Many who studied Latin in the 1970s and 1980s would have studied the Cambridge Latin course.
I think the naming of the head of the house in tonight's Dr Who episode (THe Fires of Pompeii) Caecilius may not have been an accident. Maybe James Moran and/or Russell T. Davies also studied Latin - if so I would like to say - "Grumio est in Culina".
Great performance by Phil "shake me up Judy" Davis by the way.

Was it the coin-in-the-ear schtick?
Nope! Missed the Eighth Doctor bit!
Actually Caecilius was a real person who lived in Pompey and the remains of his house are in all the tourist brochures - hence his inclusion in the CLC.
It's been so long that I have forgotten the filmic link!
