The BBC and anyone but a Brit
The BBC radio coverage of the Open, since their beloved Tiger Woods missed the cut, has been obsessed by Tom Watson. You would have thought that the British Broadcasting Corporation would have been excited by the thought of a possible British winner in Lee Westwood (my tip on Wednesday to friends) but no the "narrative" was how wonderful it would be if Tom Watson won. Thankfully I am now at home and can now watch the more impartial BBC TV coverage rather than listen to the disc-jockeys and other assorted misfits on 5Live.
