Gordon Brown on This Morning with Fern Britten

This is trainwreck TV. Gordon Brown comes over so badly, I did enjoy Fern saying this would give Gordon Brown an opportunity to be a "human being". Gordon Brown speaks so quietly throughout, he's trying to sound conciliatory and calm but he is still smiling at inappropriate moments.

Fern asks the question about Fuel Duty that the "heavyweight" interviewers don't, not that Gordon Brown answers the question properly.

Fern Britten also asks Gordon Brown where the Shared Equity money comes from, Gordon Brown claims that the Government has put the money aside for this, is that true?

Fern Britten asks GB about student debt whereas he didn't. GB waffles about more grants in the years to come. This is a typical GB trick; cut something by 100%, then when questioned about it announce 20% is being put back as though this was a great achievement.

"Dirty Hospitals, failing schools... pathetic"

Fern Britten asks about cleanliness in Basra and why not as good in the UK. The reply before I lost the will to live was along the lines of matrons, matrons, new uniforms, jam tomorrow, things can only get better.....
