Watching especially from around 3:40 to hear Ms Abbott thrashing around trying to appear in control of her brief whilst clearly not. Do you think that she'd read Toby Harris's report? If she had, do you think she'd understood it? Is Diane Abbott as stupid as she seems? Is that possible?
As I've said before, politicians can survive being hated but can't survive for long as a figure of fun. Ms Abbott is a figure of fun and for good reasons. However the BBC like her because she's black, a woman and left-wing, and Jeremy Corbyn likes her because...

Watching Diane Abbott thrashing around trying to form a coherent thought would be entertaining were she not a possible future Home Secretary or worse.

If you want to know what Jeremy Corbyn really plans for Britain should become Prime Minister just look at Venezuela:
'One of the reasons that Corbyn was prepared to turn a blind
eye to the growing signs of authoritarianism under Chavez was because he

believed in the whole project. The imagined utopian end must have
seemed, to Corbyn, to

hard-left ideology that he has always espoused. So anybody who wants to
know what Britain might be like under Corbyn would do well to study the

Jeremy Corbyn seems to have a lot more in common with Dianne Abbott than I thought, an inability to remember pertinent figures on the day of a policy launch. Emma Barnett on the BBC's Woman's Hour shows that he just didn't know the costs of the Labour Party's new Childcare programme on the morning of its launch.

Jeremy Corbyn really doesn't like being pushed for an answer does he? There's a real irritation and annoyance in his voice that really offers an insite into his psyche, I wonder how one could get Jeremy Corbyn really angry?
What's concerning is that it is not impossible that Jeremy Corbyn could be the UK's next Prime Minister unless the Conservative Party win a majority at the upcoming general election.
Jeremy Corbyn, John McDonnell and Dianne Abbott leading a UK government, what a deeply depressing prospect. The country would be broke and broken before the time of the next general election.
I am no fan of Theresa May and the Conservative Party she leads but faced with the alternative of a Jeremy Corbyn lead Labour government, I will reluctantly have to vote Conservative on Thursday week.
Obviously the answer to that question is yes. I can think of few people better suited to be Labour's spokesperson on Home Affairs than Diane Abbott. She represents the current Labour Party so well.

'The BBC Trust has ruled
that Labour MP Diane Abbott should not have been paid for recent
appearances on flagship political programme This Week.
Ms Abbott, a regular guest with Tory MP Michael Portillo and presenter Andrew Neil, has been paid thousands in appearance fees.
The BBC claimed rules banning payments to MPs representing
their parties did not apply as This Week was not a "normal" political
show.
But this was rejected by the Trust.
The Trust also ruled the MP's appearances had been "too frequent" since she became a shadow minister.
In January crossbench peer Lord Laird complained that Ms
Abbott had received five payments of £839 and one of £869 for
appearances on This Week.
The BBC's editorial guidelines state that MPs should not be
paid for appearances where they are "speaking as a member of their party
or expressing political views".
The guidelines allow for the payment of a realistic
"disturbance fee" to cover the time and inconvenience i
involved in
appearing in a broadcast but Lord Laird argued that the payments to Ms
Abbott went beyond this.'
Well that's settled then? Well no, not really as the last line of the report makes clear:
'A spokeswoman for BBC News said that they "note the findings" of the Trust.'
Ah the BBC, will they ignore the ruling of the BBC Trust? After all it is a Labour shadow minister whose nose needs to be kept in the public trough.
How odd, the BBC are usually very interested in any MP or councillor who has any Nazi links, however tenuous. Remember the furore the BBC generated when Aiden Burley dressed as a Nazi at a stag party. Strangely they seem to have completely ignored the news that a Labour councillor in Milton Keynes Margaret Burke was formerly a co-leader of the city’s November 9th Society. Then she was called Margaret Flynn, and apparently she and her former husband Terry recruited a 50-strong army of skinheads to daub buildings with swastikas and hand out racist literature.
Thanks to Guido Fawkes we can see that apparently doughty anti-racism campaigner Diane Abbott has campaigned with ex-Nazi Margaret Burke, what has Diane Abbott had to say re this matter?
The Mail believe so, with a story that begins thus:
'Ed Miliband faced new calls to rebuke Labour frontbencher Diane Abbott last night after she told a young, Tory-voting black graduate who asked her for work that she wasn’t doing the ‘black thing’ and should ‘go and work for a white Conservative’ instead.'
Is Diane Abbot really a racist? I am not sure.
Does Diane Abbott often seem to have an unfortunate negative attitude to anyone not in her Labour tribe? Yes.
