Oy Vey David Cameron is Jewish. Well 1/32 Jewish anyway.

Politics Home reveals that David Cameron's great-great grandfather was Jewish, so he's one 32nd Jewish. Emile Levita, was a German émigré banker who became a British citizen in 1871.This should increase the 'everyone in power is a secret Zionist' nut jobs but will not mean he does anything concrete to support Israel against the powers that surround it.

  1. rather 1/8 Jewish. I'm surprised an adult such as yourself doesn't know how to calculate ancestry.
Seeing no other apparent Jewish surnmaes, you take his gr.gf @ 100% (immigrant). that makes his grandmother 1/2 Jewish.
    Her son,(his father) 1/4 Jewish,
    and David himself thereby 1/8.

  2. In fact it's a lot simpler than that; Jewishness descends along the female line and as David Cameron's mother was not Jewish, he's not Jewish. Mathematically I think you are right which makes me wonder why Politics Home allowed themselves to be corrected thus: 'UPDATE: My snout must have misheard. Turns out Cam's great-great grandfather was Jewish, so he's one 32nd Jewish, not one 16th. Emile Levita, was a German émigré banker who became a British citizen in 1871. (Thanks to @MarcusDysch)'
