BBC bias - Obama and McCain

Last week I blogged the BBC web headlines after Barack Obama's speech to the Democratic party convention.

In contrast to the uniformly positive coverage then, the BBC have a different tone today when reporting on John McCain's speech:
"McCain vows to fight to change US
John McCain promises "change is coming" as he accepts the Republican party's candidacy for the White House.
Analysis: McCain rides storms
Justin Webb: Disappoinment?
Text commentary
In pictures: Day Four
Delegate's diary: Job done
McCain accepts nomination"

No surprise to find the word "disappointment" associated with Justin Webb. I shall be examining his report later this morning.

As a reminder the BBC coverage of Barack Obama's speech ran:
"Obama launches historic campaign - Barack Obama promises to keep the American dream alive as he accepts his historic Democratic nomination for the White House.
Obama: US can be better
Justin Webb: Clever stuff
In pictures: Democrats in Denver
Obama speech - full text
Denver diary: Primetime policies
US election at-a-glance: 28 Aug"

Note Justin Webb's verdict "clever stuff"...
