Priorities 2

Whilst I am commenting on Jacqui Smith's recent doings, I must let you know that she has managed to persuade a fellow minister to change the name of a prison from that of her constituency. From her simply marvellous website I see that she wants us to knaow that "Following my representations, I was delighted to learn from Justice Minister, David Hanson this evening that he had withdrawn the naming of the prison HMP Redditch. He has also announced a new four week consultation process to decide on a new name. This time I will not depend on the Conservative controlled County Council to consult on the new name their previous attempt was totally inadequate. I will be seeking the views of Redditch people myself."
