Female genital mutilation cases more than double in a year in UK per The Guardian

The Guardian manage to report https://www.theguardian.com/society/2018/nov/30/female-genital-mutilation-cases-more-than-double-in-a-year-in-UK on the rise in FGM in the UK.

'The number of girls in England who have experienced or are believed to be at risk of female genital mutilation (FGM) has more than doubled in a year, according to assessments by council social workers.

Analysis of government figures shows that FGM featured in 1,960 social work assessments in 2017-18 – more than twice the 970 cases reported in the previous year.

The figures were described as alarming by those working in the field, who said the increase was due mainly to better detection by social workers. Experts said the real incidence of FGM is likely to be far higher, however, as it remains a largely hidden crime.

The analysis, by the Local Government Association, also reveals that abuse of children linked to faith or belief – including witchcraft and spirit possession – has gone up by 12%.'

Whilst The Guardian can't mention Islam, the BBC don't seem to have reported this terrifying rise in FGM at all.

Man who dismissed Labour antisemitism allegations gets top role in dealing with it per The Jewish Chronicle

Another day, another Labour Party antisemitic problem.

'A man who said Labour members alleging antisemitism within the party should be suspended, has been elected to Labour's top disciplinary body dealing, with cases that included alleged antisemitism.

Stephen Marks, a member of the fringe, pro-Corbyn Jewish Voice for Labour group, was one of six candidates on a left-wing slate, agreed by Momentum and Campaign for Labour Party Democracy (CLPD), to have won places on Labour's national constitutional committee (NCC).

The NCC deals with disciplinary cases involving Labour members.

Momentum had confirmed it would support Mr Marks as a candidate – despite earlier claims that its founder Jon Lansman would block the endorsement of the JVL activist.'

Experts: Parliament Can't Force A Second Referendum per Guido Fawkes

This https://order-order.com/2018/11/27/experts-parliament-cant-force-second-referendum/ from Guido Fawkes misses, maybe deliberately, the obvious:

'Constitutional experts Vernon Bogdanor and Lord Kerslake both agree that there is no way for Parliament to force a second referendum without a cooperative executive.

Professor Bogdanor confirms that as the Withdrawal Agreement is a treaty, Parliament can either ratify it or not. "A referendum amendment would have no effect on its own, to have a second referendum you need legislation which in 2015 took seven months to get through Parliament."

Former Head of the Civil Service Lord Kerslake agrees, saying "there has to be, as Vernon says, legislation… the way forward has to come with the involvement and the agreement of Government."

The only scenarios that could happen are those that Number 10 would be willing to entertain…'

Theresa Remainer and Quisling May would be very happy to have a second referendum, so long as the Remoaners win it. To that end, if you think that the political class and the BBC were biased during the run up to the 2016 election, you ain't seen nothing yet!

Toddler among nine rescued from dinghy off Dover coast per BBC News

The BBC report https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-46356204 that:

'An 18-month-old child is among nine people rescued from a dinghy in the English Channel, the BBC understands.

A lifeboat was called at about 04:30 GMT after the 3m-long vessel was spotted by a fishing crew off Dover.

A Border Force boat picked up the suspected migrants and brought them to Dover at about 05:30 where they were handed over to immigration officials.

Some 123 people have reached the Kent coast so far this month, most claiming to be Iranian.'

Some might say that the ongoing invasion is picking up speed.

So long as the Remoaners win?

"Both the Remain campaign, and the Leave champai… campaign should jointly agree that this vote is final, doesn't matter how marginal it is, it's final. Once this is resolved then that's it for a generation."

So sayeth Tony Blair.

Isn't that what was happened in 2016? I thought plenty of people said that this was the decisive, once in a generation vote.

Trust me, any vote will only be final if the Remoaners win, otherwise there will be another referendum, and another, and another.

In rediscovered telegram, Himmler offers Jerusalem's mufti help against 'Jewish intruders' per The Times of Israel

Naziism linked to Arab Muslims, the BBC will run a mile from this historical discovery.

'A telegram from Heinrich Himmler to the grand mufti of Jerusalem has been found in the archives of Israel's National Library.

Believed to have been sent in 1943, it contains a promise by Hitler's deputy to Haj Amin al-Husseini that the German Reich will stand behind the Arabs of Palestine and support their struggle against "Jewish intruders."

Published on the library website on Wednesday, the telegraph notes that the struggle against world Jewry has been a principle of the German National Socialists from the start, and that the regime has always followed "with particular sympathy," the struggle of "freedom-loving Arabs," especially those in Palestine battling the Jews.

"The joint recognition of the enemy and the struggle together against it are what build the solid basis between the National Socialists of Greater Germany and freedom-loving Muslims of the world," Himmler wrote.'

Eight more 'migrants' found in dinghy off Kent coast per BBC News

This BBC report https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-46320413 doesn't include the word 'invasion'.

Little evidence 20mph speed limit reduces casualties, says report

This Guardian report https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/nov/23/little-evidence-20mph-speed-limit-cuts-casualties-says-uk-report says it all when you look at the first and last sentence:

'There is insufficient evidence that a 20mph speed limit has led to a significant reduction in the number of crashes and casualties in UK residential areas, a government-commissioned study has found.

...

Joshua Harris, the director of campaigns at the road safety charity Brake, said: "Breaking the speed limit is breaking the law and those who do so should be punished. We must make a success of 20mph limits, but to do so we need more enforcement, which is delivered consistently across the country."'

In other works, it doesn't matter if the 20mph limits make a difference so long as drivers are punished.

France's Macron speaks about an EU Army but the BBC News seem to have forgotten the sneering Nick Clegg when attacking any prospect of such a development

This BBC report https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-46254393 includes:

'France's President Emmanuel Macron has called for closer ties between his country and Germany, saying Europe "has the obligation not to let the world slip into chaos".

...

He also wants Germany's backing for a European Army, which he has said would reduce the bloc's dependence on the US... '

Will the EU fanatics at the BBC question Nick Clegg about his calling the idea of an EU Army' a dangerous fantasy'?

You can watch Nick Clegg here

Many might think that the dangerous fantasy wasn't being expressed by Nigel Farage but by Nick Clegg.

Come on, someone ask Nick Clegg about his comments from 2016.

Suspected migrants found on rocks at Folkestone per BBC News

This BBC report https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-46253019 uses the word 'migrants' but not with the preceding qualifier 'illegal' or the possible alternative word 'invader'.

As for the word 'suspected'?

Why wasn't this headline at the time, why isn't it headline news now?

This piece from the excellent Craig http://isthebbcbiased.blogspot.com/2018/11/had-you-heard-of-this.html should be a must read for every politician, journalist and citizen of the UK.

Here's the key part

'Nazir Afzal:..." back in 2008 the Home Office sent a circular to all police forces in the country saying "as far as these young girls who are being exploited in towns and cities, we believe that they've made an informed choice about their sexual behaviour and, therefore, it's not for you police officers to get involved in". That's the landscape coming from the top down in 2008. Rest assured, all agencies are going to listen to it. It only changed because of the work we did and the work the Times newspaper did in 2010-11. The fact that we were able to bring the prosecution in Rochdale led to this investigation in West Yorkshire opening...it  only opened in 2013. And the series of prosecutions that have followed indicate to me that the agencies are getting it right now but the reality, of course, is that we've lost a generation of young girls who have been left behind and abused."

So if Mr Afzal, who knows as much about this as anyone, is correct, then why hasn't this been picked up on by mainstream journalists? Why didn't this PM interview spark a nationwide clamour to investigate that 2008 Home Office circular, and the behaviour of the Home Office under Gordon Brown's government? Surely, if, as Mr Afzal alleges, it played a part in keeping the grooming gangs operating with impunity for a few years more then it's a massive scandal, isn't it?'

Seems like a scandal to me but the Labour Party's propaganda arm, the BBC, isn't going to in any way ask awkward questions to the Labour Party or indeed of any parts of the Muslim community.

Florida mid-terms: Democrat Andrew Gillum concedes to Ron DeSantis per BBC News

The BBC end this report https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-46250683 with:

'The recount has been controversial. Mr Trump and Republicans have claimed voter fraud without offering any evidence.

Mr Trump had also said there was "a lot of dishonesty" over contested votes. Again, he offered no evidence.'

Have the BBC really seen or heard of no evidence of voter fraud? Maybe take a look...

Is the BBC biased?: Emily Maitlis's question about democracy

Craig at Isthebbcbiased.blogspot.co.uk has a great spot http://isthebbcbiased.blogspot.com/2018/11/emily-maitliss-question-about-democracy.html from the BBC's Emily Maitlis:

'I'm going to say something really unpopular, which is that we keep on talking about, you know, the problem with democracy and the problem with the deficit, but at what point you to say, actually, democracy is not as important as the future economy and stability and prosperity of the country right now?'

Words fail me but I'm not really that shocked by the words of a BBCoid.

Rotherham child sexual abuse: Six men jailed per BBC News

The BBC reluctantly report https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-46222421 that

'Six men have been jailed for sexually exploiting young girls in Rotherham who were gang-raped and abused by them.

The men subjected the five girls to "degrading and violent" acts using drink, drugs and the "excitement of friendship" to lure them in.

One girl told a trial how she had sex with "at least 100 Asian men" by the time she was 16, while another described being passed around the gang.

They were sentenced to between 10 and 23 years at Sheffield Crown Court.

The men, who are all of British Pakistani heritage, targeted and groomed the girls over seven years.

The court heard they "destroyed" them and that their childhood had been taken from them.'

No mention of what motivated these men, that would be verboten.

Hidden in this BBC report

This BBC report https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-46219038 includes this:

'What do the currency strategists make of it?

Jane Foley, head of currency strategy at Rabobank, said the pound's plunge was "firmly tied" to the perception that Mrs May will have difficulty in pushing the Brexit plan through Parliament.

...

"A lack of Parliamentary approval for the deal or a hard Brexit would both weigh heavily on the pound. Any turn of events that could raise the risk of a general election would also punish the pound, given the risk of a market-unfriendly far-left government."'

'Any turn of events that could raise the risk of a general election would also punish the pound, given the risk of a market-unfriendly far-left government."' That's something that the BBC won't push pre a General Election.

Nick Clegg told us that the EU Army is a Dangerous Fantasy

During the EU referendum Nick Clegg told us that the EU Army is a Dangerous Fantasy.

https://youtu.be/4Ruu-4f6ugA

If the remain side had won the referendum then would the Brexit side now be allowed to call for a second referendum because the remain team had lied during the campaign? Of course not...

So was Nick Clegg lying in that debate, maybe to protect his EU pension, simply misinformed or careless as to what he said? Has the BBC asked Nick Clegg why he was so certain about there being no prospect of an EU Army? Of course not...

Doctor Who recap: series 37, episode six – Demons of the Punjab per The Guardian

The BBC's review of the latest SJW BBC Doctor Who https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2018/nov/11/doctor-who-recap-series-37-episode-six-demons-of-the-punjab is as I expected but it was the errata at the end of the review that caught my eye:

'This page was amended on 11 November 2018. An earlier version erroneously identified the religions of two characters.'

Since the only religions attributed to characters in this episode were Hinduism and Islam then did The Guardian really confuse the two? It's hard to make that mistake, pay attention The Guardian: on the BBC it's generally Hindu bad and Muslim good.

Heavy Gaza-Israel fire traded overnight per BBC News (Part 1)

The BBC have finally managed to report https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-46190571 on what's happening in Gaza and Israel, having waited until the Israelis react to months of attacks.

One part of the BBC report struck me as a fine example of bias by omission. It appears at the end of the BBC report and runs thus:

'Why are Israel and Hamas enemies?

Hamas won Palestinian elections in 2006 and reinforced its power in the Gaza Strip after ousting West Bank-based Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's rival Fatah faction in clashes the following year.

While Mr Abbas's umbrella Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) has signed peace accords with Israel, Hamas does not recognise Israel's right to exist and advocates the use of violence against it.

Israel, along with Egypt, has maintained a blockade of Gaza since about 2006 in order, they say, to stop attacks by militants.

Israel and Hamas have gone to war three times, and rocket-fire from Gaza and Israeli air strikes against militant targets are a regular occurrence.

Sunday night's incident comes after apparent progress in an Egyptian- and UN-brokered process to mediate after a series of escalations between the two sides in recent months.'

Did you spot that?

'Hamas does not recognise Israel's right to exist and advocates the use of violence against it.'

Nothing to do with Jew-hatred?

'In 2008, Imam Yousif al-Zahar of Hamas said in his sermon at the Katib Wilayat mosque in Gaza that "Jews are a people who cannot be trusted. They have been traitors to all agreements. Go back to history. Their fate is their vanishing."[175][330]

Another Hamas legislator and imam, Sheik Yunus al-Astal, discussed a Koranic verse suggesting that "suffering by fire is the Jews' destiny in this world and the next." He concluded "Therefore we are sure that the Holocaust is still to come upon the Jews."[175][330]

Following the rededication of the Hurva Synagogue in Jerusalem in March 2010, senior Hamas figure al-Zahar called on Palestinians everywhere to observe five minutes of silence "for Israel's disappearance and to identify with Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa mosque". He further stated that "Wherever you have been you've been sent to your destruction. You've killed and murdered your prophets and you have always dealt in loan-sharking and destruction. You've made a deal with the devil and with destruction itself – just like your synagogue."[331][332]

On August 10, 2012, Ahmad Bahr, Deputy Speaker of the Hamas Parliament, stated in a sermon that aired on Al-Aqsa TV:

If the enemy sets foot on a single square inch of Islamic land, Jihad becomes an individual duty, incumbent on every Muslim, male or female. A woman may set out [on Jihad] without her husband's permission, and a servant without his master's permission. Why? In order to annihilate those Jews. ... O Allah, destroy the Jews and their supporters. O Allah, destroy the Americans and their supporters. O Allah, count them one by one, and kill them all, without leaving a single one.[333][334][335][336]

In an interview with Al-Aqsa TV on September 12, 2012, Marwan Abu Ras, a Hamas MP, who is also a member of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, stated (as translated by MEMRI):

The Jews are behind each and every catastrophe on the face of the Earth. This is not open to debate. This is not a temporal thing, but goes back to days of yore. They concocted so many conspiracies and betrayed rulers and nations so many times that the people harbor hatred towards them. ... Throughout history – from Nebuchadnezzar until modern times. ... They slayed the prophets, and so on. ... Any catastrophe on the face of this Earth – the Jews must be behind it.[337]

On December 26, 2012, Senior Hamas official and Jerusalem bureau chief Ahmed Abu Haliba, called on "all Palestinian factions to resume suicide attacks ... deep inside the Zionist enemy" and said that "we must renew the resistance to occupation in any possible way, above all through armed resistance." Abu Haliba suggested the use of suicide bombings as a response to Israel's plans to build housing units in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.[338]

In an interview on Lebanese television on July 28, 2014, Hamas spokesman Osama Hamdan repeated the blood libel myth:

We all remember how the Jews used to slaughter Christians, in order to mix their blood in their holy matzos... It happened everywhere.[339]'

It's odd how the antisemitic, by at least one of the IHRA examples, BBC ignore antisemitism as a factor in Hamas's opposition to the existence of Israel.

Activist attended Labour conference while under investigation over hate post per The Jewish Chronicle

Another day, another Labour anti-Semitism story.

'A Labour activist who was being investigated by the party for alleged antisemitism was allowed to attend their conference in September.

Kayla Bibby, 33, who represented the Liverpool Riverside constituency at the event, posted an image on Facebook in March showing the Statue of Liberty being smothered by an alien with the Star of David on its back. She wrote below the image: "The most accurate photo I've seen all year!"

The image had been taken from a far-right website, Incogman, where it had been used to illustrate an article that portrayed Jews as "parasitic" and said they were to blame for "financial heists of entire nations".

Ms Bibby had been under investigation by the party for more than three months over the post when she attended the conference.'

UK economy grows at fastest rate since late 2016 per BBC News

The BBC report https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-46151172 on the positive news about the UK's economy with as many provisos as possible (my emboldening):

'The UK economy grew by 0.6% in the three months to September, with warm weather boosting consumer spending, the Office for National Statistics said.

The figure for the third quarter is in line with predictions from the Bank of England and other forecasters.

However, buoyant growth in July was offset by a slowdown in August and September.

It is the highest quarterly growth figure since the fourth quarter of 2016, when the economy grew 0.7%.

Analysts warned the economy had "little underlying momentum" and growth would decline in the final three months.

The ONS also issued a separate monthly figure for September, which, like the previous month, showed zero growth.'

Oddly the BBC don't find any space in their report comparing the UK's economic growth with that of the rest of the EU.

If you do the comparison then you'll discover that whilst the UK's GDP growth figures for Q3 show a near two year high of 0.6%, the stagnating Eurozone in Q3 posted growth of only 0.2%. Which means that Brexit Britain grew three times as fast as the rest of the EU.

I think it's pretty clear why the remoaners at the BBC wouldn't want to compare Brexit Britain with the EU. It also shows that the remoaners refrain that Britain has slumped to the bottom of the growth league is starting to look rather silly…

Labour snubs MP Luciana Berger over assault threat per The Jewish Chronicle

'The Labour leadership has failed to make any contact with Jewish Labour MP Luciana Berger — despite the announcement last week of a criminal investigation into violent antisemitic threats made against her.

The JC understands that neither Jeremy Corbyn nor any member of his senior team has offered support of any kind to Ms Berger after Cressida Dick, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, confirmed last Friday the start of a criminal probe into the threats that appeared in a dossier of abuse from Labour members.

In a series of potentially catastrophic events for Labour, it has emerged that party officials were fully aware of the threats made to Ms Berger — including the suggestion she was a "Zionist Extremist… about (to) get a good kicking" — for at least six months.

Despite the fact that Ms Berger has been a frequent target of extremists since she was elected Liverpool Wavertree MP in 2010, and that Labour MP Jo Cox was murdered by an extremist in 2016, Labour officials failed to alert Ms Berger or the police about the existence of threats now deemed serious enough for an investigation by Scotland Yard.

Sources close to Ms Berger say the conduct of the Labour leadership over this matter has left her dismayed, with a Labour spokesperson saying, "if someone feels they have been a victim of crime they should report it to the police in the usual way".

But a Labour MP told the JC that this was impossible: Ms Berger could not have reported the threat to the police because the Labour Party had refused to make her aware of it.'

Grenfell fire: When does causing offence become a crime? - BBC News

The BBC were obsessing https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-46112026 over the last few days over offence caused by burning an effigy (if you can have an effigy of a building rather than a person) of the Grenfell Tower.

Tasteless, yes but a hate crime? That would be my stance.

This year there were several incidents reported of effigies of Boris Johnson and President Donald Trump being burnt but I don't recall any complaint from the BBC. Likewise when effigies of Mrs Thatcher were burned following her death, the BBC and the British police weren't in the slightest bothered. A biased BBC and police?

Royal Mint rejected Roald Dahl coin over antisemitic views | Books per The Guardian

'Dahl told the New Statesman: "There is a trait in the Jewish character that does provoke animosity, maybe it's a kind of lack of generosity towards non-Jews. I mean, there's always a reason why anti-anything crops up anywhere; even a stinker like Hitler didn't just pick on them for no reason."

In an interview with the Independent in 1990, months before his death, he described himself as antisemitic and railed against the "Jewish-owned" media.

He told the publication: "It began in 1982 when the Israelis invaded Lebanon. They killed 22,000 civilians when they bombed Beirut. It was very much hushed up in the newspapers because they are primarily Jewish-owned …

"I'm certainly anti-Israeli and I've become antisemitic in as much as that you get a Jewish person in another country like England strongly supporting Zionism. I think they should see both sides. It's the same old thing: we all know about Jews and the rest of it. There aren't any non-Jewish publishers anywhere, they control the media – jolly clever thing to do – that's why the president of the United States has to sell all this stuff to Israel … "'

Labour group throws out Pittsburgh motion calling for 'eradication' of antisemitism per The Jewish Chronicle

'A Labour Party group has rejected a motion condemning the Pittsburgh synagogue attack.

Steve Cooke, secretary of Norton West branch in the Stockton North constituency, proposed the motion, expressing solidarity with the Jewish community and pledging that antisemitism should be "confronted and eradicated", with Labour leading the way.

Only one other member backed the motion and Mr Cooke said the leader of Stockton-on-Tees Council, Robert Cook, was among those who opposed it.

...

According to Mr Cooke, opponents of the motion had argued that there was too much focus on "antisemitism this, antisemitism that" suggesting that the text should not refer to antisemitism specifically, but racism in general. "I pointed out that the motion clearly expressed concern about racist hate crime more generally."

He claimed he had been accused "of trying to bring the party into disrepute by associating us with antisemitism" for proposing a motion that "would have strongly dissociated us from any form of hatred towards Jewish people and which would have shown how clear we were about confronting the evil of antisemitism".

Mr Cooke also claimed Stockton North Labour Party had previously voted down his attempts to set up antisemitism awareness training for local members. '

Statistics Authority chairman David Norgrove has previously written to the Labour Party over a "lack of published information on sources, assumptions and methods to support statements".

In February he wrote to the party over claims that Universal Credit would lead 40,000 children into poverty and, in August, Norgrove challenged a calculation that Labour's free bus travel policy could save young people up to £1000 a year.

The latest warning was connected to statements regarding Labour's Inclusive Funds Policy, which were found to be correct. However, the watchdog took issue with the lack of information surrounding the statistics.'

Suspect in Vandalism Attack on New York Synagogue Is Democrat Activist per Breitbart

'James Polite, the 26-year-old man who was arrested Friday for allegedly vandalizing a synagogue in Brooklyn Thursday, is a Democratic activist who once worked for New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, and also volunteered for Barack Obama.
The New York Times reported Saturday'

More here https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/11/03/suspect-in-vandalism-attack-on-new-york-synagogue-is-democrat-activist/ but obviously not on the BBC where getting the Democrat vote out means not a negative word about anyone connected with the Democrats.

Nuclear scientists take leap towards fusion power as they test revolutionary new energy generator

A fascinating article about nuclear fusion in The Mail https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6348885/Nuclear-scientists-leap-fusion-power-test-revolutionary-new-energy-generator.html but two things.

First what grouhdsy would the eco-warriors use to oppose nuclear fusion? Almost limitless, cheap power, is a dream for industrial societies but a large number of eco warriors don't really want clean energy they want the end of capitalism - watermelons in other words.

Secondly what did The Mail mean by this nonsense sentence:
'The most advanced state-funded project, called Iter, in the south of France, has Small town was hottest place in solar system Tom Whipple Science Editor been beset by rising costs and delays.'

October Surprise: U.S. Added More Than 1,000 Manufacturing Jobs a Day, Best Since 1998 per Breitbart

Breitbart https://www.breitbart.com/economy/2018/11/02/october-surprise-u-s-added-more-than-1000-manufacturing-jobs-a-day-best-since-1998/ report:

'Rumors of a slowdown in American manufacturing were greatly exaggerated.
The United States added 32,000 new manufacturing jobs in October, more than 1,000 every day, including holidays and weekends.  Twenty-one thousand of the new manufacturing goods were in durable goods manufacturing, including more than 10 thousand in transportation manufacturing. More than 6,000 new jobs were added in autos and auto parts. Nearly 5,000 jobs were added by makers of machinery.

October is not typically a strong month for manufacturing jobs. In fact, the U.S. has not created this many manufacturing jobs in October since 1998, according to Department of Labor data. Manufacturing was expected to grow by just 13,000 jobs.

October was a surprisingly strong month for jobs overall, with the economy adding 250,000 jobs. That far exceeded expectations of 190,000.'

Somehow I don't think that the BBC will report this news, after all there are mid-term elections to win for the Democratic Party.

38% Believe Corbyn is an Anti-Semite

Guido Fawkes reports https://order-order.com/2018/11/02/criminal-investigation-into-labour-anti-semitism-as-38-believe-corbyn-is-an-anti-semite/

'... a new Populus/BICOM poll found that 38% of Brits believe that Corbyn himself is anti-Semitic. Only 1 in 4 people agreed that he was a "committed campaigner against racism of all kinds, including antisemitism", while as few as 19% believed that he had "worked hard to deliver peace between Israel and the Palestinians". Almost double that number instead thought that he "only seems interested in talking to those organisations which have been deemed terrorists by the British Government, the EU and the US State Department". '

Only 38% of people think Jeremy Corbyn is antisemitic? What would persuade the other 62%, what evidence would they need?

Police probe into anti-Semitism in Labour - BBC News - One question arising

The BBC report https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-46070229

'Police have launched a criminal inquiry into allegations of anti-Semitic hate crimes within the Labour Party.

Met Police chief Cressida Dick told the BBC her officers were assessing online material because it appears "there may have been a crime committed".

It comes after LBC Radio obtained an internal Labour dossier detailing 45 cases, involving messages posted by party members on social media.

Ms Dick says the Met had a duty to assess the material and not dismiss it.

She told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that her officers were seeking advice from the Crown Prosecution Service.

But she insisted the Met was "not investigating" the Labour Party itself.

LBC handed the dossier to Ms Dick in an interview in September.

It had previously passed the leaked material to ex-police officer Mak Chishty in September, who said that 17 instances should have been reported to the police for investigation, and another four were potential race hate crimes.'

The question that I believe arises comes from this line:

'But she insisted the Met was "not investigating" the Labour Party itself.'

Why not?

BBC News

The BBC continually inform us that Brexit can't work so it's not a surprise that the BBC News Home page https://www.bbc.co.uk/news doesn't have an article about The Times's report that Theresa May has agreed a tentative post-Brexit deal with Brussels on financial services. Neither do the BBC report on their home news page that Sterling is up around 1.39% against the US Dollar today, as well as up over 0.5% against the Euro.

Why might the BBC want to keep any good economic news, or good Brexit news from the British people?

This evil, anti-Semitic attack is an assault on all of us. It is an assault on humanity.

"This evil, anti-Semitic attack is an assault on all of us. It is an assault on humanity. It must be confronted and condemned everywhere it rears its ugly head. We must stand with our Jewish brothers and sisters to defeat anti-Semitism and vanquish the forces of hate. Those seeking their destruction, we will seek their destruction."

Said by Jeremy Corbyn? Don't be ridiculous, he calls organisations dedicated to killing Jews his 'friends', stands at the graves of Islamist terrorists, appears on Iran's Press TV, and so on.

It was said by President Donald Trump which is why the BBC won't report his words and one of the reasons why the BBC exacerbates antisemitism.

Forget deserving issues and focus on basics, police told per BBC News

'Ms Thornton, the former head of the Thames Valley force who now chairs the National Police Chiefs' Council... highlighted the Law Commission's review into whether hate crime laws should be extended to cover offences motivated by hostility towards a victim's sex or age.

Ms Thornton said while "treating misogyny as a hate crime is a concern for some well-organised campaigning organisations" forces "do not have the resources to do everything".

She said: "I want us to solve more burglaries and bear down on violence before we make more records of incidents that are not crimes", adding she hoped the review "takes account of the pressure on forces before suggesting the law is changed".

Ms Thornton said historical investigations was "another example of issues that matter very much to some but they undoubtedly take resources away".

She told delegates: "While I understand those who have been harmed seek answers, I remain unconvinced that it is appropriate to commit significant resources investigating allegations against those who have died."'

Very sensible words, so ready yourself for the SJWs attacking Ms Thornton's words.
