A good day to smuggle out controversial news

I note that the BBC are reporting in the midst of their reshuffle update news that:
"Speaking about MPs' expenses, the Crown Prosecution Service says that "unless evidence is available which shows individuals deliberately misled the [House of Commons] fees office, it is highly unlikely that there could be a successful prosecution"."
Whilst I am not surprised at this turn of events, after all no MP, especially a Labour one, was likely to be prosecuted by the CPS; the release of this news today does smack a little of Jo Moore tactics.

Gordon Brown - spinning round

A lovely article by Alice Thomsonin the Telegraph yesterday concerning Gordon Brown's current spinning methodology - It is "Mr Brown rather than the Tory leader who is more style than substance at the moment. His spinning has been masterful. He is just as obsessed with managing the media as Tony Blair and Alastair Campbell, only this time anti-spin is the new spin." Read the whole article here.

Which dictator?

I thought that Gordon Brown had been compared to Stalin, now I find that he also resembles Chairman Mao.
