Jeremy Corbyn and Eastern European Communist regimes, what was the attraction

Jeremy Corbyn, or at least Labour Party spokesmen, are denying that there was any collusion between Comrade Corbyn and the Communist Czech regime during the Cold War.

Monkey Brains at http://isthebbcbiased.blogspot.co.uk/2018/02/nothing-to-see-here.html reminds me that Jeremy Corbyn took a motorbike holiday, with Diane Abbot, to Communist East Germany during the Cold War, quite an unusual holiday destination at the time.

Maybe an inquisitive BBC reporter might ask what attracted Jeremy Corbyn to holiday in the hard line Communist country. Why holiday in East Germany whilst the government there was imprisoning and murdering those caught fleeing to the West? What was he doing there really?

Of course the BBC functions as the propaganda arm of the Labour Party so no such questions will be asked of Jeremy Corbyn.

Will any interviewer of Jeremy Corbyn ask the questions? Or is the implied threat of retaliation by Jeremy Corbyn's "friends" too much of a deterrent?
