Did anyone truly believe Gordon Brown enjoyed the music of the Arctic Monkeys?

Of course not; and it now seems that his favourite group is more believably the Bee Gees. The BBC report that:

"Band member Robin Gibb told The Times that the prime minister played their songs "every day", adding: "Gordon likes our music and I like him.""

I can just picture Gordon, hairbrush in hand singing:

"Life goin' nowhere. Somebody help me.
Somebody help me, yeah.
Life goin' nowhere. Somebody help me.
Somebody help me yeah. Stayin' alive.
"
