Another arrest in the City Hall grants scandal

The Standard report in an article, not by Andrew Gilligan but by Benedict Moore-Bridger, that "A second key associate of the Mayor's former aide Lee Jasper has been arrested by police investigating the City Hall grants scandal.

The man, believed to be Clive Grey, 45, was being questioned by police over allegation of money laundering after handing himself in at Belgravia police station.

His arrest came just hours after his business partner Greg Nowell, who ran a scheme linked to Mr Jasper, was also arrested by Met detectives."

Now "Mr Nowell and Mr Grey - both associates of Mr Jasper - ran the Green Badge Taxi School, a project in Clapham which was set up purporting to offer courses in the "knowledge" for would be taxi drivers from ethnic minorities. It was funded by the London Development-Agency and its annual reports showed that grants were gained thanks to the "strong support of Lee Jasper"."

I wonder if there will be any more arrests before May's Mayoral election and, if there are any, how close they will come to Lee Jasper and Ken Livingstone themselves?
