This week's prize goes to one of the clueless pair that are currently ruining the UK economy. This time it's the junior gormless one, Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling. Apparently he has finally cottoned on to the fact that money does not grow on trees and is today to say that "The government will have to start 'cutting costs' as it deals with the effects of the recession".
"No shit, Sherlock"
Mind you this obvious fact does not seem to have yet penetrated the ultra obstinate cranium of our cowardly Prime Minister.
