Kaley Cuoco regrets wearing quite such a short dress... the dress tugging and cushion placement is quite a clue!

At last a political movement that I can get behind, or in front of... #freethenipple - NSFW A Rule 5 Post

The Women of Kvenn, Iceland, want to #freethenipple

Female vs Male Logic

Woman: Do you drink beer?
Man: Yes

Woman: How many beers a day?
Man: Usually about 3

Woman: How much do you pay per beer?
Man: $5.00 which includes a tip
(This is where it gets scary !)

Woman: And how long have you been drinking?
Man: About 20 years, I suppose

Woman: So a beer costs $5 and you have 3 beers a day which puts your spending each month at $450. In one year, it would be approximately $5400 correct?
Man: Correct

Woman: If in 1 year you spend $5400, not accounting for inflation, the past 20 years puts your spending at $108,000, correct?
Man: Correct

Woman: Do you know that if you didn't drink so much beer, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting for compound interest for the past 20 years, you could have now bought a Ferrari?

Man: Do you drink beer?
Woman: No
Man: Where's your Ferrari?

Thanks to Orbitup for the explanation.

Invite me next time Nigella, I like the sound of your dress code...

The Mandrake column in today's Telegraph reports that Nigella Lawson's dinner parties are much more relaxed post her separation from Charles Saatchi.

"... I realised there was nobody coming I would be uncomfortable in front of just wearing socks and leggings, and no make-up."

Well Nigella, any time you want to invite me, I'll join you in wearing just socks and leggings, no make-up... The very thought!

The above two photos are the safest that I could post having Googled "Nigella Lawson topless" but then the others may be fakes... Shame!

Male vs Female in sport

The other day I heard some women complaining about sexism in sports coverage and today I was told, contrary to the demonstrable facts, that 'women are NOT the weaker sex' - so this post is for @SexismInSports.

I thought I'd show the current world records for Olympic athletics events - with the addition of the mile because it's my favourite event and of historic importance, and the taking out of the walks and multi-discipline events. Then I compared the men with the women to show how much faster, higher or longer the men's records are. You will see a few lines where the women's records would seem to be better than the men's record, a glance at the last two columns will explain why. In the sprint hurdles the women run 9% shorter and over much lower hurdles and the men are still quicker. In the 3000m steeplechase the hurdles are lower and the men are still quicker. In the throwing events you'll notice that the men's objects are around twice the weight of the women's (apart from the javelin where it's only 33.3% heavier) and the men still generally throw further. Taking into account all of these adjustments the men are still 11.22% better than the women. Now do you see why people prefer to watch men compete, they are better.

In football and cricket, women play at a fair level but nowhere near the men's standard. But it is tennis that is the sport where women most often claim parity with men, I think not.  I have heard some women try and convince the stupid that women have beaten men on straight match terms. As far as I am aware there have been four such singles matches over the years.

The first two matches were between an ageing Bobby Riggs (55 at the time of the matches) and the then still top women players Margaret Court and Billie Jean King. Riggs won the first and lost the second. This was less about men versus women than old versus young.

The next match was between Jimmy Connors and Martina Navratilova. Jimmy Connors was then aged 40 and Martina Navratilova was aged 35. It was over the best of three sets and the hybrid rules favoured the female player in that Jimmy Connors was allowed only one serve per point, and Martina Navratilova was allowed to hit into half the doubles court. Jimmy Connors still won  7–5, 6–2.

The last match that I can recall was held during the 1998 Australian Open between the then 31 year old Karsten Braasch and the Williams sisters then aged 17 and 16 respectively. Prior to the matches the Williams sisters had claimed that they could beat any male player ranked below 200. Braasch was then ranked 203rd and challenged them both. Braasch first took on Venus and beat her 6–2. He then played Serena and won 6-1. It seems that Serena Williams has learned her lesson because when in 2013, Andy Murray responded to a Twitter user who asked whether he would consider challenging Serena Williams, by saying "I’d be up for it. Why not?" Williams reacted positively to the suggestion, remarking "That would be fun. I doubt I’d win a point, but that would be fun.

So parity in tennis? I think not.

Any sports where there is parity? How about where women out perform men? I'll wait, yes...

When lady chefs talk dirty - Nigella, Delia and Kirstie

I know that I have posted this Nigella Lawson video before but with her personal life in the media spotlight I thought this would remind us all of happier erstwhile times...

And then there's Saint Delia Smith in all sorts of 1970s clothing, seems dirtier when it's Delia somehow...

And finally Kirstie Allsopp, not a patch on the other two but I know she has her fans...

The USA Maxim Hot 100 for 2013 in 100 seconds - Maybe NSFW

Miley Cyrus at number 1? Really? I do not agree with so many of these choices but then I'm not American and probably not in the target age range either.

Rory McIlroy describes Caroline Wozniacki as 'my girl' - Telegraph

'Rory McIlroy has hinted that he and Caroline Wozniacki are back together after describing her as "my girl".

After her Luxembourg Open victory on Sunday he congratulated her on the 21st win of her career, tweeting: "#21 #luxembourg #mygirl @CaroWozniacki."

Sources claimed that the pair had ended their two-year relationship before McIlroy boarded the plane to Seoul at the start of his month-long tour of Asia'

I am so relieved...

Oh Rory, why?

I read that Rory Rory McIlroy has dumped his tennis golden girlfriend, Caroline Wozniacki, in the hope of getting back on course and retaining his former World Number One status.

Hmm...

Do you think you should reconsider Rory?

This picture of the newly elected Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott and his wife and three daughters caught my eye. Eyes right!

The feminist response to Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines

This parody nicely done but doesn't reversing the roles demonstrate that two wrongs don't make a right?

The performers are The Law Revue girls who 'want to define those supposedly "blurred lines"'. It's interesting that the credits for the video on YouTube don't include the names of the male models, presumably they're just pretty bodies on the video!

If you want to see the original Blurred Lines videos both usual and uncensored take a trip here.

Some Friday evening Penny from Big Bang Theory

I'm still behind with my Big Bang Theory watching but here's an image from the recent episode, 'The Tenure Turbulence', that I haven't seen but looks well worth watching... Penny's gravity defying bosom.

Now that's gravity defying and rather impressive.

Why has Rory McIlroy lost form?

Consnsus opinion is that it's the fault of his changing clubs in that massive deal with Nike. However  I wonder if he's been distracted recently...

His girlfriend, world tennis number 1, Caroline Wozniacki has been posing for promotional material for a new sports lingerie range. The Mail have some diverting stills.

Here are some others that I found that may illustrate why Rory is off his game.

Maybe this has put Rory off of his stroke...

Iain Dale has lost all grip on reality

For Valentine's Day Iain Dale has posted this entitled The Talk Radio Top Totty List 2013. I fear for Iain Dale's sanity as included in the 20 are Richard Bacon, Shelagh Fogarty, the 'vile VD' herself - Victoria Derbyshire and Rachel Burden. Yeek.

The only three ones in his 20 with any talent as well as 'talent' are Joanne Good, Julia Hartley-Brewer and Emma Barnett.

Did you miss the Superbowl? Here are the highlights.

I prefer to watch rugby rather than American Football but here are what I believe were the highlights...

Thanks to Theo Spark for the spot.
