Why can't Labour "strategists" blog

Have you taken a look at Derek Draper's Labour List? Messy design, messy concept, blogging that is obsessed with attacking the Conservatives and pushing the party line and of course very few visitors. The funniest thing about Labour List, apart from the photo of Derek Draper and his recent Twitter stalking, is that it is still apparently not launched - the launch date is 12 February, I can hardly wait.

I also note that one of the few Labour men even more unpleasant than Derek Draper, has started a blog; Alastair Campbell. You can visit it it here, and if you do you will find a blog that looks as though it has been "designed" by a 12 year old. It also has probably the worst scrolling controls of any website I have ever visited.


Why do these Labour bloggers put so much store on "design" over "content"? And then screw up the "design" as well as the "content"?
