What connects these people?

Marcus Agius, Chairman, Barclays PLC
Douglas J. Flint, Group Chairman, HSBC Holdings
John Kerr, Member, House of Lords; Deputy Chairman, Royal Dutch Shell
Richard Lambert, Independent Non-Executive Director, Ernst & Young
Peter Mandelson, Member, House of Lords; Chairman, Global Counsel
John Micklethwait, Editor-in-Chief, The Economist
George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer
Rory Stewart, Member of Parliament
J. Martin Taylor, Chairman, Syngenta International AG

They are all on the official list of attendees at this weekend's Bilderberg Group gathering. They will be joined by others including Henry Kissinger and Ying Fu the Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs.

According to InfoWars also attending are these gentlemen:
'#International Organizations
# Almunia, JoaquĆn, Vice President, European Commission
# Daele, Frans van, Chief of Staff to the President of the European Council
# Kroes, Neelie, Vice President, European Commission; Commissioner for Digital Agenda
# Lamy, Pascal, Director General, World Trade Organization
# Rompuy, Herman van, President, European Council
# Sheeran, Josette, Executive Director, United Nations World Food Programme
# Solana Madariaga, Javier, President, ESADEgeo Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics
# Trichet, Jean-Claude, President, European Central Bank
# Zoellick, Robert B., President, The World Bank Group'
I have no idea whether the Bilderberg Group is simply a collection of people, who meet once a year, mostly being 'people of influence in the fields of politics, banking, business, the military and news media.' I do know that 'The names of attendees are made available to the press, but the conferences are closed to the public and the media, and no press releases are issued.' Supporters of the grouping say that it is 'nothing more than a policy discussion forum and social club which only serves as a means to brainstorm, reach consensus, and create social cohesion within the power elite of Western European and North American nations, to better promote Atlanticism and a neoliberal form of globalization.'

Others claim that the Bilderberg Group are 'an all-powerful secret society fixing the fate of the world behind closed doors'.

I don't know which is true but I doubt that I will ever be deemed important or influential enough to be invited.

What does amuse/worry me are the various claims made about it, here's a few from the InfoWars site's comments:

All you need to tell yourself right now is that things are worse than you could possibly comprehend or imagine. It’s worse than your worst nightmare you have ever had. It’s like something right out of the most shocking movie you have ever seen. At the same time don’t let this overwhelm you and make you feel beat and hopeless. Tell yourself every single day just how beautiful life is and how important you are and how important every good person you know and who lives around you is. You need to keep your soul and spirit intact in a time of such evil and wickedness. It is very easy to lose hope and sight of what really matters in life when you are being completely bombarded like we are right now. Listen to “don’t worry be happy” at the start of every day and give yourself that lift and that energy that you need to get you through the day and continue your quest to truth and informing your friends and family.

We are living on an absolutely stunning beautiful planet with so much wonder and magnificence. We don’t even understand how lucky we are to live on this planet that we call Earth. Nature is such a beautiful gift that most people no longer appreciate since they have become a cog in the wheel of mass madness that we call society. Look at all the species of animals that live around you. Just think of how incredible and stunning these animals are. If you don’t care about yourself and your own future then at least do something for the sake of these incredible animals who depend on this planet just as much as we do. Don’t go around blaming the average person for being who they have become. Blame the society that intentionally moulded them this way. Blame the toxins they consume on a daily basis that affect their ability to think and harm their natural survival instincts.

I often have to ask myself if I am imagining most of this stuff because it is quite frankly very difficult to believe that you have been lied to all your life about a lot of things and that there is a group of evil mindless criminals out there who care nothing for your welfare and your future and they have plans to make your life and the lives of your children and your grand children and your grand children’s children a complete misery with no hope and no equality. If you have given up on your core beliefs and values and don’t care about your freedom then you have to ask what you want from life. A time is coming in the very near future when you will have to cast all your fears aside and stand up for what you believe in because if you don’t you might as well say goodbye to your own future and that of your children. It’s that simple.

“The Elite, the ‘Great Game’, & World War III”

“The elite is intent on conquering the world through the use of the abilities of the people of the United States. It was as far back as 1774 that Amschel Mayer Rothschild stated at a gathering of the twelve richest men of Prussia in Frankfurt: “Wars should be directed so that the nations on both sides should be further in our debt.” He further enunciated at the same meeting: “Panics and financial depressions would ultimately result in World Government, a new order of one world government.”

1st point—–> FACT: Bank of England owners started the Fed Rez. Who started the Bank of ENGLAND??? Where did that money come from??? THE BANK OF VATICAN (the WEALTHIEST bank/institution on the planet 10x over)

2nd point—-> When the NWO leader of man is announced….IT WILL be the POPE! AND it will be the antichrist. I know you non-bible types out their hate faith based discussion, but sorry the 1st amendment is still in effect. I mean no offense. Look i cant stand religion either because i too agree it has become an abomination and is as corrupt as our gov’t! I do believe in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and his Word, a KJV Bible. I believe in talking directly to Him just as I would talk to any of you over an adult beverage or cup of coffee. That is what “religion” really should be. Back to the vatican….go watch this documentary on youtube called the Last Pope by the user “UCAGIB.” It combines history, NWO, the vatican and everything that is going on today with a Biblical perspective and quotes scripture to every piece of history and what we see pending today. It is fascinating even if you dont believe in God’s Word, which you obviously have a right to. I will never belittle anyone for opposing beliefs and I would ask the same of all of you too. Regardless of our stance on the matter, it is quite an interesting, I believe accurate too, piece on history, today, and the future.

The AntiChrist will not be the Pope. The Pope will be the false prophet. Anyway, how do we know that someone from the Vatican ISN’T there? Someone “sick” flew in, had a red carpet rolled out from their private airplane and was put into an ambulence which then showed up at Bilderberg? Seems like their trying to hide someone VERY important.

I agree, 4ward… The AC will be a peaceful man promising to pay everyone’ bills and will be a charming, supernatural guy claiming to be Christ. And most of the world will believe his lies, especially when the world thinks the AC will be some monster-demon looking thing is coming to eat their children and burn their homes. This chick isn’t going for it. And the Pope is a fraud, which is sad; I know some pretty decent Catholic folks. Putting a man so high on a pedastal is blasphemy. IMHO. RW

go watch the docu i mentioned…the book of rev clearly shows that the pope will be antichrist.

Revelations says AC will come out of a whore (woman in prophecy = a church, a whore equals a dirty woman, against God Almighty, thus prophetic word “whore” = bad, dirty church) that has fornicated (dealings that God doesn’t approve) with the kings (prez, pm’s, dictators) of the earth, she will have a golden cup in her hands (every service in catholicism has the eucharist which involves every time a golden cup), adorned with precious jewels and stones (self explanatory, look at any photos out there), clothed in scarlet and purple (main colors of catholicism), the blood of many saints on her hands (some 500 million christians killed during the crusades for “reading their bibles”), sits on a city of seven hills (vatican city sits on seven hills), was a WORLD POWER–NO OTHER INSTITUTION COMES CLOSE TO THIS ONE– for 1269 days (in prophecy a day = year) and then loses it
(529-1798, clearly defined in video and history books), i could go on and on but dont take my word for it…go watch the documentary called “The Last Pope.”

The vatican is the ONLY religious institution that fits ALL of these requirements in the Book of Revelation….please research

Yup and Ms. Rodham is not on the list, but she is in Europe and even mainstream announced last night that she is asking to leave Suckretary of State to head the World fucking Bank…WTF???????? So to think that she is NOT at bildeberg is preposterous + if Obushma accepted her resignation she would not have to pay the Logan Act fine…AGAIN!…Maybe the Nazi Poop sits at the head of the table with Hillary tickling his holy balls!?!?!

It is inevitable that the Vatican Bank would be drawn into the global bankster’s scheme. Anywhere there is wealth, expect the schemers and opportunists to pounce. The mystery of who killed one Vatican bank official and hung his body from a London Bridge is open…Think it was called the “Blackfriar’s” Bridge. There was symbolism in that act. Someone was telling tales out of school–about 25 years ago, I believe it was–and paid the ultimate price.

But the Pope and his Cardinals are ultimately responsible for what goes on during their watch. They can’t claim ignorance forever.

The Bilderberg Group 2010 meeting in Sitges, Spain

The Bilderberg Group fascinates me, part of me thinks it is probably just innocent politicians, business leaders and others meeting to discuss various matters of interst but another part of me thinks there must be more to it than that and anything that involves Peter Mandelson must be suspicious! Faustie's Blog has some interesting reportage on the recent Bilderberg meeting at Sitges. Here's some video from that blog...
'Dr John Coleman (author, constitutional lawyer, historian, and Middle East specialist) talks to Alex Jones about the Bilderberg Group and Club of Rome (Committee of 300), which runs the world. This club comprises the world's richest 300 families.'

As Fuasty wrote: 'Maybe EU states will take van Rompuy’s debut “first year of Global Governance” speech seriously, now that they know he’s a member of a secret and subversive group, whose goal is to create a one world system of control under corporate interests.'

Of course
'Those who run Bilderberg's annual four-day meetings, and some of the people who have been to them, insist that there is nothing sinister going on. The official line is that the meetings are no more than useful forums, talking shops for prominent people from various influential spheres (politics, business, royalty ... ) to chew the fat about big issues. And the only reason they are so secretive about what exactly goes on is to facilitate vibrant, uninhibited informal discussion.'

The Bilderberg Group are meeting

Shh you must read this article at a whisper.......

The Times report:
"Don’t tell anyone, don’t breathe a word, but the world’s most powerful men are meeting secretly again to save the planet from economic catastrophe. Oh, and their address, should you want to send them your opinions, is: c/o Nafsika Astir Palace Hotel, Apollonos Avenue 40, 16671 Vouliagmeni, Greece.

Bed space is a bit tight there for the next two days while the Bilderberg illuminati hold their private conclave in the five-star Greek hotel. Every year since 1954 a club of about 130 senior or up-and-coming politicians gather at the fireside of a secluded hotel with top bankers and a sprinkling of royalty to discuss burning issues, to trade confidences and just stay abreast of the I-know-something-you-don’t-know circuit. No lists of participants are disclosed, no press conferences are held; spill the beans and you’re out of the magic circle.

...

Since Bilderberg does not officially exist, it cannot deny anything and is therefore manna from heaven for the conspiracy theorist. Eurosceptics are convinced that the future development of the European Union was plotted here — EU commissioners have always been welcomed into the coven, with Peter “We are intensely relaxed about people getting filthy rich” Mandelson a particular favourite. Margaret Thatcher, it is said, was a shy debutante at a Bilderberg meeting in 1975.

Jim Tucker, veteran stalker of the Bilderberg club meetings, claims that Mrs Thatcher was ordered “to dismantle British sovereignty, but she said, ‘no way’, so they had her sacked”. Left-wing conspiracy theorists believe that Bilderbergers form a capitalist nucleus, and there is a germ of truth in this. The meetings were started in the Netherlands, in the Hotel de Bilderberg, near Arnhem, by the Polish exile Joseph Retinger. He was worried about growing anti-Americanism and the advance of Communism in Western Europe. Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands agreed to sponsor the idea, the head of the Central Intelligence Agency, Walter Bedell Smith, threw his weight behind it and so did the White House.

The Bilderberg consensus is that national problems are best solved by an internationally oriented elite, that a global network of decision-makers should have a common language and that the boundaries are fluid between the monied and the political classes.

And so there has been a natural bias towards inviting conservatives and market liberals. The only socialists invited are those who “understand money”.

Ed Balls has taken part and the most indiscreet Bilderberger of all time was Denis Healey, the former Labour Chancellor and fierce Atlanticist.

“To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair,” Lord Healey told the author Jon Ronson for his book Them: Adventures with Extremists. “Those of us in Bilderberg felt we couldn’t go on for ever fighting one another for nothing. So we felt that a single community throughout the world would be a good thing.”

Another way of viewing the club is that of Metropolitan Seraphim, the bishop of Piraeus, who said that the Bilderbergers represented a “criminal cabal of world Zionism and its efforts to set up a cruel world dictatorship under the headship of Lucifer”. This line is quite common on the blogosphere, where the club’s secrecy is taken as evidence of evil intentions.

Whether Lucifer will be down there on the sun-loungers remains to be seen. But what we have been able to establish from a World Bank spokesman, Alexis O’Brien, is that the organisation’s president, Robert Zoellick, will be in Athens on unspecified business on May 14. And that US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner’s public schedule is mysteriously empty for the next two days. Jo Ackermann, head of Deutsche Bank, will be travelling “somewhere in Europe”. Jean-Claude Trichet, head of the European Central Bank, will not be around until the end of the week.

You get the drift. Something is going on. If only somebody would let us in on the secret. "

The Guardian have sent Charlie Skelton to report on the meeting:
"You won't have read about it. You won't have seen a guest list, you won't see photographs of it. It isn't happening. It doesn't exist. I'm flying out to Athens for no reason at all. To have a holiday I don't deserve and can't really afford. Maybe catch a little sunstroke, grab some food poisoning, and come home. Pointless.

Unless, of course, the rumours are true. Unless, as a handful of people are saying, this weekend is Bilderberg. The yearly alignment of the distant stars that shape our destiny. A long weekend at a luxury hotel, where the world's elite get to shake hands, clink glasses, fine-tune their global agenda and squabble over who gets the best sun loungers. I'm guessing that Henry Kissinger brings his own, has it helicoptered in and guarded 24/7 by a CIA special ops team.

If it's happening at all, Kissinger will be here. David Rockefeller will be here. Presidents of banks, and chairmen of boards. The Ben Bernankes and Condoleezza Rices of this world. Heads of oil companies, media magnates, the Queen of the Netherlands and Peter Mandelson. Probably Ben Bernanke, possibly David Cameron. Politicians and financiers from all five corners of the globe (don't let them tell you there are four). And me........"
This being The Guardian there is a lot of verbiage and you can read more here and here. I assume that Charlie Skelton will be wittering away for some days yet, but actually writing nothing much of interest.

If you want a conspiracy theory view then take a read of Global Research's piece entitled "Leaked Agenda: Bilderberg Group Plans Economic Depression".

If you want to know absolutely nothing about the Bilderberg Group then go to the BBC news website where the top search returned is for the Leeds band called The Bilderberg Group and the last news mention for the Bilderberg Group is from September 2005 and the piece ends:
"This has led to accusations that the group pushes its favoured politicians into high office. But Viscount Davignon says his steering committee are simply excellent talent spotters. The steering committee "does its best assessment of who are the bright new boys or girls in the beginning phase of their career who would like to get known."

"It's not a total accident, but it's not a forecast and if they go places it's not because of Bilderberg, it's because of themselves," Viscount Davignon says.

But its critics say Bilderberg's selection process gives an extra boost to aspiring politicians whose views are friendly to big business. None of this, however, is easy to prove - or disprove.

Observers like Will Hutton argue that such private networks have both good and bad sides. They are unaccountable to voters but, at the same time, they do keep the international system functioning. And there are limits to their power - a point which Bilderberg chairman was keen to stress, "When people say this is a secret government of the world I say that if we were a secret government of the world we should be bloody ashamed of ourselves."

Informal and private networks like Bilderberg have helped to oil the wheels of global politics and globalisation for the past half a century. In the eyes of critics they have undermined democracy, but their supporters believe they are crucial to modern democracy's success. And so long as business and politics remain mutually dependent, they will continue to thrive."
