The Standard are running the story that "A senior member of the Mayor's team has admitted that Lee Jasper broke strict City Hall rules.
John Ross told the London Assembly that Mr Jasper - who quit last night as race adviser - had breached Greater London Authority guidelines.
Mr Ross, the Mayor's economics adviser, said Mr Jasper had not declared he was on the board of equalities organisation Equanomics UK.
The body was "incubated" by the 1990 Trust, an organisation founded by Mr Jasper that has received more than £100,000 in City Hall funding."
Go and read the rest.
By the way, did you see Ken's comments made last night that Lee Jasper was victim of a campaign to push him out of power at the mayoral elections on 1 May? "I think it has been an absolutely disgraceful campaign. It will be months before the police finish their inquiries. But I would bet my own life that they will clear Lee Jasper and I will reappoint him when they do,"
Can we hold Ken Livingstone to that? If Lee Jasper is charged by the police then how do we collect on Ken's bet?
