chattanooga gunman but is very quick, as I predicted, to label him a lone wolf.

'The investigation is still at an early stage, but it appears that Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez was acting alone. What made him do what he did will be the subject of intensive inquiries that will delve deep into his past and that of his friends and family, and into his state of mind. But lone wolves, as such men are often described, are the hardest to stop.'
When does a lone wolf cease to be such? How many lone wolf attacks must there be before the BBC will admit that there is a common factor to these attacks?

UK spare electricity capacity to fall this winter per BBC News

This BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-33527967 manages to warn of power shortages this winter but apart from this brief comment: ' EU regulations have forced older polluting power plants to close.' barely hint at the reasons.
Maybe the last Labour government and its obsession with replacing proper power stations with windmills might be partially to blame.Perhaps we could all ask Ed Miliband to pay our surcharges for us.

Doing deals to prevent nuclear weapons being manufactured by rogue nations works, doesn't it?

Watching the Barack Hussein Obama administration do everything it can in order to placate Iran and come to a deal, any deal, that at least appears to restrict Iran's march towards nuclear weapons reminded me of another US Democrat President doing similar.

Here's Bill Clinton from October 1994 on how his deal was going to stop North Korea's nuclear weapons programme. That worked out well, didn't it?

On October 9, 2006, North Korea announced it had successfully conducted its first nuclear test. An underground explosion was detected, its yield was estimated as less than a kiloton, and some radioactive output was detected.[6][7][8]
On January 6, 2007, the North Korean government further confirmed that it had nuclear weapons.[9]
In April 2009, reports surfaced that North Korea has become a "fully fledged nuclear power", an opinion shared by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Mohamed ElBaradei.[10] On May 25, 2009, North Korea conducted a second nuclear test, resulting in an explosion estimated to be between 2 and 7 kilotons.[11] The 2009 test, like the 2006 test, is believed to have occurred at Mantapsan, Kilju County, in the north-eastern part of North Korea.[12]
On February 11, 2013, the U.S. Geological Survey detected a magnitude 5.1 seismic disturbance,[13] reported to be a third underground nuclear test.[14] North Korea has officially reported it as a successful nuclear test with a lighter warhead that delivers more force than before, but has not revealed the exact yield. Multiple South Korean sources estimate the yield at 6–9 kilotons, while the German Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources estimates the yield at 40 kilotons.[15][16][17]

How stupid does Barack Hussein Obama think we are? What does he care if Iran gains nuclear weapons and can threaten or even attack Israel with them?

Jeremy Corbyn loses his cool.

Scratch the surface and what an angry little chap lies underneath.

Half-naked stockbroker performed 'vigorous' solo sex act in Kensington Gardens toilet per Telegraph

Vigorous masturbating makes sense, vicious much less so... Different strokes for different folks (pun intended)

'Court hears Thomas Boyd, 61, emerged from a cubicle 'viciously' pleasuring himself in front of a history lecturer

A retired stockbroker pleasured himself in front of a shocked American academic in the public toilets in Kensington Gardens, a court heard.History lecturer Dr Tom Sebrell was stunned to see a half naked Thomas Boyd, 61, emerging from a cubicle, jurors heard.

The former stockbroker was allegedly staring at the uncomfortable Dr Sebrell, who lives in west London, as he "viciously" performed a solo sex act.'

Is the BBC biased?: The case for (some) walls

Is the BBC biased has a great article http://isthebbcbiased.blogspot.co.uk/2015/07/the-case-for-some-walls.html pointing out the obvious truth that for the BBC, and others, building security walls to keep out Islamist terrorists is fine, unless the wall is built by Israel, in which case it's an apartheid wall

Hamas violations of laws

'... Hamas has been guilty of far more violations of the laws of war and humanitarian law,  - 18 other violations by my count.

Using medical facilities and ambulances for military purposes. Booby trapping civilian areas.

Fighting while not in uniform. Using the local population as human shields. Recruiting and exploiting children. Stealing humanitarian aid. Using the uniform of the enemy. Threatening journalists. Mistreating the dead.'

Tunisia to build 'anti-terror' wall on Libya border per BBC News

The BBC report that:
'Tunisia has announced plans to build a wall along its border with Libya to counter the threat from jihadist militants.

It would stretch 160km (100 miles) inland from the coast, and be completed by the end of 2015, Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid told state TV.'
Strangely the BBC aren't quite as upset by this anti terrorist wall as they are by the security fence and wall built by Israel to keep Palestinian terrorists out of Israel. I wonder why...

M25 brought to a standstill by illegal immigrants who jumped from a lorry per Daily Mail Online

A staggering story headlined:
'Moment M25 was brought to a standstill by illegal immigrants who jumped from a lorry and ran across eight lanes of traffic'
This is getting ridiculous...

Lyse Doucet - Children of the Gaza War

I missed this programme last night, so will watch it now and (as live) blog it.

What am I expecting? Well as this is a BBC production and the BBC is 'unbiased by Charter', I am expecting a totally unbiased examination of the subject. Let's see...

We open on destroyed buildings and then a scene in 'Gaza City, July 2014' of a Palestinian ambulance being apparently attacked whilst being filmed. The screen goes black and then we see a smiling Palestinian boy who suddenly looks sad, then two girls as the doleful tones of the BBC's Chief International Correspondent Lyse Doucet are heard, what will she have to say? "More than 500 children were killed last year in a war between Israel and Gaza". I'd rather she had said Israel and Hamas but let's leave that aside.

"I was in Gaza then" - shots of a window being blown out of a building.

Actually I can't keep this level of reporting and comment up, I do have to do some work today, so I'll back off a bit and just comment when I think I need to.

How sweet Lyse Doucet films a young Israeli girl saying "It's either us or them, so obviously it's them", I wonder if she'll show any Palestinian children expressing similar sentiments or leave this image in the viewers mind?

Cut to a Palestinian child reciting a poem... saying "Israel is massacring us" ... hold on that's what the subtitles say but let's listen again to the Arabic, now my Arabic is pretty poor but even I know that the Arabic for Israelis is something like Isr'ili whilst the Arabic for Jews is similar to Yahud. That boy definitely said Yahuda, maybe a mistake or is Lyse Doucet trying to make out that the Palestinians aren't saying Jews but Israelis? Maybe it's a one-off....

A overhead of the usual area of Gaza that is filmed by the BBC, Channel 4 etc., I suppose that luxury hotels, bustling full markets and beaches would give the British public the wrong idea.

Some boys playing football, one tells a story about the beach. I can see where this is heading...The old canard about the Israelis deliberately killing some boys on a beach. A few minutes on Google would find the truth behind this story but this is a BBC Lyse Doucet production so I suppose there just wasn't time for any balancing narrative.

More interviews and sad voices in Gaza.

Lyse Doucet goes to Sderot, how will she report from here? Sderot has a lot of bomb shelters, indeed they do. "Kassam rockets are crude", indeed they are but does that mean that Israel shouldn't respond to the firing of thousands at Israeli civilians?

Whilst the 12 year-old Israeli boy talks about the rockets that have hit near his house and the car that was destroyed the BBC show some (presumably home video) of the damaged car, the fact that the man looking into the car is smiling I am sure had no bearing on the BBC's decision to show this clip.

Lyse Doucet makes much of the fact that the Israeli children have to be no more than 14 seconds away from a bomb shelter. We leave the Israeli children playing on nice bikes, not too far away from a bomb shelter that Lyse Doucet helpfully points out has a TV in it and the the large collection of CDs. We return to Gaza, with Lyse Doucet riding through a destroyed area, I wonder if it is the same one as before.Plenty of shots of massive destruction for the viewer to compare with the minor issues in Israel.

"They even shell the schools with children inside"And Lyse Doucet reports on the shelling of a school. Lyse Doucet reports what the Israelis say but I think it's clear what she believes. This part of the report is quite a long one and is designed to engender sympathy with the Palestinians and hatred for the Israelis. The girl's mother is in an Israeli hospital, Lyse Doucet explains that by saying that it is "better equipped".

We cut back to Israel, where a blond girl is choosing clothes to put into a suitcase. She has "too much stuff" and can "escape the war zone". Apparently they can go to the North of Israel which is safe, not if Hezbollah carry out their declared aim of killing all Jews but I suppose that's an irrelevant detail for Lyse Doucet.

Lyse Doucet does mention "a tunnel"under an Israeli town and that destroying these tunnels becomes a priority for the Israelis. A few minutes there in a nice room, lots of pink and cheerfulness and then it's back to Gaza and a shot through a hole in a wall of a blue chair and a green bottle in an otherwise drab surrounding.

"In Gaza there is no place to hide" This is interesting Lyse Doucet says that Hamas fires rockets from within civilian areas, she doesn't mention that this is against the Geneva Conventions but I suppose she hasn't time to report everything and editorial decisions have to be made.Lyse Doucet reports an Israeli claim but then reports the effect on the children. The poor boy gets upset and understandably so.

The film now shows small Palestinian children holding weapons but the tone is one of understanding why they should do this. In case the British public has forgotten we get more shots of the same area of Gaza.

We're back in Israel so there's colour and a car on a clean road. we're back in Sderot and there's green grass and a pink bicycle and all is normal and western. Anyone would think that Lyse Doucet was trying to give as an impression of how different life is on either side of the border. A few holes in the wall caused by shrapnel, what are these Israelis worried about?

More shots of colourful Israeli home, children drinking and reading in comfort. I wonder what the next shot will be, for contrast? I was wrong it's of the result of a Hamas rocket attack on Israel, a four Israeli year-old boy was killed. But Lyse Doucet puts his death into context - he's the only Israeli child to die in this war, she's already told us about the deaths of many Palestinian children, it doesn't need to be repeated that would be too unsubtle.

Some more from the Israeli mother and how the death of this one child has affected her.

A truce is called because the Israeli child was killed, and Lyse Doucet reminds us that over 500 Palestinian children were killed (I guess is did need to be repeated, subtlety is not Lyse Doucet's strong point), the inference we are meant to draw is clear, for the Israelis one Jewish child is more important that 500 Palestinian ones.

More shots of Lyse Doucet driving through that area of Gaza with a kindly sad face. "More than 2,000 lives had been lost". She reports the Israeli and Palestinian claims and then something interesting:
"... didn't win the concessions Gazans wanted: an end to Israel's blockade, an opening of their borders with Israel and Egypt"

If Gaza has a border with Egypt then the Israeli land blockade would be useless as Egypt could just open its border with Gaza. So does this mean that Egypt is also blockading Gaza?  Hold that thought as I'll be posting an article I read a few weeks back but neglected to post at the time. It has relevance to both this Lyse Doucet programme and a tweet made by Channel4's Jon Snow yesterday.

Now we have some Palestinians talking, again with subtitles. Again a boy talks and says Yahud but the subtitle says Israel. That's twice now... Also the claim is that "... we know Israel wants to wipe out Gaza", a claim that is left hanging. It's not true but why let the facts ruin an anti-Israel claim? If Israel wanted to wipe out Gaza it could do so in about a month of non-stop bombing, Israel doesn't want to destroy Gaza but how should it respond to Hamas firing thousands of rockets at Israel? I wonder if Lyse Doucet will ponder that question.

Another claim from a Palestinian child is left hanging "They don't want us to grow up and kill them so they kill us when we are young". Another claim left as fact? Not even "Of course the Isrealis deny this"?

More images of Gaza and then it's back to Israel where their problems are reported but shown as not as dire in situation as in Gaza. More shots of colourful Israel.

Back to the destruction in Gaza. A boy carrying a mattress and very mood music! The Palestinian family also move home but their home is in ruins not like the Israeli family's home. This is pretty obvious stuff from Lyse Doucet....

Palestinian children vowing revenge and then it's off to a Hamas children's military camp, its existence having been explained/excused by the actions of the Israelis. I wonder if Hamas held such camps before 2014? Before 2007?

More video from the Hamas training camp. We get a subtitled translation of a speech "We're going to hit the enemy and God will help us"

A happy Gazan family reunites, money is the worry; I wonder if the family would have money if Hamas spent international aid on its [people rather than weapons, presumably Lyse Doucet will ponder that... she doesn't.

A contrast  between a Palestinian and an Israeli school at peace.

More from the Palestinian boy who lost his cousin/brother on the beach. Lots of him talking about what happened and sad images of his face. The Israeli claims were reported once, earlier, Lyse Doucet doesn't have to again and if she doesn't have to...

We see an undamaged market in Gaza but the fear is "another war". How or why one would start is not explored. Presumably because it will only start, in the BBC's mind, when Israel reacts to more Palestinian aggression.

Palestinian children return to their home "hoping to fond some of their belongings". Please not a Damian teddy bear moment, not even Lyse Doucet would be that obvious.... \A sandal is mentioned but not seen, Some more shots of distraught Palestinian children in a destroyed building.

Now this is interesting, a grandfather remembers when there was an open border with Israel, contact and even friendship. Will Lyse Doucet say why this situation changed? No need, the grandfather does it for her "But our enemy is a criminal. They won't keep quiet and leave us be". Presumably Lyse Doucet will remind her audience that Israel's attack on Hamas in Gaza came only after thousands of rockets were fired at Israel, Jewish soldiers were killed and a Hamas tunnel into Israel was used for a terrorist attack.... No of course not.

The last words from that grandfather are odd: "The children's memories will not allow them to live in peace with Israel" are what the subtitles say, but I don't hear Isr'ili but neither do I hear Yahud, can anyone translate this line properly for me?

More mournful music and a child's voice again with subtitles "I hope God kills the Israelis" Except the girl clearly says Yahud... That's three times and so I invoke the Goldfinger convention: 'Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, the third time is enemy action'. What is Lyse Doucet and the BBC trying to do here, a Palestinian on three separate occasions (maybe four) says the Arabic for Jew but the subtitle says Israeli(s). Lyse Doucet and the BBC are trying to convince the British public that this isn't about hatred of Jews but just about Israel, maybe we should look at the Hamas Charter since they are the people who run Gaza and educate the children:

From the Introduction:
For our struggle against the Jews is extremely wide-ranging and grave, so much so that it will need all the loyal efforts we can wield, to be followed by further steps and reinforced by successive battalions from the multifarious Arab and Islamic world, until the enemies are defeated and Allah’s victory prevails
From Part One, Article Seven:

...the Hamas has been looking forward to implement Allah’s promise whatever time it might take. The prophet, prayer and peace be upon him, said: The time will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! there is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him! This will not apply to the Gharqad, which is a Jewish tree (cited by Bukhari and Muslim).
 From  Part Three, Article 15:
When our enemies usurp some Islamic lands, Jihad becomes a duty binding on all Muslims. In order to face the usurpation of Palestine by the Jews, we have no escape from raising the banner of Jihad.
 From Part Three, Article 20:
The Nazism of the Jews does not skip women and children, it scares everyone. They make war against people’s livelihood, plunder their moneys and threaten their honor. In their horrible actions they mistreat people like the most horrendous war criminals. Exiling people from their country is another way of killing them. As we face this misconduct, we have no escape from establishing social solidarity among the people, from confronting the enemy as one solid body, so that if one organ is hurt the rest of the body will respond with alertness and fervor.
 From Part Four, Article 28:
We cannot fail to remind every Muslim that when the Jews occupied Holy Jerusalem in 1967 and stood at the doorstep of the Blessed Aqsa Mosque, they shouted with joy: “Muhammad is dead, he left daughters behind.” Israel, by virtue of its being Jewish and of having a Jewish population, defies Islam and the Muslims. “Let the eyes of the cowards not fall asleep.”
 From Part Four, Artcle 32:
Within the circle of the conflict with world Zionism, the Hamas regards itself the spearhead and the avant-garde. It joins its efforts to all those who are active on the Palestinian scene, but more steps need to be taken by the Arab and Islamic peoples and Islamic associations throughout the Arab and Islamic world in order to make possible the next round with the Jews, the merchants of war. “We have cast among them enmity and hatred till the day of Resurrection. As often as they light a fire for war, Allah extinguishes it. Their effort is for corruption in the land, and Allah loves not corrupters.” Sura V (Al-Ma’idah—the Table spread), verse 64.

Hamas's war is not Israel but with Jews; it's in their Charter, it's in their words in Arabic and it's in their educational system. The children saying Yahud don't mean Israel, they mean Jews. That might offend Lyse Doucet who might prefer to believe that it's a mistake, if she even checked the translation provided to her but that's a fact.

The girl continues "When we grow up we're going to kill them. May God kill all of them, every last one." Sad music plays... Remember the words of Hezbollah's Hassan Nazrallah "If they (Jews) all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide." This is about Jew hatred not Israel.

Now we see two Israeli children looking at the destruction in Gaza, they are accompanied by Lyse Doucet. Will they promise to kill all Palestinians? What will Lyse Doucet get them to say to finish the programme with something as shocking as Palestinian children saying that they "hope God kills the Jews"?

Lyse Doucet talks to the Jewish children about "girls and boys on the other side who were also scared". I note that she didn't have a similar conversation with the Palestinian children, tricky when they "hope God kills the Jews"?

The little Israeli girl says that "They are the homes of people that want to kill us", well that's true, including children who "hope God kills the Jews". And we finish with her saying "It's either us or them., So obviously it's them". The camera lingers on a shy smile from the girl, will that image and words satisfy Lyse Doucet?

Lyse Doucet talks to camera and talks about the increase in Israeli border security and a "wall of hostility, of suspicion and fear". Nice use of the word wall to make people think of the Israeli security wall on the west side of the Jordan river. No examination as to why the Israelis had to increase security, maybe because Hamas not only spoke about killing all Jews, they tried to. Lyse Doucet fears for the future...

There's more, and we're back with on of the Palestinian boys. A boy that has changed his mind and no longer wants to be a fighter. He wants to "drive them out" by other means, maybe by making a documentary with the BBC's Lyse Doucet,m for an hour of anti-Israel images is worth more than one boy and an AK47. No he wants to surprise them with his education and inventions.Lyse Doucet asks him if he wants the war to come back, he doesn't.

We now see a Hamas flag and the makeshift graveyard. We contrast to the bright colours of Israel and the words from Lyse Doucet that "no rockets have landed in the kibbutz since the ceasefire", have they landed at any other ones Ms Doucet?

Some images of the Israeli side of the border with Lyse Doucet looking sad at the acceptance by the little girl of war as a reality. She is much happier at the new mother's hopes of peace. We have a barmitvah in Israel, he's now a man which contrasts with the BBC's reporting of the deaths of Palestinians in Gaza where 20+ year-olds are reported as children.

Now we contrast the barmitzvah's glitz and modernity with the Palestinian children playing in a dusty street. Lyse Doucet thinks that the children grow up too soon but leaves us with a crying Palestinian mother and her children.

Apparently another war is coming, and there have been three in six years already but nest not tell the British public who started these wars Lyse Doucet?

Another reference or more to "the beach", Lyse Doucet isn't going to let the viewer forget that part of her narrative.

The piece ends and we get some BBC contextual information. First that both sides were found responsible for war crimes by a UN Inquiry. The second one I will quote in full:
"In May and June there were more rounds of rockets fired from Gaza and Israeli airstrikes".
I would say that would be better worded:

"In May and June there were more rounds of rockets fired from Gaza leading to retaliatory Israeli airstrikes".

That's the end of the programme and my feelings are pretty much that Lyse Doucet presented just what I expected she would. A pretence of impartiality and even-handedness but in reality the programme was designed to raise sympathy and support for the Palestinians of Gaza and to increase anti-Israel feelings. But above all, what struck me was the way that at least three times the subtitles said Israel or Israelis  when the words said Jews has really shocked me. The Palestinian children said that they "hope God kills the Jews". It looks like I will have to raise yet another complaint with the BBC...

7/7 10 Years On

Please spare a minute or two today to remember the men and women whose lives were ended by the murderous actions of four home-grown Islamist Jihadis ten years ago today.

Those that died are listed here but also think about those that survived, some very badly injured. At the time around 700 people were injured; some 350 were treated on the scene, and 350 in hospital. 100 required overnight hospitalisation or longer and 22 were seriously or critically injured (I believe a few may still be hospitalised but cannot confirm this). Many of these people will still bear the scars both physical and mental, as will many who although not injured were on the trains or the bus that were bombed and of course the family & friends of the dead and injured.

On that day four Islamic terrorists blew themselves up on London's transport system killing 52 innocent people. There is a memorial to them on the BBC here. Take some time to read the potted biographies and see the waste of human life that day.

I am sure that many Londoners still remember the pain of that day and the fear that pervaded London that week and beyond as they had to travel to work on a London transport system that now seemed oh so dangerous.

When people try and justify terrorism because 'we invaded Iraq, or because 'Israel stole Muslim land' or whatever remember this photo of Dan Biddle. What part did Dan Biddle play in these 'offences'?
What part did any of those who were injured on 7/7 play in these 'offences'? What part did those who died on 7/7 play? The answer is none, but to many Islamists only Muslims can be innocent, anybody who is not a Muslim is thus a fair target. Terrorists are terrorists and deserve no sympathy at all.

Another of the injured was Rachel North, take some time to read her blog and some of the reports of her story such as here, here and here. There are other victims who have lost limbs, their eyesight, and their peace of mind, you can read some of their stories here.

You can read more about the 7/7 bombings here, take the time to open the three reports and read them.

I have blogged about those events before and commend those articles to you.

BBC to pump £740m of licence fee payers' cash into pension scheme deficit

The bare faced cheek of the lefty BBC is boundless.
'The BBC has decided not to ask its long-serving staff – who, in common with much of the public sector, enjoy guaranteed pension benefits when they retire – for any additional contributions

The BBC is to pump £740 million of licence fee payers' cash into its pension scheme, to try and close a funding deficit that has nearly doubled over the last three years.

According to a new valuation, the deficit in the BBC pension fund – ie, the value of its assets minus its projected liabilities to retiring staff – has grown from £1.1 billion in 2010 to £2bn in 2013.

However the BBC has decided not to ask its long-serving staff – who, in common with much of the public sector, enjoy guaranteed pension benefits when they retire – for any additional contributions.

As a result, licence-fee payers will be expected to foot the entire bill, at an additional cost of £365million over the next four years.'
Here's something for the alleged Conservative government to act on, but they won't because they are scared of the BBC's power.

The two hundred and fifth weekly No Shit Sherlock award - ISIS terrorists are arriving in Europe 'hidden among migrants' per Daily Mail Online

'The European Union's top prosecutor says she has been told that Islamic State terrorists are being smuggled across the Mediterranean hidden among migrants.

Michele Coninsx, head of the EU's judicial co-operation agency Eurojust, has confirmed she received the intelligence as part of the organisation's efforts to respond to illegal immigration, terrorism and cybercrime.'

New ISIS Videos Show Child Jihadis Massacring Syrian Soldiers at Palmyra Amphitheater per Breitbart

'A new video released by the jihadi terror group, the Islamic State, depicts children, abducted and trained to kill by ISIS, executing 25 men identified as soldiers for the Syrian regime of Bashar al-Assad.

The massacre occurs in the historic amphitheater at Palmyra, an ancient Roman city cited as a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has recently been overrun by ISIS terrorists.

The video depicts children pulling the triggers against more than 25 men identified as Assad's soldiers, egged on by a large crowd of men and boys forced to watched the ceremony. The men are lined up on their knees as they usually are in Islamic State execution videos.'

BBC News as usual reporting very selectively on Cuba

The last sentence of this BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-33398655 on a rare Fidel Castro appearance is incredibly one-sided even for the BBC.
'Relations had been frozen since the early 1960s when the US broke links and imposed a trade embargo on Cuba.'
Why did the US break links and impose a trade embargo? Was there no cause? For the lefty activists at the BBC facts as usual are subservient to a cause.

Watson loses to Williams in thriller, BBC Sport show mastery of simple mathematics

'British number one Heather Watson gave top seed Serena Williams a huge scare before losing a thrilling third-round match at Wimbledon.

The 23-year-old battled back from a set down, winning six straight games from 3-3 in the second set.
Watson served for the match at 5-4 in the decider but five-time Wimbledon champion Williams recovered to win 6-2 4-6 7-5 in two hours and 15 minutes.'

Can you spot the mathematical mistake?

If Heather Watson won six straight games from 3-3 in the second set, how did she win that second set 6-4 rather than 6-3?

Lefties at the BBC • Bruce On Politics

This article http://www.bruceonpolitics.com/2015/06/15/lefties-at-the-bbc/ is right on the money, up until where it says that the BBC is pro Israel, that's insanity to claim.

Nigeria Boko Haram crisis: Militants 'kill 150' per BBC News

This news http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-33369713 of another 150 civilians killed in Nigeria is deemed only worthy of an article. If Israel had killed 150 Palestinians it would be front page top story. So is the BBC racist, deeming the murder of black Africans less newsworthy than that of Arabs, or anti Israeli? Maybe releasing the Balen Report would give us an idea...

Girl, 15, arrested in east London over terror offence per BBC News

'A 15-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of a terror offence.'
What are the odds?

BBC to cut more than 1,000 jobs - not enough...

These two areas of cuts in the BBC article struck me:
'Cutting out management layers, reducing management levels from up to 10 in places to seven
Reducing management roles, bringing down the number of senior positions'
What more can I say...

Inbetweeners 2 waterslide scene blamed for 'abhorrent craze' of 'logging' per Daily Mail Online

Words fail me...
'Holidaymakers are falling ill because youngsters deliberately poo in the pool - a craze fuelled by the Inbetweeners 2 film.'
Logging' is inspired by the scene in the 2014 film when Neil (Blake Harrison) poos down a waterslide at a water park.Travel companies have threatened to fine those caught pooing in the pool, as dozens of tourists have been taken ill as a result.'

Egypt's Sinai rocked by wave of deadly attacks - BBC News who have to put the word 'terrorists' between quotation marks because of some sick belief in not criticising genocidal Islamists

'Islamic State militants have launched a wave of attacks on the security forces in Egypt's restive Sinai Peninsula.

The military said 10 soldiers had been killed or wounded along with 39 "terrorists" in near-simultaneous raids on checkpoints near Sheikh Zuweid.'

More here http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-33340458 and all over the increasingly pro Islamist BBC.

Another David Cameron lie?

First the promised EU referendum that never happened and now...

In 2009 David Cameron promised: "No ifs, no buts, there'll be no third runway at Heathrow". So David Cameron will you keep that promise or were you lieing?

Douglas Murray lays bare the BBC's willingness to protect Islam from any criticism

'The night after the Charlie Hebdo atrocities I was pre-recording a Radio 4 programme. My fellow discussant was a very nice Muslim man who works to 'de-radicalise' extremists. We agreed on nearly everything. But at some point he said that one reason Muslims shouldn't react to such cartoons is that Mohammed never objected to critics. There may be some positive things to be said about Mohammed, but I thought this was pushing things too far and mentioned just one occasion when Mohammed didn't welcome a critic. Asma bint Marwan was a female poetess who mocked the 'Prophet' and who, as a result, Mohammed had killed. It is in the texts. It is not a problem for me. But I can understand why it is a problem for decent Muslims. The moment I said this, my Muslim colleague went berserk. How dare I say this? I replied that it was in the Hadith and had a respectable chain of transmission (an important debate). He said it was a fabrication which he would not allow to stand. The upshot was that he refused to continue unless all mention of this was wiped from the recording. The BBC team agreed and I was left trying to find another way to express the same point. The broadcast had this 'offensive' fact left out. I cannot imagine another religious discussion where this would happen, but it is perfectly normal when discussing Islam.

On that occasion I chose one case, but I could have chosen many others, such as the hundreds of Jews Mohammed beheaded with his own hand. Again, that's in the mainstream Islamic sources. I haven't made it up. It used to be a problem for Muslims to rationalise, but now there are people trying to imitate such behaviour in our societies it has become a problem for all of us, and I don't see why people in the free world should have to lie about what we read in historical texts.'

I've blogged from this Douglas Murray piece before and indeed from others by him. No doubt I'll post more by him in the future too.
