Jeremy Corbyn showing even less sense of rhythm than Theresa May did the other week. I wonder if Have I Got News For You will show the video and ridicule Jeremy Corbyn as they did Theresa May? Somehow I think not.

The BBC protecting Jeremy Corbyn as usual

This BBC report hidden away on the BBC's Technology pages starts thus:

'Facebook has uncovered and removed dozens of pages, accounts and groups linked to Iran that the firm says coordinated "inauthentic behaviour", targeting people in the US and UK.

The affected posts focused on divisive topics such as race relations, opposition to President Donald Trump and immigration, it said.'

Not a mention of Jeremy Corbyn, yet elsewhere on the web we can read that:

'Facebook has deleted a number of Iranian accounts posing as Britons that spread pro Jeremy Corbyn posts.

The accounts formed part of a wider “cluster” of accounts posing as grassroots US or UK activists to post about politically divisive topics like racism, opposition to the government and immigration, the company said on Friday.
...

It is the second batch of Iranian linked accounts to be purged from the platform this year. In August, Facebook removed hundreds of pages falsely posing as news organisations. Facebook users in the US, UK, Latin America and the Middle East were targeted by Iran state operation which used a network of fake news sites and fake accounts to promote political narratives with Iranian interests.

The accounts shared anti-Saudi, anti-Israeli and pro-Palestinian themes as well as support for Pro Iran US policies like the US/Iran nuclear deal.'

So why are the BBC deliberately not mentioning the pro-Jeremy Corbyn and anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian themes? I think we know the reasons and the BBC disgust me.

The BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-politics-parliaments-43783921 soto voce that:

'Jeremy Corbyn asks about the destruction of the landing cards of "a generation of Commonwealth citizens". This was carried out by the Home Office in 2010, when Theresa May was home secretary.

The prime minister says "the decision was taken in 2009 under a Labour government".'

Oh dear, if true that does destroy the Labour/BBC attack line. 

The people who voted Brexit didn't know that meant leaving The Single Market

The remoaners including the BBC are pushing the lie that voters didn't know that a vote for Brexit meant leaving the Single Market. Apparently this was kept secret from the voters. 

Watch this from one interview with David Cameron before the referendum, he wasn't exactly hiding that a vote for Brexit meant leaving the Single Market. 

Somehow I doubt that the existence of evidence such as this will stop remoaners and the BBC from continuing to push their lies.

Similarly to my last post, if this had been a Conservative politician making such a fool of themselves then this would be repeated again and again on the BBC's various News and satirical programmes but as this was the Labour Party leader, that 'nice' Jeremy Corbyn, not a word. 

The BBC's bias disgusts me.

If this had been a Conservative politician making such a fool of themselves then this would be repeated again and again on BBC topical news quizzes and other satirical programmes. However as it's a gaffe by a Labour politician, the BBC really aren't interested.

The gender pay gap as misrepresented by the BBC

The gender pay gap is one of the BBC's favourite hobby horses and they are off riding that toy animal for all its worth today.

'UK companies are rushing to submit their gender pay figures ahead of Wednesday's midnight deadline.

By 11:00 BST, 9,053 companies had done so, with more than 1,000 companies reporting in the last day alone.

Firms with more than 250 staff must state the average difference between male and female employees.

Of those that have published data, 78% pay men more than women, 13% pay women more and 8% said they had no gender pay gap, based on the median measure.

One of the biggest names among the worst offenders so far is Ryanair, which reported a 71.8% gender pay gap.'

That looks serious, but then if I turn to the ONS report then I read this:

'It should be noted that the gender pay gap figures presented in this bulletin do not show differences in rates of pay for comparable jobs, as they are affected by factors such as the proportion of men and women working part-time or in different occupations. For example, a higher proportion of women work in occupations such as administration and caring, which tend to offer lower salaries.'

Shouldn't the BBC be putting that information front and centre or would it rather misrepresent the truth in the chase foir headlines?

Maybe the BBC should precis the information to be found here before constructing their next sensationalist headline.

Jeremy Corbyn, the Labour Party and anti-semitism

That Jeremy Corbyn has a problem with Israel has been clear for years, that he had no problem calling virulent anti-Semites 'friends' likewise, but that he was himself freely associated with anti-Smites was less clear - until now.

The recent revelations that he was a member of five Facebook groups where anti-Semites posted nasty anti-Jew comments should be headline news but the BBC are still minimising their reporting of this story, for two reasons: first because they want a Labour government as soon as possible (partly to end Brexit) and secondly because the BBC itself indulges anti-Semites by regularly vilifying Israel and by indulging the Muslims and anti-Semites who hate Jews.

There's a line in Ian Fleming's Goldfinger where Auric Goldfinger says of James Bond's habit of appearing in his vicinity "Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it’s enemy action." Jeremy Corbyn has now been found to be a member of five Facebook groups where anti-Semitic sentiments have been freely expressed. It seems that Jeremy Corbyn joined these groups of his own free will and was a member of some for years. Guido Fawkes here and here has the detail. So is it time to conclude that Jeremy Corbyn is an enemy of Jews?

We keep being told that Jeremy Corbyn is a man of principle and a kindly old chap too. It seems that the truth is at variance with those claims.

Amount of donation or nature and value if donation in kind: interest free, unsecured loan of £50,000 towards my campaign for leadership of the Labour Party. This loan is for an indefinite period.

My definition of a loan would be an amount of money borrowed from a bank (or elsewhere), that has to be repaid, usually with an extra amount or money paid as a charge (interest) for borrowing.

This 'loan' to Jeremy Corbyn however is interest free and for an indefinite period, isn't that a donation?

I wonder if the BBC would be interested in pursuing this matter.  I'd say that they would be about as likely to investigate this as they were about the Labour Party's Co-op bank overdraft facility. Remember that for the BBC nothing must be allowed to get in the way of a Labour Party win at the next general election.

Are protecting young immigrants, aka "Dreamers", a moral imperative or a “critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success” ?

'The Center For American Progress (CAP) Action Fund circulated a memo on Monday calling illegal immigrants brought here at a young age — so-called “Dreamers” — a “critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success.”

The memo, co-authored by former Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri, was sent around to allies calling on Democrats to “refuse to offer any votes for Republican spending bills that do not offer a fix for Dreamers and instead appropriate funds to deport them.”

President Donald Trump’s administration moved to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy in September, which former President Barack Obama instituted through executive order to keep immigrants who came here as children from being deported.

 “The fight to protect Dreamers is not only a moral imperative, it is also a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success,” reads Palmieri’s memo, obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“If Democrats don’t try to do everything in their power to defend Dreamers, that will jeopardize Democrats’ electoral chances in 2018 and beyond,” reads the memo. “In short, the next few weeks will tell us a lot about the Democratic Party and its long-term electoral prospects.”'

This story, reported by The Daily Caller, received no mainstream media, for which you can read left-wing, anti-President Trump and pro-US Democrat Party media, coverage. 

There's certainly been nothing about this on the President Trump hating BBC, who are still hurting over the defeat of Hillary Clinton in the last Presidential election.

An impartial news reporting organisation would report such a memo coming to light but the BBC is less interested in facts than advancing their narrative.

The BBC have '10 charts that show why the NHS is in trouble', can you guess what word you won't find in the 10 charts? Yes, immigration...

The BBC do report that:

'4. The UK's population is ageing

The ageing population is certainly a major factor - and it's one that all health systems in the world are struggling with. Medical advances have meant that people are living longer. When the NHS was created, life expectancy was 13 years shorter than it is now.'

But immigration is not a factor apparently, which seems odd to me.

Mind you I was slightly shocked to see the BBC report these two facts:

 Don't expect any BBC interviewers to raise these facts with their friends from the Labour Party though.

The BBC hiding inconvenient facts from the British public

The BBC are headlining the news that:

'John Worboys, thought to be one of the UK's most prolific rapists, is to be freed from jail.

The black-cab driver is believed to have carried out more than 100 rapes and sexual assaults on women in London between 2002 and 2008.

The 60-year-old gave his victims drug-laced Champagne before attacking them in the back of his cab.

In 2009, he was convicted at Croydon Crown Court of 19 offences and ordered to serve at least eight years in jail.

The following year police said a number of women had come forward since he was found guilty, and that his alleged victims now numbered more than 100.'

What the BBC don't find the space to report is that:

'A huge scandal is breaking over how the inexplicable decision has been made to release serial rapist John Worboys from prison. Worboys was convicted of one rape, five sexual assaults and 12 charges of drugging women, before 75 further women came forward with complaints against him. The Director of Public Prosecutions decided that because Worboys had been given a life sentence, he should not be prosecuted for the further cases. If he had been, there is no way he would be being released from prison. The DPP at the time? Keir Starmer… Huge questions to answer here…'

Thanks to Guido Fawkes for that information.

Now why would the BBC not be reporting the involvement, or rather otherwise, of Keir Starmer? If it had been a now senior Conservative politician who had been the then DPP, then the BBC would be headlining this fact and asking awkward and probing questions. However as it is a senior Labour politician, the BBC will say nothing. The BBC is little more than the propaganda arm of the Labour Party, they disgust me. 

The HMS Queen Elizabeth leak

The BBC report that:

'According to the Sun newspaper, HMS Queen Elizabeth has been taking on up to 200 litres of sea water every hour because of the fault.

BBC defence correspondent Jonathan Beale said the problem was "highly embarrassing" for the Royal Navy and just one of a number of snags still to be rectified.'

200 litres an hour, is that a lot? I've just turned on my kitchen tap, it filled a 1 litre jug in just under 10 seconds. That's a rate of 360 litres per hour, almost double the rate of the leak into the HMS Queen Elizabeth. This doesn't seem a lot of water.

I had a look on Amazon UK for bilge pumps, this is a link to a 12V bilge pump that claims to clear 1100 Gallons per hour (that's approximately 5,000 litres per hour). This bilge pump costs £13.49 with free delivery and is in stock. So a £13.49 bilge pump would clear the leak operating at 7.2% capacity. This leak really doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

Also surely the whole point of sea trials is to find issues and fix them. This leak seems like a small issue that has been identified and will be fixed but in the meantime will hardly affect the ship's ability to operate.


So did nobody at the BBC do the maths to see whether this was a serious problem, or did they just jump to report something that they hoped would embarrass the Conservative government and denigrate the Country?

The BBC hiding any good economic news

Manufacturing order books were close to a 30 year high in the three months to December, according to the latest monthly CBI Industrial Trends Survey.

In detail:

• 28% of manufacturers reported total order books to be above normal, at the +17% level last seen in August 1988
• 28% of firms said their export order books were above normal, at +16% which is well above the long-run average of -18%
• 42% of businesses said the volume of output over the past three months was up and 11% said it was down, giving a rounded balance of +30% above the long-run average of +4%
• 29% of companies expect average selling prices to increase in the coming three months, with 6% predicting a decline, giving a balance of +23%

In addition the CBI’s Employment Trends Survey of 299 firms employing around 1 million people found that 51% of firms across the UK will grow their workforce in the year ahead, with confidence highest amongst small and mid-sized firms (58%). The majority (52%) of firms aim to raise pay for their employees in line with or above inflation in the coming year.


So I looked on the BBC website for their coverage of this news. Nothing on the BBC news home page, nothing  on their business news home page

So I searched the BBC site for CBI Industrial Trends:

The top three pages returned aren't the most recent but rather they are the most negative pages returned. There are some positive returns but you have to page down for them. There is no page returned by the search for the current report, the latest being from April 2017.

Could the BBC really be trying to minimise coverage of good economic news, despite Brexit?

Or might it be that the BBC's search facility is just crap?

When a piece of economic news is worth a place on the BBC's news front page and when it isn't

Last month this BBC piece about a fall in UK retail sales was deemed worthy of a place on the BBC news front page.

Today a piece about UK government borrowing being at its lowest for 10 years is not deemed newsworthy enough for that and so one has to go to the business home page in order to find it.

Bad economic news under a Conservative government = Front page news.

Good economic news under a Conservative government = Not front page news.

It's hard to see why this is the case, other than becasue the BBC is little better than the Labour Party's propaganda arm and is institutionally biased against the Conservative party.

Acknowledging attacks on Israel, albeit only in passing, the BBC manage to mention that these attacks using vehicles started in Israel:

But then the BBC list just the attacks in Europe:

Something you won't hear on the BBC

Maajid Nawaz on LBC expressing views on Muslim grooming gangs that means he won't ever get a job with the BBC.

'During this powerful take, Maajid Nawaz points out the uncomfortable truth about grooming gangs in the UK that others have been too afraid to discuss.

The LBC presenter was giving his epic reaction to the conviction of 17 men and one woman for abusing girls in Newcastle and Gateshead.

The 18-strong gang prosecuted were from the Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Indian, Iraqi, Iranian and Turkish communities and mainly British-born.

This wasn’t the first incident in the UK - since 2011 groups of men have been convicted for organised sex grooming cases in 16 towns and cities.

And, in all but two of those cases, most were Muslim men of south Asian origin.

“They were men like me from my community,” Maajid said during his scathing take.

“And in all but three the victims were white teenage girls. That is the truth, and what I’m saying is so uncomfortable that we’ve been ignoring it for years.

“As a result of ignoring it this problem has been growing and growing to a point where it now has led to racial tensions.”

He continued: “We haven’t been speaking about it, what did you expect?

“The alternative to speaking about problems is violence, the alternative to addressing things with facts and truth is post-truth and alternative facts.”

Maajid finished: “What’s more important? Protecting these young girls, children, from being plied with drugs and raped.

“That’s what is more important.”'

 Not the BBC approved line at all.

The BBC hit new lows in this report on events in Paris

Not only does this BBC report start with the, usual for the BBC, phrased line:

'A car has struck a group of soldiers in Paris, injuring six, two seriously, police say.' 

Those cars can be so dangerous, best ban them. But further down the report is this sub-header:

Car 'lay in wait'

And then the follow-up lines:

'He said a vehicle had been waiting in the road for the soldiers to emerge as they came on duty.

"It was a BMW which accelerated very quickly the moment they came out."'

Do the BBC do this deliberately? What do they hope to gain by obfuscating what happened?

Obviously we don't know what happened in this incident. But I know what the BBC are hoping wasn't the cause.

Not answering the question 18 times. Imagine if it was President Donald Trump who had done this rather than Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Imagine that President Donald Trump or Prime Minister Theresa May failed to answer a simple question 18 times. The BBC would be headlining this news, playing excerpts from the video over and over again. However as it was the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, not a word on the BBC, because Justin Trudeau is a BBC favourite, along with Hillary Clinton and any Labour politician that they think might win an election for the UK Labour Party.



I see sheer arrogance in the way that Prime Minister Trudeau doesn't answer the question, avoiding doing so 18 times. Will anyone actually hold him to account with not cooperating with the Canadian House of Commons. It certainly won't be the BBC.
