Hamas and Israel

My blog has pointed out many times that Hamas does not want Israel to return to its 1967 borders but to destroy Israel. So I was not surprised to read MEMRI's transcript of an interview on Al-Quds TV (Lebanon) with Munir Al-Maqdah, head of the "Armed Struggle" Fatah militia in Lebanon. Here's an extract:

"The political platform and constitution of Fatah do not recognize the so-called State of Israel, let alone the Jewishness of this state. We do not recognize that artificial entity, the state of Israel, which sooner or later will be removed from the land of Palestine, Allah willing."

Could that be any plainer to the BBC, David Miliband, Barack Obama and others who try to persuade the world that Hamas just wants peace with Israel?
