'The wraps are officially off the soft-top version of Mercedes’ SLS AMG supercar – and as expected, it has lost the famous upward-opening gullwing doors, opting instead for traditionally hinged units.'

Well it would have to, wouldn't it? How would you fit gullwing doors to a convertible?

That cannot be easy to drive in a straight line

I know its a Mercedes and they are built like tanks but I would say that one needs some work on the left front wheel...

The half price supercar?

Auto Express announce that:

"It’s official! Mercedes has finally confirmed its plans to launch a new AMG supercar at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

The all-new machine, called the Mercedes SLS AMG is said to represents ultimate in AMG driving dynamics and performance, according to company chairman Volker Mornhinweg."

There then follows the facts and figures that I find interesting but I realise make most people's eyes glaze over.

What is interesting is this :

"A source close to the project suggested drivers could expect to pay around 150,000 euros - less than half the price of the outgoing SLR. "

You know the economy is in bad shape when even Mercedes have to cut what they can charge for a supercar by over 50%.
