Student Labour leader quits amid antisemitism claims per The Jewish Chronicle

This JC report is a must read, here's an extract:
'The co-chair of a leading student Labour group has quit amid accusations that colleagues "have some kind of problem with Jews".

Alex Chalmers said he was leaving the "poisonous" Oxford University Labour Club (OULC) after it endorsed Israel Apartheid Week, due to take place next week.

Mr Chalmers claimed fellow students had expressed "solidarity" with Hamas and had claimed accusations of antisemitism were "just the Zionists crying wolf".

...

In a lengthy Facebook post published following his resignation on Monday evening, Mr Chalmers wrote that he had invested "an extraordinary amount of time, energy, and emotion" in the club.

But it had become "increasingly riven by factional splits, and despite its avowed commitment to liberation, the attitudes of certain members of the club towards certain disadvantaged groups was becoming poisonous".

Students had used the term "Zio" with "casual abandon" he wrote.

They had also expressed "their 'solidarity' with Hamas and explicitly defending their tactics of indiscriminately murdering civilians".

Mr Chalmers claimed one colleague had claimed that "most accusations of antisemitism are just the Zionists crying wolf".

"A large proportion of both OULC and the student left in Oxford more generally have some kind of problem with Jews," he added.'

It will be interesting to see if the BBC report this story. What am I saying...

PIE and the Labour Party

News from The Times that you won't see reported on the Labour supporting BBC:
'Fury as paedophile campaigner is allowed to join Labour party

A notorious paedophile who once campaigned for sex with children to be legalised has been allowed to join the Labour party.

Tom O'Carroll, former chairman of the Paedophile Information Exchange (Pie), is understood to have joined after the election of Jeremy Corbyn as leader in September.

Pie was formed in 1974 to campaign for a change in the law. O'Carroll was jailed in 1981 for "corrupting public morals" and again in 2006 for distributing indecent images of children.'
Now where have I heard about PIE and the Labour Party before? Maybe the BBC could investigate, maybe not...

EU referendum: David Cameron’s deal is – in legal terms – not worth the paper it’s printed on per City A.M.

A fascinating article in today's City AM that you should read in full.
'When David Cameron set out his plans for a renegotiation followed by a referendum in his Bloomberg Speech three years ago, he said the best way to give effect to the outcome would be a new EU Treaty. Government ministers promised they would secure that before the referendum. They have failed to do so.

Why does this matter? Because any promised changes which are not contained in a new Treaty will not be worth the paper they are written on. The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has made clear that the EU Treaties can only be changed by a new EU Treaty. This must be ratified by every member state in accordance with its constitution. Some might have to hold referendums. We would not know the result until several years after we voted.

The government contends that a promise to change the Treaties after the poll can be legally binding. That is not the case. The former director general of the Legal Service of the Council of the European Union, Jean-Claude Piris, has said that the notion of a binding promise to change the Treaties in the future is "bullshit". Sir Konrad Schiemann, the UK's former judge in the ECJ, agrees with him.'
Why is David Cameron misleading the British public? Why are other MPs and ex MPs happy to go along with this? Why are the supposedly unbiased BBC not interested in reporting the facts?

The 2015 Dishonest Reporter of the Year: Why the BBC Won per HonestReporting

That the institutionally anti Israel BBC won this award is no surprise...
'... the BBC's treatment of Israel is part of a wider institutional problem afflicting the news department, which is widely perceived to be biased when it comes to any number of issues that don't conform to a liberal or left-wing perspective that dominates the BBC's thinking.'

David Bowie sings the Joy Division classic "Love Will Tear Us Apart"

Apparently - "A chance meeting in 1983 had David Bowie, Bernard Sumner and Peter Hook chatting away over beers in the Kings Arms in Salford. "...So we were all there just having a laugh and we joked that he should come n have a jam with us, then next minute - well, it was the next day actually, but i didn't expect he'd definitely come by - and we were in the practice rooms and we were playing Love Will Tear Us Apart and i was like, f%$K we're playing Love Will Tear Us Apart with David Bowie singing, this is crazy. We never released it - Bowie took a recording of it, and just layered some more vocals on for fun, sent it back to me..." - Bernard Sumner. N.B. I do not own the rights to this song - no copyright infringement"

Wow, simply incredible...  Actually literally 'incredible' as this is a fake, a hoax, but a good one!

Was Ohio Restaurant Targeted In Machete Attack over Israel? Per PJ Media

'A suspect who attacked patrons and staff at the Nazareth Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio with a machete last night was shot and killed by police minutes later, and some indications that the attack may have been motivated by the owner's Israeli heritage.'
Apparently the suspect has been identified as a Mohammed Barry, a man of Somali heritage. This would explain why the institutionally anti Israel BBC are not reporting this news.

BBC: "Bureaucratic, Arrogant and Introspective" Say MPs

A fascinating article at the TV Licensing blog http://tv-licensing.blogspot.sg/2016/02/bbc-bureaucratic-arrogant-and.html reveals something that the BBC have oddly not revealed.

'The House of Commons Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee has slammed the BBC as "arrogant" and "lacking transparency" in its first report reviewing the broadcaster's Royal Charter.
The 65-page document concluded that the broadcaster's governing body, the BBC Trust, had lost the public's confidence and should be replaced by a new unitary board with an independent head.
Jessie Norman, Chairman of the Select Committee, said: "The new board needs to address a culture within the BBC that has been widely described as bureaucratic, arrogant and introspective."
The report condemned the underhand manner in which former BBC Director of Television, Danny Cohen, orchestrated a 29-signature lobbying letter ahead of Charter renewal.
"The BBC's website ran, and continues to run, the (lobbying) story as an independent piece of news, without any disclosure in it of the BBC's own coordinating role," said the report.
"Even after a public newspaper investigation and questions from this Committee revealed the truth, the BBC did not put out an online clarification to this story. The Director-General (Lord Hall) argued that this was simply a case of BBC staff speaking up on behalf of the BBC, when it clearly was not. The Chair of the BBC Trust (Rona Fairhead) refused to accept that the BBC had been in any way at fault on this issue."
The BBC rarely accept that they have been at fault, are often arrogant and let's not start on their hiding of the Balen Report that would have revealed the extent of their institutional anti Israel bias.

Coming soon - The Axe Man can't substantiate his assertions... what a surprise

The new Top Gear line-up is too long

Six is just too many presenters, the old Top Gear managed with three. Maybe it's an admission that each of the new set is worth only half of a Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond or James May.
The new six are the very tiresome Chris Evans, the funny in Episodes and very personable Matt Le Blanc, the Formula 1 commentator and ex team boss Eddie Jordan, the German racing driver (and Queen of the Nurburgring) Sabine Schmidt, the motoring journalist Chris Harris and the TV presenter Rory Reid.

Too many by far. I predict at least two of these won't make it to the next series.

Music video incites Palestinians to blow up Jews in buses

This conclusion is from Elder Of Ziyon
'Make no mistake - the vast majority of Palestinians support the depraved message of videos like this, both explicitly and implicitly, by refusing to say a single negative word about them. And that is a message that Western media and politicians simply refuse to acknowledge.'
You can read the whole piece and see the music video here http://elderofziyon.blogspot.co.il/2016/02/music-video-incites-palestinians-to.html but you won't see or hear anything about this on the institutionally anti Israel BBC.

Study proves urban heat islands exist, even in the Arctic per Watts Up With That?

The BBC often report that temperatures in the Arctic are rising, but are they really?
'A novel form of the "urban heat island" effect might contribute to why the far north is warming faster than the rest of the globe, a study of five Arctic cities finds.

Sunlight can heat dense building materials. When night falls, buildings will release some of their solar energy into the air. This helps explain why urban centers tend to be a few degrees warmer than nearby rural areas.

"We decided that our Russian Arctic cities should also show this phenomenon," says Mikhail Varentsov, a climatologist at Lomonosov Moscow State University. But indoor heating — not the sun — would be the major heat source, at least in winter, when the sun shines little if at all. To test that idea, he and colleagues set up weather stations to collect data in the five cities north of the Arctic
Circle for about a week during the polar night (with 24 hours of darkness). Apatity, with a population of about 59,000, showed the strongest effect. Its city center was up to 10 degrees Celsius warmer than outlying areas. Murmansk, with more than 300,000 residents, showed a similar, but smaller, in-town increase of about 3 degrees Celsius. Varentsov shared his team's findings January 28 at the international Arctic Frontiers conference.'
Fascinating and definitely not what the warmists at the BBC will report.

Angus Dalgleish warns health tourist migrants are leaving the NHS at breaking point per Daily Mail Online

Something you won't see or hear reported by the pro unlimited immigration BBC.
'The NHS has been left 'on its knees' by uncontrolled migration from the EU, a leading cancer expert will warn tomorrow.

Professor Angus Dalgleish, the principal of the Cancer Vaccine Institute, says the NHS is being bled dry of resources by health tourists denied care at home.

Cancer treatment can cost £200,000 and, under Brussels rules, Britain has to offer it to all EU nationals.

Professor Dalgleish says this partly explains the NHS's £3billion deficit. He will also claim the Government has hindered progress into key disease areas 'by blindly adhering to EU directives'.

'Our membership of the EU is putting an intolerable strain on our NHS,' Professor Dalgleish, a melanoma expert of global renown, will tell a conference.'The NHS is on its knees and could collapse completely. NHS Trusts were not prepared for the millions of EU migrants who have poured into Britain because the Government estimate was nowhere near the reality.'

In the Safe Spaces on Campus, No Jews Allowed per The Tower

This article is a must read  here's a small extract.
'Over the course of what was probably no longer than an hour, my history was denied, the murder of my people was justified, and a movement whose sole purpose is the destruction of the Jewish homeland was glorified. Statements were made justifying the ruthless murder of innocent Israeli civilians, blatantly denying Jewish indigeneity in the land, and denying the Holocaust in which six million Jews were murdered. Why anyone in their right mind would accept these slanders as truths baffles me. But they did. These statements, and others, were met with endless snaps and cheers. I was taken aback.
...
When I heard that among my peers that "the Jews are oppressors and murderers—How can you care about students of color on campus when they're murdering our people abroad?"—it quickly dawned on me that it wasn't that they don't like us because we're pro-Israel—they don't like us because we're Jews. '
Read the rest and worry about the future for Jews in an increasingly hostile Europe and USA. An hostility exacerbated by the institutionally anti Israel coverage of the BBC and others broadcasters.

Philip Hammond warns less than HALF of the migrants are fleeing Syria

'Philip Hammond has warned less than half of the migrants entering Europe are fleeing the brutal war in Syria.

More than a million people are expected to try and get into Europe this year but speaking on a visit to refugee camps in Jordan the Foreign Secretary said many were economic migrants who should be sent home.'
Any sensible person knows this to be true but the pro immigration BBC has been pretending this is not the case and so skewed the debate.

The EU is committing "ritual suicide" and the BBC is hiding that

'Robert Fico, the Slovakian prime minister, declared the EU is committing a "ritual suicide" by letting so many people in. He said the country could volunteer 300 guards at the Schengen zone's external borders.

He condemned Jean-Claude Juncker's quota system to share out migrants as "nonsense" and a "complete fiasco"."If it takes until late 2016 or 2017 for Europe to set up its planned border and coastguard force, the EU will have killed itself"

Six in ten migrants not entitled to asylum, says EU chief per The Telegraph. Something that the BBC will not be reporting.

'Frans Timmermans says official data shows majority of refugees are economic migrants, as Slovakia declares Europe is 'suicidal'

Six in 10 migrants arriving in Europe are economic migrants with no right to asylum, one of the EU's most senior officials has disclosed.

Frans Timmermans, the first vice president of the European Commission, said that the majority of those coming to the EU are not fleeing war or persecution.

Many are Tunisians or Moroccans who were joining the migrant trail through Turkey, he said, and they must be deported if the public is to consent to aiding asylum seekers.

"It's about 60 per cent of all asylum seekers," he said, citing internal figures held by Frontex, the EU border agency. "These are people that you can assume have no reason to apply for refugee status."'

The truth about the migrant crisis is not what the BBC are interested in reporting, so don't expect this piece of news to get any attention on the BBC.

BBC News in turmoil

The BBC are in turmoil http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-35468776. They have expended much effort in trying to destroy Donald Trump's campaign whilst minimising coverage of the other Republican candidates thus trying to ensure that whichever Republican won the Republican nomination could be portrayed as a political minnow when compared to the BBC's chosen candidate Hillary Clinton.

Unfortunately, for the BBC, not only did Ted Cruz win the Republican nomination in Iowa but Hillary Clinton has at best managed just a tiny win over Bernie Sanders. The BBC have been to so much trouble minimising coverage of the various scandals that have surrounded Hillary Clinton that the British public just won't understand why the American Democrat voters could have turned against the BBC's choice.

Maybe if the BBC just impartially reported the news rather than trying to push their various agendas and political choices, then maybe they wouldn't keep being embarrassed by people not voting the BBC way...

UK expands 0.5% in fourth quarter and you can sense BBC News's gritted teeth

This BBC report http://www.bbc.com/news/business-35427222 gives one the impression that the BBC news team are unhappy reporting some more good economic news.

Poor BBC, reporting the truth hurts.

'The situation in Calais comes amid an influx of migrants to Europe - caused largely by people fleeing war and oppression in countries such as Syria, Afghanistan and Eritrea.'
Forget the figures showing more of these migrants are coming from North Africa, the BBC have an agenda to push.

Because Jews don't count for BBC News

This BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-35309195 describes Indonesia as 'largely secular'. But it's no multi religion paradise if you're not a Muslim. Ask the residents of the predominately Hindu island of Bali or the remnants of the small Jewish community of Indonesia. The latter task could be tricky because in September 2013 it was revealed that the last synagogue in Indonesia had been destroyed. 'Unidentified persons' demolished the Beith Shalom synagogue in Surabaya on the island of Java to its foundations sometime earlier this year, according to a report on Indoweb.nl.The synagogue has seen a number of anti-Israel protests staged in front of it and was sealed by Islamic hard-liners in 2009, according to the Jakarta Globe. Oddly I don't recall the BBC reporting this piece of news about Indonesia becoming all but Judenfrei, but then in the Islamic world that's not really news.

Cologne attackers were of migrant origin - minister per BBC News through gritted teeth

The BBC report through very gritted teeth that:
'The men suspected of attacking women in Cologne on New Year's Eve were "almost exclusively" from a migration background, mainly North African and Arab, an official report says.'

But the BBC being the BBC, they have to try and lay the blame elsewhere:
'Cologne police also made "serious mistakes" in not calling reinforcements and the way they informed the public.

More than 500 criminal complaints were filed, 40% alleging sexual assault.'
And the BBC's main worry is the possibility of retaliatory attacks:
'Apparent retaliatory attacks in Cologne on Sunday were condemned by the government as inexcusable.'

Germany confirms most mob attack suspects were asylum seekers

Yahoo News are reporting that which the BBC won't.
'Germany said Friday most suspects in the mob violence that marred Cologne's New Year's Eve celebrations were asylum seekers, fuelling calls to quickly deport criminal migrants.
...
A week after the chaotic scenes outside Cologne railway station, federal police said they had identified 31 suspects whose alleged offences were "mostly theft and causing bodily harm".

Eighteen of them are asylum seekers, the interior ministry said.

Among the suspects are nine Algerians, eight Moroccans, five Iranians, four Syrians, two Germans and one citizen each from Iraq, Serbia and the United States, ministry spokesman Tobias Plate said.'

Kids are very perceptive... How would Hillary Clinton feel?

Thanks to Theo Spark for the spot.

Sex attackers risk deportation says Merkel per BBC News who continue to try to persuade that migrants might not have been to blame for the New Year's Eve attacks in Cologne, Stuttgart, Switzerland and elsewhere

This BBC news article is desperate stuff. It tries to persuade us that it might not be migrants from the Middle East and North Africa that were to blame for the sexual assaults and other misdemeanours that occurred on New Year's Eve in Cologne and other cities in Europe.

'On the square outside were several thousand men, most of a migrant background, who were firing all kinds of fireworks and throwing bottles into the crowd at random.'

'German media, also quoting internal police reports, say that significant numbers of Syrian, Afghan and Iraqi migrants were in the crowd – although it is unclear if any were involved in the attacks.'

'But Cologne's mayor said there was no reason to believe those behind the attacks were refugees.'

The mayor and the BBC might actually be correct here, but only insofar as these migrants ceased to be refugees when they left the first safe country they reached having previously left their dangerous country of origin. Once they left Turkey, Greece, Italy etc and moved north for the money, benefits and housing they stopped being refugees and became migrants.

The above assumes that these people ever were refugees, something that is by no means certain and is indeed unlikely to apply to all of them.

Google, Facebook and Twitter Yield to Government Demand to Censor 'Hate Speech'

Breitbart repoets the anti free speech news that:
'In a deal reached last December, major social media sites said they would work to delete any German anti-migrant sentiments distributed on their networks within 24 hours after a removal request has been made.'
A German government being against free speech, who'd have thought it?

The trouble is that our overlords in the EU aren't interested in free speech, EUrabia is our decided future.

Sometimes political balance is important to the BBC

There's a fascinating article in The Times today, page 5 of the print edition.

Apparently Barry Humphries wanted to tell a joke about Jeremy Corbyn when he was to appear on Michael MacIntyre's Christmas show. He was told that for balance he'd 'also have to say something about Mr Cameron.'

Oddly this political balance doesn't seem to apply to the majority of BBC topical news quizzes and panel shows where lampooning Conservatives is de rigeur, Labour less so. And as for UKIP and Donald Trump, well the BBC don't even pretend to be impartial there.

Germany shocked by Cologne New Year gang assaults on women per BBC News

The BBC have finally http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35231046 got around to reporting the Cologne attacks. I found this part of their report interesting:

'A policeman who was outside Cologne station during the New Year's Eve trouble told the city's Express news website that he had detained eight suspects. "They were all asylum seekers, carrying copies of their residence certificates," he said.

However, there was no official confirmation that asylum seekers had been involved in the violence. Commentators in Germany were quick to urge people not to jump to conclusions.'
Are there no lengths the BBC won't go to to protect Muslim immigrants from censure?

Freedom of Information is very important to the BBC

This BBC article bemoans the way that the government doesn't comply with Freedom of Information requests, it's an interesting article and worth a read. However I'd take , BBC

The Balen Report is a 20,000 word document written by the senior broadcasting journalist Malcolm Balen in 2004 after examining thousands of hours of the BBC's coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The report was commissioned by former BBC Director of News, Richard Sambrook, following persistent complaints from the public and the Israeli government of allegations of anti-Israel bias.

It is a legal obligation for the Corporation to be impartial which is why this Report is so important. Well-known examples of purported bias are: BBC's correspondent in Jerusalem 2004, Barbara Plett who broadcast Yasser Arafat's exit to hospital "When the helicopter carrying the frail old man rose above his ruined compound I started to cry ...".
Eventually one year later Helen Boaden, Head of BBC News admitted this was "an editorial misjudgment". There have been similar issues since the report. In 2006 Middle-East correspondent Orla Guerin claimed the Town of Bint Jbeil had been 'wiped out' by the Israelis and showed footage to support this. It had not in fact been wiped out and Channel 4's Alex Thomson, the same day, reported ( from the same street) that the town was "pretty much untouched by the Israeli attack". In fact when the two new's reports were compared it became clear Guerin had completely misled the public. in 2005 The Israeli government accused Ms Guerin of being 'anti-Semitic' in her reporting of a would-be suicide bomber.'
It is estimated that the BBC has spent over £200,000 of licence payers money on keeping the Balen Report secret.

Just how damning must the Balen Report have been for the BBC to be so desperate to keep it under wraps?

German police hunt for group of up to 1,000 men over sex attacks

'German police are hunting for a group of up to a 1,000 men 'of Arab and North African origin' who are accused of sexually assaulting numerous women and causing trouble at Cologne's main station.

Police described the series of sexual assaults against women in Cologne on New Year's Eve as 'a completely new dimension of crime.'

Officers received numerous complaints from women who said they had been assaulted around Cologne's main train station next to the western German city's famous cathedral on the night from Thursday to Friday.

The group of men reportedly also robbed their victims and threw fireworks at a crowd of people, according to Breitbart.

Cologne police chief Wolfgang Albers said witnesses described the assaults as coming from a group of up to 1,000 men whose appearance indicated they were of 'Arab or North African origin.'

Oddly I can find no mention of this news on the BBC. Why might that be? If a woman is sexually assaulted in India then the pro Islamic Pakistan BBC readies the headlines but not when it's sexual assaults by Muslim men in Europe. The BBC once again disgusts me.

Tel Aviv shooting: Two dead, Israeli police say per BBC News

'As of 23 December, at least 21 Israelis had been killed in the recent violence, most of them in stabbings and shooting attacks by Palestinians.

At least 131 Palestinians have also been killed. More than half were said by Israel to be attackers. Others have been killed in clashes with Israeli forces.'
My contempt for the BBC is beyond measure. They are institutionally anti Israel and have got worse since the Balen Report that they were so desperate to keep secret.

I don't think vile scum is too strong a word for the BBC.

New Year Honours 2016: Lynton Crosby knighthood criticised by Labour per the Labour Party media arm the BBC News

The BBC's lead report on the New Year's honours http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-35201149 leads on Labour's faux outrage about Lynton Crosby.
'... Mr Burnham said the strategist's knighthood suggested "the Tories think they can get away with whatever they like"."
It is a timely reminder that Labour must make it a new year's resolution to stop facing inwards and expose them for what they are," he added.

Fellow Labour MP Graham Jones added: "The honours system is supposed to recognise dedicated public service, not simply be a vehicle to reward Tory cronies and donors."'

Of course Rosie Winterton this year and other Labour politicians and such as Philip Gould in previous years are irrelevant to the Labour Party hypocrites and their willing allies at the Labour Party mouthpiece the BBC.

Happy New Year!

How the UK is being changed per Alex on Biased BBC

A comment on Biased BBC caught my eye... http://biasedbbc.org/blog/2015/12/29/many-children/
'Alex December 30, 2015 at 12:08 am

The real problem beneath all of this whole big swindle is of course the Cultural Marxists, who are after one thing and one thing only: a new anti-western communist state.

And, they'll do anything to achieve this and see the west's capitalist/corporate /market-driven demise.

So, they lie, they brainwash through propaganda in our schools and universities and the media and they undermine western countries' heritage and traditional values and institutions.

Free speech is banned and anyone who speaks out is branded racist.

Make no mistake; our country and our ways of life are being intentionally attacked by both communists and Islamist excrement.

Anyone who has been at university in the last twenty years will confirm how bad this cultural Marxist brainwashing is; capitalism is bad and must be replaced with diversity and inclusion; it's classic textbook socialism/communism and is being played out before our very eyes.

Traditional values such as Christianity must be weakened and replaced by islam etc and unfettered immigration.

I've seen this far-left ideological agenda, and have had to write papers on it and the the most frightening thing is that our young impressionable, angry and confused youth are buying it; they're being taught what to think instead of how to think – they're being conditioned into thinking that equality of opportunity is bad, but equality of outcome is good and so on and should be aggressively pursued through politics etc.

The far left are using the youth as a mobilising force for their vile ideological revolution.

The BBC is also under the control of far-left extremist Marxists, hence the constant propaganda.

I say it again; if one wants to measure how far the Marxists have infiltrated our country's institutions, then attend a few university lectures. It's very, very worrying.'

Lemmy, the Motorhead frontman has dief aged 70 shortly after being diagnosed with cancer

Lemmy R. I. P.

'If you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man,
You win some, lose some, all the same to me,
The pleasure is to play, makes no difference what you say,
I don't share your greed, the only card I need is
The Ace Of Spades
Playing for the high one, dancing with the devil,
Going with the flow, it's all the game to me,
Seven or Eleven, snake eyes watching you,
Double up or quit, double stake or split,
The Ace Of Spades
You know I'm born to lose, and gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby,
I don't wanna live for ever,
And don't forget the joker!
Pushing up the ante, I know you wanna see me,
Read 'em and weep, the dead man's hand again,
I see it in your eyes, take one look and die,
The only thing you see, you know it's gonna be,
The Ace Of Spades'

Booming Britain to become world's fourth largest economy as France and Italy face G8 exclusion per The Telegraph

'Britain will reach the "giddy" heights of the fourth largest economy in the world, leapfrogging Germany and Japan over the next two decades, new analysis shows.

The UK is set to become the best performing economy in the western world over the next 15 years, boosted by its leading position in global software and IT sectors, according to a report by the Centre for Economics Business and Research.'
Oddly this is an economic report that the BBC don't see fit to mention, I wonder why... Presumably because it doesn't meet the narrative of the BBC / Labour alliance.

Driver Shouting 'Allahu Akbar!' Runs Down 11 French Pedestrians per NBC News

'A driver screaming "Allahu Akbar!" (Arabic for "God is great") appeared to deliberately mow down about a dozen pedestrians in the French city of Dijon before being arrested on Sunday, officials said.
The driver, who was in his forties, hit groups of pedestrians in five parts of the eastern city before being arrested, a spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior said on French television. Eleven people in all were injured, two of them seriously, officials said.

According to testimonies on the scene, the driver also invoked "the children of Palestine"' to explain his actions, the ministry's spokesman said. France's Interior Ministry Spokesman Pierre Henry Brandet said "the man acted alone," and that the suspect was known to police for crimes committed in the 1990s.

A day earlier, French police in a Tours suburb shot and killed a man also shouting "Allahu Akbar" who had stabbed and wounded three officers in a police station.'
Oddly I can't find a report of these incidents on the BBC, can anyone suggest why the BBC might choose not to report these stories?

2 Palestinians Killed After Stabbing Attack per TIME

This Time article http://time.com/4159915/2-palestinians-killed-after-stabbing-attack/ really is headlined '2 Palestinians Killed After Stabbing Attack'. No mention of the Israeli Jews attacked by these two Palestinians. Are Jewish lives worth so little?

I'm all but lost for words

'Asylum seekers and refugees applying to be minicab drivers are exempt from criminal records checks, potentially allowing murderers and rapists to get behind the wheel.

Rules laid down by Transport for London (TfL) mean refugees and those applying for asylum do not have to reveal whether they have a criminal history when trying to become a cab driver.

The legal loophole in an official application document on 'private hire driver licensing' says people coming to Britain will not be required to have their criminal convictions checked.

Asylum seekers and refugees applying to be minicab drivers are exempt from criminal records checks. '
If true this is so mind-blowing a policy that I am lost for words.

Happy Birthday Maurice White - Earth, Wind & Fire - Boogie Wonderland

Earth, Wind and Fire - Boogie Wonderland

The Paris climate fiasco leaves UK alone in the dark per The Telegraph

Here's an extract:
'It really is time for us all to grasp just what a charade all that wishful thinking in Paris turned out to be. Lost in their self-deluding group-think, the 40,000 delegates may have been happy to cheer the idea that we must abolish fossil fuels. But not one pointed out that the world currently depends on fossil fuels to provide nearly 87 per cent of all the energy it uses. Those useless "renewables" they want us all to use instead – based on the wind and the sun – supply less than 2 per cent.'

Kuwait Airways cancels NY-to-London flight rather than allow Israeli passengers

Interesting news re Kuwait Airways
'Kuwait hates Jews so much that its national airline has ditched a popular and lucrative New York-to-London flight rather than allow Israelis on its planes, authorities said Thursday.

Kuwait Airways killed the flight to spite American officials, who threatened to pull the airline's permit to fly to the United States if they continued discriminating against Israeli passengers.'

Jacob Rees Mogg pwns David Dimbleby over 'Eton' jibe

How lovely to see the sanctimonious David Dimbleby try to point out that Jacob Rees Mogg went to Eton, via a textbook playing of the Labour you're a toff card, only to have his snideness blow up in his face.

Absolutely delicious!

A fair point re the radicalisation of British Muslims

I found this comment on Biasedbbc.org
'If, as they claim, all British muslims are true believers in the religion of peace, Islam, then then the only answer to the question " Will bombing ISIS, perverters of Islam, radicalise British muslims?"" must be NO!

If someone is defiling the ideals you hold dear, and you are a peaceful soul, then you might be tempted to use violence against those doing the defiling, but not against those attacking the defilers.
Where are all the "Muslim International Brigades" off to destroy ISIS?'
That's a fair point, isn't it?

Tucked away at the end of this BBC report is a key figure that should give us all cause to pause and think.

'A total of 641,000 people moved to the UK in 2014, the Office for National Statistics said.'
The BBC headline might be 'Immigration cap having counter-productive effect, MPs say' and the figure quoted might be the NET immigration figure of 300k+ but for me the more important facts are that immigration hit 641,000 and thus that approximately 300,000 Brits left the UK.

Doesn't that sound like population replacement on a massive scale to you?

To put that 641,000 figure in context, that's more than the population of Bristol which is the UK's fifth largest city.

Here's that BBC report in full... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35128149

Fourteen members of Paris synagogue poisoned per The Jewish Chronicle

'Fourteen Parisian worshippers were poisoned on Monday after their synagogue's electronic lock was daubed with poison.

Members of the Jewish community of Bonneuil-sur-Marne, in the south-eastern suburbs of Paris, called emergency services to report a sudden strong burning sensation in their eyes and itchy rashes on their skin.

It is believed 25 firemen rushed to the synagogue, where they treated congregants and traced their condition to the daubed lock.

The substance was described as a "nonlethal irritant" and was sent to a police forensic lab for analysis.

The shul, which is under police and military protection when open, is believed to have been targeted when closed with no guard present.'

There won't be anything about this on the BBC but if it had been a mosque not a synagogue then it would have been headline news.

Evan Davis interviews Ann Coulter on presidential candidate Donald Trump

This interview does show how the BBC obsess over certain topics in order to gloss over others. The most puerile was Evan Davis's attempt to question Donald Trump's comments about the prettiness of his daughter.

However it was this comment that I thought summed up BBC/left-wing group think:
"He continues to flourish in the polls notwithstanding his controversial proposal that foreign Muslims..."
It seems that the BBC don't understand, or maybe can't accept, that Donald Trump might actually be flourishing in the polls because a large number of Americans like what he's saying on immigration.
The BBC/left-wing hive view is that immigration is good because diversity is good and because the West needs to pay a price for colonialism and the Crusades and invading poor countries. If immigration is good then to criticise it is racist and any means of countering that racism is fine.

Women take record number of university places per BBC News

Imagine the BBC's reporting if men were more likely to go to university than women.

Imagine the BBC's reporting if non white people were less likely to go to university than white people.

The BBC would be apoplectic with rage and indignation, feminists and race hustlers would be invited to explain why this state of affairs was a disgrace and symptomatic of the sexism and racism inherent in the UK.

However as it's women who are much more likely to go to university than men, and non white people more likely than white, the BBC are really quite relaxed.

'Women are 35% more likely to go to university than men, the widest gap so far....

The most likely are:
women
those living in London
those from more affluent families
those in non-white ethnic groups
Those most likely to be under-represented at university are poor, white males.
White people, proportionate to their numbers in the population, are the least likely ethnic group to go to university, the admissions service says.'
You can read the whole BBC report here
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-35111772 where you can see how the BBC are very concerned with the disproportionate number of rich as opposed to poor people who go to university but much less so with the apparent disproportionate number of women as compared to men or Non-whites compared to whites.

Odd? Not really...

Revealed: Potential Terrorists Are Being ALLOWED To Leave The UK

'Senior counter-terrorism officers have revealed that UK authorities are allowing potential terrorists to leave the UK freely, if it is calculated that the Islamists are more dangerous left in this country.'

This is absolutely the correct option with one proviso, that once they've left the UK they aren't allowed back. If they're more dangerous left in this country, then how much more dangerous would they be once they've received terrorist training?

Seventy Paris airport workers have security passes revoked over extremism fears per The Telegraph

The Telegraph reports http://www.telegraph.co.uk/yL47N on an update to a story I posted last week
about the number of people on a terrorist watchlist who were working at French airports.

'Suspected radical Islamists identified as authorities try to weed out potential terrorists working at Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports in wake of attacks on French capital

Seventy workers at Paris airports suspected of being radical Islamists have had their security passes revoked since the deadly attacks in the city a month ago.'

That not scary enough?

Read on...
'Security agents have also examined the contents of around 4,000 workers' lockers at Charles de Gaulle and Orly as the airports authority attempts to weed out any potential terrorists working at the busy transport hubs.

French security sources have said that Islamist militants killed in a police raid in a Paris suburb five days after the November 13 attacks were planning to attack Charles de Gaulle, France's biggest international airport.

The radicalisation of airport personnel sparked concern after the crash in October of a Russian passenger plane in Egypt which Western intelligence officials believe was brought down by a bomb smuggled on board by an airport worker.'

Flying is rapidly becoming an even more dangerous undertaking.

Teacher stabbed with scissors at Paris school 'by man shouting Islamic State' per London Evening Standard

'A teacher has been stabbed at a school in Paris by a suspected extremist who shouted "Islamic State" during the attack, police say.

French media outlet Agence France-Presse reported the attack took place at a nursery school at 6.30am in the town of Aubervilliers on Monday.

A hooded man is understood to have attacked the male teacher as he prepared for classes. Police say he remains at large.'
Presumably a Presbyterian?

SAS sniper in Iraq kills 5 ISIS jihadis with 3 bullets as 1 makes suicide vest explode per Daily Mail Online

'An SAS sniper was able to stop a group of jihadis launching a suicide bomb attack by killing the terrorists with just three bullets in a dramatic shoot-out in an ISIS-held part of Iraq.

The marksman, who joined the SAS a decade ago, potentially saved the lives of hundreds of innocent people by firing three well-aimed shots at the jihadists as they left a bomb factory near Mosul.
The sniper was given the go-ahead after the men were spotted leaving the bomb factory wearing heavy coats in hot weather – a sign they were trying to hide their suicide vests.'

A hero but I'm sure the BBC and it's fellow travellers will find an angle to criticise this action. Perhaps the BBC and Jeremy Corbyn think that he should have arrested these terrorists.

French far right National Front routed in key vote per BBC News

How were the FN routed?
'Marine Le Pen stood as a regional presidential candidate in the northern region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie, while her niece Marion Marechal-Le Pen was the FN's candidate in the race in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, in the south.

After both led with more than 40% of the vote in the first round on 6 November, the Socialist candidates in those regions pulled out so their voters could support Republican candidates against the FN in the second round.'

So would it be fair to say that in France the Socialist and Republican parties are two cheeks...

Final draft of #COP21 reached – with a 1 year “opt out” clause per Watts Up With That?

The opt out clause is interesting but more so is this:
'Don't let anyone tell you this isn't about wealth redistribution, and these two paragraphs clearly show, it's nothing more than a handout from rich to poor which will probably end up getting diverted and used for anything but the intended emissions reductions, especially in corrupt regimes of Africa

"53. Decides that, in the implementation of the Agreement, financial resources provided to developing countries should enhance the implementation of their policies, strategies, regulations and action plans and their climate change actions with respect to both mitigation and adaptation to contribute to the achievement of the purpose of the Agreement as defined in Article 2;

"54. Further decides that, in accordance with Article 9, paragraph 3, of the Agreement, developed countries intend to continue their existing collective mobilization goal through 2025 in the context of meaningful mitigation actions and transparency on implementation; prior to 2025 the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement shall set a new collective quantified goal from a floor of USD 100 billion per year, taking into account the needs and priorities of developing countries;'

World military leaders slam @Amnesty, praise IDF

'Israel fought "an exemplary campaign" during the Gaza conflict last year, an independent group of prominent military personnel and a former United Nations war crimes prosecutor has concluded.

A report by the High Level Military Group (HLMG), made up of 11 former military and intelligence leaders from five continents, said Israel operated "within the parameters of the Law of Armed Conflict" and had even "in some respects exceeded the highest standards we set for our own nations' militaries,"

The group unanimously agreed that Israel's military response was reasonable.

"Israel's efforts were entirely justified, appropriately conceived and lawfully carried out, and necessary in the defence of that country's national security."

The study was compiled this summer during six fact-finding and research trips.

The former officers, who held important positions in the US, UK, German, Italian, Spanish, French, Indian, Australian and Colombian defence forces, said they had enjoyed a level of access to military information which was "undoubtedly in excess of what our own countries would afford in similar circumstances."'
There's more detail here http://elderofziyon.blogspot.co.uk/2015/12/world-military-leaders-slam-amnesty.html but of course not on the institutionally anti Israel BBC.

Call to scrap London taxi driver 'Knowledge' test per BBC News

Apparently:
'The test which all black cab drivers in London must pass to secure a licence should be scrapped, according to the capital's Conservatives.

The Greater London Authority Tories called the test - known as the Knowledge - "archaic" and a "major barrier" for recruitment.

The exam requires drivers to learn 25,000 street names.

Drivers' representatives said they were "stunned and shocked" by the suggestion.

The Saving An Icon report by Richard Traceyfound black cab drivers needed to make "fundamental changes" to keep up with the "increasingly popular app-based private hire firms" in an expanding city.'

The licenced London taxi is more than an institution, it's a guarantee that the driver will know where he's going. A sat nav can guide a driver but it's not as good as a driver with the knowledge of London.
How many times have you sat in a minicab behind a driver who clearly doesn't know where he is, where he's going or how to get from one to the other; all he knows is on that 5" screen in front of him and heaven help you if there's a traffic problem to navigate around.

Jeremy Corbyn hero-worships murderous thugs like Hoxha because he's a cowardly wimp per Telegraph

John McTernan is apparently not a huge fan of Jeremy Corbyn:
'That's the problem. It isn't adult behaviour to describe a vicious dictator like Hoxha – a man who immiserated and brutalised his country – as a "tough ruler". But it is revealing. It is adolescent. And that is the key to why Corbyn praises men of violence. He is a classic wimp who worships the viciousness of which he is personally utterly incapable.

Chavez, Castro, Mao, the Provisional IRA, Hamas and Hizbollah – all have their place in the Corbynite pantheon of politics. At first it appeared that this was mere misjudgement. An ultra-Left leader who use to hang out exclusively with people who shared his politics and his hero worship. One who newly elected to the post of Leader of one of the world's great Left of centre parties mistakenly kept praising his old idols. Surely Corbyn didn't intend to remind people that he was from such an extreme Left political formation. It turns out it wasn't a mistake – it was who he is.'

Kalashnikov bullets found in police raid 'linked' to radical Paris mosque closure per Telegraph

'Police discover "bullets, Islamist propaganda and unauthorised madrassa" in raid after closure of mosque in Lagny-sur-Seine, outside Paris, in wake of Paris terror attacks

Kalashnikov ammunition and Islamist propaganda videos were seized by French police in raids on Sunday after shutting down a mosque in the Paris suburbs, according to French authorities.

Linked to the traditionalist Salafist branch of Islam, the prayer hall in Lagny-sur-Marne, around 18 miles east of the capital, was shut down last Wednesday following a major police operation.'

Not a word on the BBC for whom protecting Islam seems more important than protecting innocent British, French, German, American etc. lives.

Stamp duty move 'brought £4,500 saving' per BBC news. An example of bias by omission

This BBC report is a masterpiece of BBC bias.
All the good news is as the result of things happening, passive voice, with no explanation of the recent history of stamp duty, actually it's stamp duty land tax.

'Buyers purchasing a property in the last 12 months are typically £4,500 better off owing to the stamp duty changes of a year ago, a lender says.

Stamp duty was reformed to a more progressive system in England and Wales last December.

The changes saved tax for most buyers but dampened demand at the top end of the market, the Halifax said.

The lender said that the total tax levied in the UK rose to a record £7.5bn in 2014-15."The changes made to stamp duty a year ago have been of significant benefit to many buyers," said Craig McKinlay, mortgages director at the Halifax.

"Only those purchasing the most expensive homes are worse off. There is some evidence that the top end of the market has been adversely affected by the changes with sales over £1.5m falling by twice
as much as the market as a whole."'
These progressive improvements just happened it seems. No explanation that it was George Osborne that ended the unfairness of the previous stepped rate system and introduced a more progressive system that helped out house buyers at the bottom of the market whilst penalising purchasers at the top of the market.

Nor is there any explanation of who it was who introduced the massive in stamp duty back in 1997, it being the then Labour Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown. It's almost as though the BBC want to give a reforming Conservative Chancellor of the Exchequer no credit whilst protecting the reputation of a Labour Chancellor of the Exchequer.

George Osborne does get a mention but only at the end of the article:
'In his Autumn Statement, Chancellor George Osborne announced a further reform of stamp duty. A 3% surcharge on stamp duty when some buy-to-let properties and second homes are bought will be levied from April.

This means it will add £5,520 of tax to be paid when buying the average £184,000 buy-to-let property.'
In BBC-land it's right to ascribe tax increases to a Conservative Chancellor of the Exchequer but not policies that might benefit others. Well unless the policies benefit millionaires of course, in which case the BBC amplifies the accusations from the Labour Party of the Conservative party only looking after its rich supporters.

This sort of BBC bias is despicable but also endemic at the BBC. It sets the tone for debate and so should be stopped. A Conservative party with balls would do something about this BBC bias but they won't. The BBC is out of control and is too big to be stopped.
