Labour anti-Semitism row: Corbyn faces criticism over Jewdas event per BBC News

The BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-43624231 on Jeremy Corbyn's choice of Jews to consort with makes interesting reading.

'Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has been criticised for attending an event organised by Jewdas - a left-wing Jewish group critical of more mainstream Jewish organisations.

It comes after Mr Corbyn promised "watertight" investigations into claims of anti-Semitism within his party.

One Labour MP called his actions "irresponsible and dangerous".

But a leading Corbyn supporter said his attendance at the event was "not as significant as it's being made out."

Jon Lansman, founder of Momentum, told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "It was his night off, he had nothing in his official diary, his office didn't know he was there."'

Not in his official diary? His office didn't know he was there. Is Jeremy Corbyn about to be seen as a liability by his party because of his actions? 

The rest of the BBC article plays down the type of comments made by the Jewdas group. After all the BBC are more interested in keeping the UK in the EU and having a socialist UK government than in fighting antisemitism. 'A leaked audio recording obtained by Guido reveals Corbyn was present at a Seder held by "Jewdas" in Islington, where guests shouted "f*ck capitalism" and booed the names of mainstream Jews. At the height of Labour's anti-Semitism scandal, Corbyn chose to mark Passover alongside a fringe group that despises and is despised by mainstream Jews.

• Jewdas describes itself as a "radical"group that "opposes capitalism" and wants to "overthrow the state"
• It has tweeted that "Israel is itself a steaming pile of sewage which needs to be properly disposed of"
• It is viciously critical of mainstream Jewish groups. Last week it attacked the Board of Deputies of British Jews and the Jewish Leadership Council response to the Labour anti-Semitism scandal as "playing a dangerous game with people's lives"

I find it hard to believe that Jeremy Corbyn is so stupid that he didn't realise how his attendance at the Jewdas event would look. 

I find it hard to believe that Jeremy Corbyn doesn't know the views of the Jewdas group, after the recent fuss over his choice of  Facebook groups anyone with half a brain would have done some due diligence. 

So it seems that either Jeremy Corbyn doesn't care what people think of the rather strange groups that he chooses to associate with, or maybe he calculates that there's more votes in being seen to be steadfastly anti Israel, anti capitalism, pro socialism and in being seen as standing up to the 'Jewish lobby'. As I've said before there are many many more Muslim than Jewish voters in Britain and and that does have implications for anti-Semitism.
